"I did not do my homework on this Web site. If I had I would never have ordered from them. I purchased a Palomino AMD CPU and received the Thoroughbred core instead. Of course my motherboard only supports the Palomino CPU. After I ordered this processor I checked back the next day and saw that the Web site no longer offered the Palomino CPU. It was then that I got worried and sent the company an email. I stated that the CPU SKU# they sent me on my order was not the one I had ordered but the SKU# for the wrong CPU. I asked that they please check this before they mail out my order as I could not use the CPU that they had listed on my order confirmation reply. Well as I said, got the wrong CPU today but never did get a reply to my email. Well if you have read some of the other replies here you know it will only get worst if I attempt to reorder, most especially since this company no longer stocks the correct CPU. So be warned if you look as if you are going to save a few bucks by doing business with these folks, think again. Look on the online auctions sites as I will have a bran new never been installed XP 2000+ for sell at a steal, lol.

Follow-up:

I would like to mention that I was contacted this same evening by a tech. named Lawrence at Gameve.com. He admitted the oversite and offered to find me a Palomino core CPU. He also offered to wave the 15% restocking fee and $6 dollar free shipping fee. He also said as the fault was clearly on their end he would overnight the correct CPU as soon as one could be located. I had already ordered the CPU I needded from another vendor and placed the T/bred CPU up for auction. So I have at this point decided to leave things as they are. I wanted to post this update as an effort was made to try and come to a somewhat fair remedy by the Vendor. If I take to bad of a loss at auction on the T/bred CPU I will see if the vendor will off set this any for me."

"i am building a new pc and i found gameve.com thy had some good prices so i checked them out at resellerratings.com needless to say there rating not so good. so i went to newegg.com and ordered every thing at good prices. i used them before to build my last pc with no problems.but thy didn't have the IBM 120GB with 8MB hard drive. so i took a chance with gameve.com and ordered one for $158.00. when i got it i found out that it wasn't a IBM 120GXP 120GB 8MB hard drive it was a IBM 180GXP 120GB 2MB hard drive! so now I'm waiting on a return #. The irony of it is newegg.com had a IBM 180GXP 120GB 8MB harddrive in stock for $136.99 it just wasn't listed with the IBM hard-drives it was listed with the Harddrives/EIDE/120GB...Gameve called the next day after i made my complaint he was very understanding and polite and said thy had sent me the wrong drive by accident and that thy would mail me the right drive overnight.but I told them i had already ordered one so thy sent me a return # with no problem and there will be no restocking fee.thy do have a good policy on their restocking fee and returns.in the future i will probably give them a second chance if thy keep there prices lo and there resellerrating score up. "
