Not really satisfied with product, or customer service

"I ordered $250.00 worth of product only for it to take over a full week to be shipped, and was charged shipping on top of it. Usually, when you're spending this much, shipping is absorbed into the costs of the product. There were three swing cushions and one canopy that was ordered. The canopy makes this experience extremely negative. It is supposed to be a "custom fit" as this is actually made by Garden Winds. Instead of being custom fit, myself and my brother had to stretch out the canopy to fit it onto the frame. There are also two ringlets, one on each end of the canopy, where you insert a threaded bolt into the swing fixture, that secures the canopy from flying off of the frame. The holes on the canopy did not line up, and in order to actually tighten everything, you need to screw in those bolts. Try as we might, the ringlets wound up ripping. The original canopy had ringlets that were almost three times the diameter of the "custom fit" canopy. This is very frustrating, because the return instructions clearly state that no returns will be accepted on damaged product, and after calling customer service, it's very clear that they would not budge - just by their attitude on the phone when asked to speak to a manager. The statement after wanting to speak to a manager is, "Sir, the manager will only tell you what I'm telling you." Which is customer service translation for, "We don't stand behind our products and forget the customer". Not to mention if I did try returning the product, it would have taken an additional two more (14 days) to have different product back, if for some reason, they did stand behind their work. That would be a total of three weeks without a canopy, which for a summer, is kind of unacceptable at this point. I've got a Mom who has dementia, and she's getting worse. I am just trying to make her life more comfortable by fixing things that have been broken at her house, and she loves getting on the swing now, but has no idea the canopy is already damaged and mostly likely, won't last long. "

Ordered a Canopy

"Excellent service. They told us up-front that the canopy would be delayed as it was back-ordered and would probably come in by the middle of the following month (about 6 weeks). They were right on. We received it, almost to the day, when they estimated it would arrive. The canopy is exactly what we ordered. I would definitely order from Garden Winds again."
