"Ordered a gate package on 3/25/17. Received the gate controller and accessories relatively quickly. Made at least 3 phone calls/emails as to the e.t.a of my gate. I was told twice "this Friday". I reached David in the gate building department, who was very rude and short with his answers. I'll forgo the conversation in light of my temper at the moment. I had to talk to the president of the company to get results from him. I finally received my 6'x12' gate yesterday. When I looked at the gate, there was no diagonal support built in. ?? The website clearly states on several pages that it comes with it. How the heck is a 12 foot gate not suppose to sag with no cross bracing. I again, called David in the gate factory. He stated that they no longer build them that way and it's not needed. Hasn't anyone there discovered the art of cross-bracing? I'm so fed up with the whole company that it's not worth my time to argue with some **** 3,000 miles away. At this point, I have to purchase my own material and finish building the gate myself. That's only if I want to actually put any weight on it. What a joke. My advice to anyone, is to find a local builder, pay the price and have it done professionally. One final note, it looks like a blind person (no offense) jigged up and welded my gate. If they even have a jig. Horrible. "

"We purchased the gate opener in good faith, based on a chart, which has since been replaced by the current chart. We would not have oredered it knowing what we know now. Not only did we pay over $80.00 to ship it back, they charged us an additional $80.00 to restock their mis direction in the first place.
That's $160.00 + dollars, maybe they have this kind of money to throw around, we do not. I will not use this business again and will tell my friends not to use them either."
"I will no longer purchase anything from Gatecrafters.com. 4 out of 5 orders were missing parts or the parts that did come did not operate correctly. I own a Metal fabrication company in the Denver area and have installed 100's of gate openers so believe me when I say its not installer error or ordering error. My last experience has been the worst with their sales and technical support department and is the reason i will never do business with them again. We ordered an Estate ES 1000D double operator system, to start of the limit switches were bad right out of the box, the slightest wind and the operators go into lock out mode, gate randomly opens by it self even after replacing the exit wand. Now only one operator will work after all of this. I have been on the phone with Gate Crafters multiple times trying to figure out these problems, iI have been out to my customers 6 times now and its always something new that has broke (this gate opener is 2 months old and has had issues from day one) Gate crafters will not warranty the unit and refuses to refund me the cost.
All in all they do not stand behind their products and the tech department and sales department are extremely rude and talk down to you. "
