"The gate openers are installed and working as expected. The manual is not very well written and not up to date with my shipment. The extension cable did not match (colors) with motor leads nor manual. The recommended battery (35 Ah) barely fits the control box supplied and a one inch thick board was needed under the battery to allow for the wires entering the box at the rear.
I had to call once for advice, as the manual was not clear on the start position for the actuators - I had run them out manually, but had not returned them all the way back. This oversight caused me a problem with setting the close limit switches - the lead wires DO NOT allow for more than one inch of placement away from the main body. I eventually was able to satisfy the correct the arm mounting by setting the actuator arm in the closed position with the gate also in the closed position and securing the close limit switch. Subsequently, the arm was manually screwed out to line up with the gate - now in the open position, and then setting the open limit switch. This procedure worked - for me. The gate functions well and I am already enjoying its use.
I would have liked to have had a better manual, one that clearly depicted the product components and listed accurate descriptors.
The service technician I called was most helpful. My ordering experience was most satisfactory, Bill was most informative and helpful.

"All I can say is "WOW". I've called Joel, and everyone it seems at WDB (Gatecrafters) on my ES500. I sent them over 10 pictures and videos of me troubleshooting my issue and they had me send it in. Found out there was a known motor issue with ES-500. Bottom line, their customer service model should be used by every company who provides customer service. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT! Buy your opener from them! If you don't, don't expect ANY customer service from others...and you'll be calling these folks after you fail to get the customer service you want. If I could give them more than five stars I would!"

Called three times and each time the person on the phone knew what they were talking about and got me back on track to hook it up I would give them five stars each time I called. "
