"Several years ago, I purchased my first gate opener from Gatecrafters. The service was great back then. Lightning recently damaged my Zareba opener, so I once again contacted Gatecrafters for my next purchase. After purchasing an ES-502, Gatecrafters provided great service for installation. One problem was encountered as they sent the an incorrect 318 MHz frequency receiver/remote. This frequency failed to give reliable opening. Technical group exchanged with the 433 MHz receiver. Great help and same day shipping. Very responsive. Installation of the 433 MHz receiver works great up to 300 feet away. Definitely recommend Gatecrafters for your purchase and technical service."

"I purchased 2 Estate Swing 1000's because I didn't want to cut my driveway. I also ordered the solar package (10 watt). I had some issues with the mounting bracket because the instructions are fairly vague and I had to get an additional one. Once mounted, I bought a 35 amp hour battery as suggested and worked fine but the next morning it didn't work due to low voltage cutout even though the battery had 12.5 amps. I took the batteries back and got 2 gel 70 amp hour batteries (at a cost of $200 each). Next day same thing, low voltage cutout. Very frustrated, I called customer support and talked with Joel. He was very informative and helpful. He told me that this is basically a flaw with Estate Swing and there are new circuit boards available to remedy this. They sent me 2 new boards (at no cost) and my openers have worked great since. The whole install took over a month mostly due to shipping time for parts. If I could suggest anything it would be better DIY insructions, possibly a DVD on ALL aspects of installation. The customer servicewas great. They are available days and weekends, although some techs are more knowledgeable than others. Again Joel seemed to be the most knowledgeable and knew the openers like the back of his hand. I would recommend Gate Crafters to anyone looking for openers. "

"Several years ago I purchased a gate opener from another retailer. When problems arose that retailer was not able to provide assistance. That is when I found Gatecrafters. Many times over the years they have been there quicklly and effortlessly with parts and technical assistance. "When I ordered my gate frame, I gave them the measurement between the post and I was informed they will make allowance for the hinges. The frame I received did not have any allowance. They denied that they told me this. They suggested I put the hinge plates at the back of the post but that did not work. I had to pay a welder to make the frame less wide so I can install it. Lucas offered suggestion to use a zero clearance hinge, I appreciate his efforts and I know he tried his best to remedy the error but overall I am very unhappy with my experience with Gatecrafters."

"I bought both the ESC 1600 and 1602 series single/double swing gate openers which are a good product so far. A little overpriced though. I didn't like the phoney 110% price match guarantee they claim. It is actually 10% of the difference between the cheaper price you find on the net and Gatecrafters price. The gimmick is the Webdirect Bands sells this product under Gatecrafters and anywhere else found on the net, so you are really purchasing from them either way. They jack the price up higher at Gatecrafters and you can only get it cheaper when WebDirct also advertises the same product at one of their other web outlets cheaper than they offer at Gatecrafters...so they try to make you feel like you got a bargain with the pricematching, but it is just a gimmick. Overall it is a pricey product eitherway. "
