“Mark,
When your order was submitted the shipping address was not formatted correctly to be able to proceed successfully through automated shipping with USPS. Instead of rejecting your order and asking you to place it again we corrected the address and manually processed the order which can cause a delay.
Priority Mail generally takes 1-3 days. In speaking with USPS regarding your package they advised that Priority Mail is not a guaranteed delivery method and New York can take 1-3 days or longer due to the volume of mail to NY. In looking at your previous order it also did not deliver within a 2 day time frame. It seems your area does take beyond the normal time frame.
Anytime you need a shipment within a specific time frame we are happy to assist prior to shipment in choosing a guaranteed method to meet your needs.

Very pro-active

"I am upgrading this review. It turns out there was a message that went out explaining the item was on backorder. The issue was I did not receive it. Also, I received a response AFTER I posted this to tell me they were in contact with the manufacturer. Finally, I received an email from Sue teling me she saw the review and wanted to fill me in. I checked my spam folder and all, and it seems I did not receive the initial message re: the back order. This should be a reminder that email is a reliable, but not a guaranteed, service- much like the US Postal Service sometimes things go missing.

I thought the activity in the below review was VERY unusual for GigaParts as they have always been reliable and accurate in their information. In fact, in a previous order I felt the shipping charges were a bit strange and called into GigaParts. Sue went through the order, agreed the charges were unusual, and fixed the issue. So, instead of being a bit harsh, I should have called in to see what was happening BEFORE I gave a mediocre review.

So, thank you, Sue, Thank you GigaParts. You can still count on orders from me.

Although the website said they would be ship after the date I placed the order, when I did place the order there was a message stating the order would be delayed due to one of the items not available. They charged my account the next day. However, there hasn't been any email messages or notes place on my order to tell me anything about possible ship dates. I like the company, I am sure they are not being kept up to date from the supplier, but it would be good to know what is happening, even if it is "we don't know." Also, charging a card before shipping I believe is a no-no.

Your payment has only been authorized. For orders placed online actual payment is not taken until it is released to the warehouse for shipment. On 1/17 we advised by email that we expected to fulfill the order in 1-2 weeks. That time frame would be 1/31. On 1/17 your account was set up so that on 2/1, should we not yet have the product from the manufacturer, we will automatically be contacting the manufacturer for an update.

CUSTOMER SERVICE....?

"I order online and PAYED for FT-60R on 2/24/2020 with additional items.
I was notified Gigaparts was "OUT OF STOCK" on the radio and it will
take approximately one to two weeks.

I noticed on 3/3/2020 on your site that you have the FT-60R is available
for purchase.

On Wed, Mar 4 at 9:08 PM I received an email from your store giving me
tracking number, I also requested what shipping company would be used
and never was informed.

After deducing by tracking number it was FedEx, I looked on their site
and am given "PENDING". It seems a lable has been made, but I highly
suspect my package hasn't been picked up by FedEx, nor given an ETA on
delivery on my package, this as of 3/5/2020.

I have heard good things about your store, but it seems there is a dreadful
lack in "CUSTOMER SERVICE", I had to intiate "INQUIRIES" on my order
and never completely satisfied with their answers.

“Hello, James!
When you saw the radios come into stock on 3/3 they were in the warehouse location furthest from you. We could have shipped the 3rd but knew they would be arriving to our closer warehouse and shipping to you the next day. This would get your radio to you the soonest.

I see the email requesting the shipping company. The email was actually before we had shipped your radio so the customer service rep was not able to supply you with the name of the carrier. We ship by multiple carriers and it is not determined until the warehouse finalizes the package. I did find the email you received did not have a live link to your tracking. I apologize and we have fixed that issue. Any future tracking you should be able to click and get directly to your tracking information.

I see your package shipped 3/4 and arrived 3/7. The free shipping is an economy method and can take 3-10 business days for delivery. I am glad yours arrived within just a few days.
I do hope this information helps to better understand what took place. Our customer satisfaction is very important to us. Please feel free to call and ask for me and my team will get you to me.

I tried to call you, but have been unsuccessful. We have a few measures in place to make sure a customer is aware of a backorder. If out of stock, the product page it will state the current best expectation (like ships in 7-14 days, Ships in 30+ days, etc.). If a manufacturer notifies us that there is an unexpected delay we then update our customers.
We also have a orange flag that pops up in the checkout process that states "This item may delay your order." Then we do a follow up email advising of the backorder.

I am sorry that you did not notice the item being on backorder or see our email to you. We are always glad to assist. Please let me know if I can be of assistance in the future.
