"My experience was generally positive. The web interface worked well and I like my new glasses. The one small nit I have is that they sent me a shipping number several days before they actually shipped my glasses, giving a misleading sense that the classes were on their way. Eager to receive my glasses, the early notification of shipping made the wait seem all that much longer."

"I was somewhat pleased with the glasses that I ordered. I didn't care for the communications about the order as to the estimated arrival time. They included a spare pair of nose pads which I thought was a nice feature; however, upon examination, the nose pads and screws were much smaller than the ones that are on the frames. So, it appears they're useless. And, because of that, I don't rate them so high as they should pay more attention to the details."

"I ordered glasses on July 21st and today it is august 8th and still haven't recieved my glasses I have tried dealing with customer service but they tell me that I have to wait for the shipping dept to respond to them I have been dealing with this for almost a week they sent me a email giving me the tracking number and that it was shipping out in august 2nd and I called usps number and tell them my tracking number and they said all the have got it electronic info for the package. They haven't even got the package from them. I try asking for a supervisor and they tell me call back tommrow this is like the fourth day in a row. All I want is my glasses. And after paying 25 I would like to get what I paid for but its looking like that won't happen everytime I call they have me on hold and tell me I'm next in line and then 30 mins later they send me to a voicemail box that's full. Sent emails and np response Very upset and I was planning on refering my family and friends and ordering more myself but I'm wondering about companys morals. If I don't recieve them soon I'm going to take legal action. "

"recently bought (4-12) progressive, frameless glasses from globaleyeglasses.com. The glasses were fine however the frames and the bridge component separated. I called global and asked to have the frame fixed (not for free). They promptly told me that repair was impossible. I have attached the email response, removing the names of the interested parties.

I was told today that globaleyeglasses does not repair broken frames. that is very disappointing. I am willing to pay for the repair or even frame replacement, because the lenses are expensive and only 4 months old. I did not read that global did not do repairs on their products.


I think the initial quality was good, the order originally arrived on time, however spending a couple of hundred dollars on a set of glasses that can not be repaired is not perfect.

Therefore caveat emptor to all of you who choose to purchase from global. next stop the better business bureau.

"I'm a frequently shopper of online glasses vendors. I've used Coastal, Zenni, and Firmoo without any issues. This order was to be my first pair of prescription sunglasses, and at the price of a little over $40, I was pretty pleased.

I ordered on June 30th, and as of the 17th, I'm still waiting. I was notified a few days after ordering that my glasses had shipped, and I was provided with a tracking number for delivery confirmation on a first class package. Now, I know that the USPS doesn't REALLY track your order specifically. It's really up to the luck of the draw whether or not a stop scans your package, but I have NEVER had a package that wasn't scanned on receipt by the USPS or at least ONCE throughout its journey. After a few days, I contacted customer service for a verification that it was indeed shipped.

I spoke with a very nice rep named Gendalyn, and she informed me that I had the wrong tracking. She also said my package shipped out a day later than I was told. I had been sent two shipping notifications. I provided her with the first notification I received for her records, and I began tracking my package with the new tracking number. It's now the 17th, and yet again, the package has not been scanned at all by the USPS.

Last night, I contacted customer service again, but I have not heard from them as yet. Needless to say, I'm getting a little anxious. My glasses from Firmoo had to come from China directly, and I never waited this long. I also had at least two scans from the USPS while in transit.

Where are my glasses?

I'm hoping for a quality pair that makes this wait and worry worth it, but the longer I go, the more nervous I get. You can bet that unless something stellar happens with them, I'm not recommending this company to my friends or on my blog, as I have done with the other companies I have worked with.

All of this said, I will say that Gendalyn was quick in her response (less than 30 minutes after my email) and friendly. I appreciated her quality customer service. Just hope that I get a response now that I still haven't received my glasses! :)


**Update 7/19** Received my glasses in the mail today, FINALLY. They look totally different than the website. I bought a wayfarer style that was to have camel colored arms and no visible logos, and I received the same glasses...Except they have cherry red arms and a weird logo on the side that says, "Sheraf W." I will say that the quality feels great, but I have emailed the CEO for a partial refund or discount. I'll keep them, but I don't love them.
