"Do not use this company! There website states shipping Glasses 1-3 bus. days* . I ordered a pair from here and coastal.com. Needless to say, my son is wearing the pair from coastal .com and still waiting for the go optic ones. They are deceiving about having them in stock, they dont. Then, I called and spoke to a very rude person who told me, you should read the website. I said , I did and I ordered them on 8/10 as of today , I still dont have them. He said well, it can take up to 30 days??? WHAT????"
"Worst experience buying glasses online ever! Placed 2 orders in 2 days and neither were in stock, though they are advertised as being in stock. Horrible!"
"Do not buy from this merchant! I can see others feel the same way. They (consistently, it seems) provide terrible craftsmanship, slow service, and are dishonest. I ordered glasses and lenses, but the item was delayed for 3.5 weeks, despite calling them multiple times and never receiving a reason for the delay. Upon arrival, the item was a joke: the lenses didn't meet the frames in some places, they were cut asymmetrically, and there was an actual chunk of lens stuck between the frame and the lens! As in, it could cut your flesh! Go-Optic refused to refund me for the item, instead charging me for the lenses plus a 15% restocking fee. I spoke with Jeremiah who called himself the Head of Management: he was cold, rude, and had no desire to provide any customer service if it meant him losing any $. I also spoke with Trish: she was shockingly patronizing and rude. After 20 minutes on the phone with Jeremiah, I finally gave up and decided to dispute the transaction with my credit card. This is probably a small business run by Jeremiah himself and he is absolutely uninterested in honesty or integrity."
"I realize that 3.89 out of 10.0 people have had a positive experience with this company, but the 7.11 bothers me. They don't reply to emails about a product you want. When they hear of a lower price match all-of-a-sudden the product is not in-stock (I've tried 3 such requests under different names/emails). It's, quite frankly, a wonder they are in business at all. They are rude in chat, they are rude on the phone, they are just plain rude. I really wanted the older frame replacement but when they said they could get that in stock and I mentioned the price match, the frames are suddenly "unavailable." They don't respond on to resellerratings complaints as most reputable companies do and google ratings won't even touch them, and the BBB has them rated "F". Go for it if you feel lucky. Personally, I'd avoid them like the plague..."
"Great prices. Great service. Great store. Highly recommend it. I'm extremely satisfied with my order."
"This is the third time I am writing a review here. Originally I put I was very pleased with the quality, yada yada, and then no sooner did I do that, I found a scratch on the lenses the same day I opened the box. Gooptic.com does not provide a return shipping label so I had to fork out more money to do that myself. I got my glasses back after repairs and for a second time, opened the box, and while the old scratch is gone, there are two new scratches on the other lens! The first time I called customer service, the lady was very rude to me and actually hung up on me when I asked her why I should have to pay shipping for her companies carelessness with my lenses! I called her back and asked for her manager and she would not oblige. On the second time around, I called their customer service again. The girl was very nice and tried to get me some compensation for my trouble, but her managers would not oblige. Not only that, they REFUSE to fix the scratches on my glasses saying that they could assure me that the glasses left the factory with no scratches on them the second time around. (Bull!) So now, my options are: keep a pair of scratched glasses that I paid over $200 for or return the glasses without recouping 100% of my expenses...they only give back 50% of lens cost and charge a 15% restocking fee for the frames. If you want professionalism in an online optic store, don't go to gooptic.com. If you don't think it's too much to ask for the company to get your glasses right the first time and at most the second time, go somewhere else other than gooptic.com. I went with gooptic.com in the first place because they had the frames I wanted, and I would have had to open up a new line of credit to get my frames at Lens Crafters. Hopefully no one reads this review and thinks I'm some Negative Nancy who complains about everything. That's really not the case. This is by far THE WORST I've ever been treated by a company that I have patroned. I liken this experience to the time my husband was in Afghanistan and the locals at the market on the FOB sold him a POS phone for an arm and a leg only to have it not work and then they wouldn't compensate him or try to fix his phone. In other words, doing business with gooptic.com is like doing business in third-world country. So...buy on their site, I dare you, but you have been warned!"
"I was relieved to receive my glasses FINALLY. I ordered my glasses on 5/11, and item arrived on 6/4 - took 3 weeks plus. They used FEDEX ground and needed my signature, and FEDEX did not leave a note, so I had to wait for redelivery without knowing what time they come. They are not processing the order in-house - I added anti-reflection coat which is done by 3rd party, and they said that it will add extra 3 days going back and forth. I spoke to a rep once, who told me they will ship maybe 2 days later, and I got email that they were already on their way - wonder if customer rep or their system is reliable or not. Glasses were fine, and I am glad they come out OK, but no way to go through this nail-biting online purchase experience again. I want stress-free shopping, and too expensive to bet on the quality of product. I did purchased glasses from Eyeglasspeople.com and they were better."
"Do not buy from these people....they were terrible to deal with. They made an error and would not make any corrections that did not cost us lots of money. Buyer beware--you will not save money using this company. They do not fill their prescriptions correctly."
"Placed an order for 800 bucks. Spectacle frames - 280 lens - 480. Accuracy of manufacturing lenses beneath criticism. In the first frame distance 67.5 mm instead of 66. Glass carved inaccurate - the difference of the sample is up to 2 mm. As a result, the lens will not fit under the line, between frame and lens - gap. On the second - the angle of the cylinder made 173 instead of 115. I have been wearing glasses for 35 years. Have never seen such a disgusting quality of performance points. These glasses can damage my eyes. Go-optic offers two options: return the order, lose cost of lenses, and 15% cost of the frames. The second option - to return the glasses, paying $ 50 per parcel, of which they make up only 6, to wait at least 3 months (sending to Russia is not less than 40 days), and get back the same points, if the staff deems satisfactory in quality, or converted score of dubious quality.
DO NOT ORDER THE PRODUCTION OF LENSES IN THE GO-OPTIC. "
"You saved me around $75 and the included cleaning cloth really helps for my lenses. Thank you."
"I have had the absolute worst experience with your company. I place an order for my son's glasses on April 11. I called two weeks later and was told my frames were back-orderded and would arrive on April 30. I was told I had been emailed this information which is simply not true (i check all email, including spam and there is nothing from your company). I waited until May 3 and called again and was told they were back ordered again. The back order email was sent while I was on the phone with the rep. I was told my order would arrive by May 7. At that time I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told a supervisor would call me right back. I waited through the weekend for the call and finally called back again to speak to the supervisor on Monday and was told they would call me in half and hour. I called again today (Tuesday - also a day after my glasses were promised to me the second time) and was told there are no supervisors available and that my ticket (from THURSDAY!) was still open. Also, that my order was back ordered again and was now expected on May 21. At this point btw the complete lack of costumer service and the fact my glasses are clearly never coming I cancelled my order. Even then your costumer rep was rude and unhelpful."
"Horrible mistake! Placed an order for a $200 frame thinking it would be shipped the next business day. No, they do not have in stock, and there was no warning for that when the order was processed. Called the company, and after waiting for more than 10 minutes to get through to a representative, was told that it would take two weeks to be delivered. Since I needed to have the frame urgently I asked to cancel the order but she told me that I have to pay 10% cancellation fee. What a scam. And she was rude. Never buy from these guys."
"I love the new frames I ordered, Go-Optic.com made the process very easy and simple. They have all the newest frames and lens styles out right now. I have made Go-Optic my new home for glasses."
"They did a fantastic job of finding a hard to find Prada frame from Milan, Italy. This hard to find, new European frame was sold by GO-Optic.com at the very reasonable price and they even price-matched this item with the price found at another website. Very reliable and prompt order handling. I will use them again. "
"I ordered some frames and called the next day with a question. That's when I found out about the 10% cancellation policy and the 15% restocking fee for returned items. I didn't like the frames, so I forfitted 15%. Yes, this was stated in their terms and conditions, but who has time to read all of that c**p? I'll be more careful in the future, and I'll never order anything from go-optics again, ever!"
