"We have now been on 3 GAT tours and have always found them to have very informative tour directors and an itinerary that shows you the highlights of the places visited. One of the best things about GAT is the pricing which always includes airfare. It is doubtful that you could do the tour on your own at the price quoted."

"My trip to Japan was my second trip with GoAhead, and as usual they did a great job in planning all the visits to the shrines, temples, and historical sights. The planned dinners were excellent. The ride on the "bullet" train was exciting. The tour guide was excellent,kept the group together, and was easy to get along with. The five-star hotel in Tokyo was certainly the best I have ever seen, and was centrally located."
"Traveled with my mother for Rome City Stay tour and had a great time. We stayed on our own to go to another county. Go Ahead staff was very helpful is adjusting flight arrangements for us. Our tour guide in Rome(Fabrizio) was very helpful in several ways. He helped us make train reservations for our continuation and had alot of information on sites and places not on the official Go Ahead tour for those who wanted to visit those places. "

"This was our first tour with Go Ahead - we selected them because of their less commercial feel and the people we worked with in planning it were terrific. We went on the Venice, Como, and Italian Riviera tour, in October, and though the weather was not too good most of the time, the tour was almost everything we had hoped for. Our tour guide, Sylvana, made this a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Her knowledge of Italy, its sites, people, and customs was outstanding. But even better were her stories and personal anecdotes related to Italy, or just travel in general, plus her descriptions of food and cooking. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour lead by Sylvana.
The only down side was the food in the 'provided' meals, especially the first group meal at the hotel - not the best introduction to Italy. The meals were 'Americanized' with no or few vegetables, and any fish or meat was overdone. The last provided meal in a restaurant was somewhat better. It was when on our own that we had some authentic, and delicious, Italian meals."
"I've taken two tours with Go Ahead Tours and taking a 3rd in June 2014. First one was to Germany, Austria and Switzerland, then a couple of years later I went on a safari in Kenya and Tanzania. People always ask which I liked best. There is no way to compare the two. They were both all I had hoped they would be and more. Europe was beautiful and Kenya was exotic. I saw every animal that I wanted to and also saw some I had not known existed. Our guide knew how to find the animals, gave us a little history and was very professional and still quite personable. Loved most of the accomodations. All in all it was great."
