"More and more merchants are no longer honoring Groupon because of the way are treated by Groupon. Knowing this, Groupon should make requesting a refund easy - IT IS NOT!!!! Once you do get to the place where this occurs, you totally get the run-around from the Customer Service Representative. Then, they offer you a "trade-in" which you have 24 hours to complete. Groupon does not honor discounts during this trade-in period which is absolutely ridiculous - why should the Customer be penalized for a Vendor no longer honoring Groupon? Groupon used to be a GREAT program; I can no longer say that . . . "
"Groupon does not stand behind their customers! I purchased a Groupon and the vendor shut it's doors and now I am out $165. I've asked Groupon to either help me redeem or to provide me with reimbursement towards another Groupon. To date, neither have been provided. They did try and negotiate a 50% return, but that is not acceptable. I've talked with several customer service people and they just give me the run around. I'm very disappointed and would not recommend purchasing Groupons."

"I did everything I was supposed to receive my 30 B12 patches but I can not apply/stick them to my body to get the results it said it does. I emailed the company on the website to find out how to return but did not get a response. I called the 704 number for the company given to me by Groupon but the man recording said not to leave a message. I chatted with Groupon representative who said she would escalate to that team and they would email me back in 4-5 days and it has been 5 days and there is no response from the escalation team. I am now getting emails about "glad we could resolve your issue today!" when the email I got from the Shilpa in the Resolution Department tells me "I'm so sorry for the trouble. While I understand your frustration, we ask that you please allow 5 full business days (excluding weekends and holidays) for the business to reach out to you regarding your Groupon. They're working hard to get back to all customers who purchased this deal, so if you haven't heard from them yet, you should receive a reply very shortly! Please keep in mind that this response time may not include weekends or holidays." It is Friday a week since I chatted with Groupon and still have not resolve the issue and have to still wait. I am extremely dissatisfied with Groupon at this time."
"The last three times I've tried to utilize Groupon I've had a bad experience. Each time, either the product or services offered are not what ends up being purchased. And I'm the kind of person who reads the fine print. Each time, I either have to notify Groupon Customer Service, my bank or both.

"I purchased an item through Groupon that required me to go to the merchant's website and enter a redemption code and my mailing information in order to redeem. I tried this numerous times only to receive an error that my code was not valid. I then contacted the merchant directly to let them know my problem. After sending several emails without a response, I finally contacted Groupon about my problem. I explained to Groupon the exact above, and a day later I received a response reviewing the instructions on how to redeem my item and stating that I should contact the merchant with any other problems. So I replied to Groupon, reiterating that I did indeed follow the instructions yet continue to receive an error, and that the merchant had yet to reply back to my request for assistance. Three days later I receive another response from Groupon stating: "We find that customers are able to resolve similar inquiries much faster by contacting the merchant directly. You can find a link to the merchant’s website and contact information under the Fine Print on the page where this deal is featured." Great. So basically, since the I haven't been able to get a hold of the merchant and they have failed to respond to my messages I am out $20 for a product that I don't have. What a horrible way to run a business. "
"I have been trying to get a refund on vouchers my family & I bought to Dolphin Discovery. The facility contacted us to cancel & advised they would be closed through September. Groupon has been awful about refunding. So far 1 has been refunded but not the other. After sending the cancelation email from Dolphin Discovery 2 weeks ago, these should have been taken care of instantly. You can never speak with the same person, can not call - Groupon is awful."
"Groupon has the worst customer services representatives. My issues were no resolved and I will not be purchasing groupons ever again. Groupon now has a history of selling groupons for services that don't actually exist, nor does the business honour groupons being sold. Then groupon refuses to refund you for groupons that can't be used and force you into using that money for buying more groupons. This is scam. Do not use groupon. Contact businesses directly and ask for deals that they have going and do that instead. "

"I purchased a Groupon using a Groupon promo code but selected a old credit card I still had listed in my account. Then while trying to edit the transaction to put in the correct credit card number, I canceled my Groupon purchase. The 50 percent off promo code I used was for a one time use and I could not redo the purchase. I emailed Groupon about the transaction and received a prompt response the following morning. The promo code did expire but I was provided with a $15 Groupon credit to use toward my purchase. "
