"I received an email offering half off any Groupon. I decided to purchase an $80 off dinner for 4 at GiGi's. Not sure if there wasn't a chance to enter it or if I missed it, but the Groupon came through for the full price of $44. I signed into Chat to find the problem and their representative offered to reissue the Groupon and hold the additional $22 until I purchased my next Groupon. I said that was not satisfactory so he cancelled the sale and reissued it at the correct price. Thank you!"

"The store that I purchased the Groupon no longer accepted it. I called Groupon to ask for a refund. Instead of returning the payment back to my card they gave me a form of Groupon credit which they said said does not expire. The credit expired and Groupon did not want to reissue this to me. They took $136 from me. "
"The live Chat really was a great way to help me. Would rather have talked to a live person put I get why they don't do that. They were able to give me credit for the two vochers I had. I really thought I was out of luck for the business I had the vochers for went out of business. But Groupon took my problem to heart and helped me out in a easy and timely manner. "Eventually, customer service gave me a refund, but this was a week later after their subpar attempts to placate me. I had two groupons I could not use because the companies would not give me a reservation. Chatting with customer service was time-consuming and frustrating. It is clear that the goal of customer service is to avoid refunding at all costs and elongate the process so as to weed out people who aren't willing to persist. I am terribly disappointed with a company that I had liked and used for a long time. Based on this alone, I am going to be very wary of buying more Groupons. "
"Bought a Groupon for a Massage, could never get an appointment. Groupon expired and tried to get a refund/credit and all I got back was an email stating sorry but my Groupon has expired and no refund/credit can be issued.
Then they sent back another email, stating "we're so glad we could resolve your issue today" , This is probably an automated email they send to everyone whether they actually help you or not.

Finally got someone on "chat" and after about 30 minutes was able to get a refund/credit. "Why would a restaurant offer a Groupon two weeks before they were closing? Tried six times to do a live chat with Groupon at different times of day only to be told no agents were available and to check later. When I tried calling, I was informed calls were not accepted. Upon being notification via email, Groupon responded I could do a trade-in only until the date Groupon expired rather than a refund or credit. When I tried to book the same chain, but different location, Groupon informed me I could only get a "trade for 66% of what I paid! They also mentioned the Groupon was expired though it's good until September 22, six weeks away. When I tried emailing again asking why, I received an email saying they were excited to know they corrected issue and to please fill out this survey. Evidently, they don't read what is written and have grown too large to respond to customers! Never again!"

"The old saying "you get what you pay for" just doesn't work anymore. When you pay for something- you should get that OR you should get your money returned. There should NOT be a "Reseller" or "Reselling" option. You should have the money go BACK onto a credit card stored in your profile. PERIOD. If a business cannot POST pertinent information such as the NUMBER OF STAFF MEMBERS who are working on the weekend (other than calling them and finding out that they just have 1 staff member working) - then, that business should NOT be allowed to post ANY advertisement on Groupon. We do our research, look up the company online and it's like you have to go through all these hoops and jump over all these hurdles JUST TO GET THE PRODUCT OR SERVICE that you want. Pathetic. C'mon Groupon - hire me for your Internet Client Relationships Manager to get you all in order. Pathetic!!!"

"I purchased a hotel room at the Baymont Hotel in Spokane Valley. Upon check in, the only room remaining at 10 pm was not being offered to the public had has been "scrubbed". the carpets were still drying and the room had no ventilation. We declined spending the night in a musty, damp room with no ventilation and contacted Groupon in the days following. I'm still waiting to hear about a refund. "
