"I love Groupon and buy them regularly. Recently however I purchased a Groupon that came loaded with extra fees making the Groupon unusable to me. Groupon allowed me to trade that Groupon in for another Groupon. It doesn't get any more fair or easy than that. "
""I received an email from Groupon saying we are glad we could resolve your issue BUT they did not resolve it. It said the groupon was ending so you had to purchase it that day. I did and the next day there was a further discount on the same item. I tried to call and email, and go on Facebook, etc. to get the discount and they didn't respond to me for hours. When they finally did they offered something which wasn't even an option. When I tried to explain it took a day for them to respond again saying that if I wanted to cancel I had to let them know. By then the time limit for cancellation had expired! I submitted two emails saying that I was still waiting for help and my issue was not resolved! Then they have the nerve to write this email saying we're glad that they could resolve my issue!

"As my scheduled event was cancelled due to weather condition,I wanted to cancel and refund my purchase. And I contacted Groupon but they said it is not possible and asked me to re-schedule. But as I am traveller, Iwas not able to do that. After some email exchange, the fee was refunded but the process was a bit frastrated."

"Placed order for a hotel on May 8th. Go to check in on June 11th and find the location was 'closed until further notice' by the fire marshal on May 30th. Called to Groupon to inform of the closing and request refund right away. Was told I'd receive an email in 24-48 with their decision. Took 4 days for them to send the email to which blamed me for the hotel closing and directed me in the future to cancel before arriving. "

"I am from the US and was to cheap to get my passport to travel to the Canadian Side of Niagra Falls. However I accidentally booked the Canadian Sheraton hotel through Groupon. This was my first time using them. I called the hotel and they said I had to contact Groupon. I am not going to lie. I had issues with the hole live chat that really drove me nuts . They logged off four times before and I felt my issue of getting my cancellation was not resolved. However I got my email today stating my refund was being processed. Word to the wise...if you ever have this issue though get the hotel managers name and their approval number for the cancellation before you contact Groupon. I think I would try them again because let's be real, all of this was really my own fault and they were more than accomadating. "

"I have been extremely disappointed in LivingSocial, now owned by Groupon. I purchased a facial service from a merchant that I first met via LivingSocial. She is excellent and I have gone to her several times. I recently saw a notice on LivingSocial for her services and I purchased a voucher for a facial treatment. Upon completing the appointment, I discovered through the merchant that this service was for new cleints only. It was listed in small letters under "Fine Print". Having been to this merchant before, I had no idea that it was for new clients only as it was not listed anywhere in the printed advertisement. She said other clients had been confused also, that I could contact Living Social for a refund. I did contact LivingSocial and after making several calls, being told they would "refer my issue to an account specialist", I recived no call back and only "canned" written responses stating that LivingSocial refuses to provide a refund because it is past their policy of 3 days. The merchant doesn't want to accept it, so I am out $46.00. Very frustrated, disappointed and will be sharing this story with many people. I am no longer a loyal customer of LivingSocial. They have terrible reviews all over social media and even had a class action suit in the state of Washington for how they handle refunds. Makes sense!"
"I purchased a groupon for a company that when we went to use the groupon the staff at the store were rude, unorganized, and unprofessional, so we didn't use it. I let groupon know about the problem. They quickly refunded me the money. Costco could learn a thing or two about customer service from them."
"I have always had a great experience with customer service they have refunded my purchase in Groupon bucks when a seller hasn’t responded or I was unable to use the Groupon due to extenuating circumstances. I love Groupon it always me to try items at a reduced price. I have items I purchase regularly because they are priced reasonably. I don’t mind receiving the Groupon bucks as I shop here on a regular basis."
