"I needed to contact customer service and it was a complete hassle, once I did get intouch with someone via chat and email I asked multiple times for a contact phone number or phone call which never occurred. Over all it took 1 month for my issue to be resolved by cookie cutter emails. "
"I have had trouble logging in to groupon to try to take care of a couple purchases that I had trouble with. Instead I got a message Groupon is temporarily unavailable...etc, etc, etc. This has gone on for a couple of weeks and "chat" has been worse than useless. When I went to customer service and tried to get help that way I got as far as writing down my problem but the site would not let me continue when I hit continue nor did it give me any reason why.
In my estimation Groupon has absolutely awful customer service. I will take the losses I have had on those which I could not use and erase the app from my desktop."
"Groupon usually has very good deals and if there are any questions in regard to a particular Groupon their customer service is always very helpful. I have purchased a Groupon for a business that had closed and was issued a credit for what was paid for the Groupon whether or not the Groupon is still good or had expired. Their customer service response is very quick and accommodating and will resolve any issue. "

To be clear, I have addressed a clear issue, yet no attempt for correction has been made.
I have attached my emailed receipt from Groupon. It details my agreed purchase for 3 tickets at $43 for Sec G,J as offered. I paid the exact total for 3 tickets ($129) in Sec G, J. I then received voucher tickets in 'my groupon' for Sec V (this section was never an option at time of purchase). My tickets, receipt, and order details all state our clear payment agreement. I made no mistake. The tickets are non-refundable and for this reason I booked a non-refundable hotel reservation adjacent to the venue for my children's attendance ($363). The tickets I received from Groupon Live were not the tickets Advertised, nor were they the tickets I selected or purchased. The clear mistake is on Groupon's failure to provide tickets in the section purchased. Groupon acknowledged and apologized for their failure, yet no correction has been made. Raul S assured me that tickets still remain in Sec G,J on 5/16/18. In speaking with Oscar today (5/17/18). I was still assured that tickets remain in Sec G,J. The opportunity for Groupon to correct this clearly disclosed issue remains available now and has been for the past three days I've communicated the matter.
I have gone through hours of customer service calls and emails in the past three days, yet received no resolve. I have clearly addressed the failure to Groupon customer service every day for the past three days. I have provided all evidence of my purchase. Lastly, I have extended patience to provide Groupon the time to address the issue and appropriately resolve/provide the tickets I purchased. This is my final attempt to highlight the issue and provide Groupon the opportunity to do what is right/correct and fulfill our agreed transaction based on your advertisement. I hope that Groupon corrects the matter without the need for litigious resolution for their mistake. I currently ask to be solely made whole for the 3 tickets in Sec G,J or comparable (as agreed in my purchase agreement at the time of our transaction). If I am forced to escalate this matter to litigation, I will be forced to include compensation for the additional factors encountered based on Groupon's mistake and failure to provide our purchase agreement of 3 tickets in Sec G,J. These additional compensations will be hotel, hours lost, and frustration and disappointment for myself and little ones, etc. Please advise me of your decision to appropriately resolve this matter. I hope Groupon's admitted mistake may be amenably resolved expeditiously.

"I general, I don't need to contact customer support for Groupon purchases. But when I have had to, it has been hit and miss. Recently, I purchased three shirts of the same style in different colors, all of the same size. Two of the items were exactly what I ordered. One of them was in a bag indicating the desired size, but the item itself was four sizes larger than the desired size.
I contacted customer support, and they promptly issued a prepaid return label which would result in a refund for the item. Unfortunately, they somehow found a way to confuse the order with an order I made five months prior. So I contacted them again today to fix that, which they did. Unfortunately, now the item that I purchased and did not receive (in the correct size) is no longer available. Even if it was, I would probably have to pay full shipping for the single item instead of the rate I paid for the three to be shipped together.
This is a pretty poor and very unsatisfactory experience. The CS agent suggested that I just find a similar item, as if buying something, anything, even if it isn't what I want, is a good alternative to getting what I ordered."
"Taffany D should be fired. Ended the chat when she couldn’t answer a question. I have photos to prove. Very unprofessional. Said she would be right back as she was going to talk to someone and help fix our solution and then randomly ended the chat after she repeatedly kept not answering our question for us because she obviously did not know. Then I chatted with Mohamed and he was very helpful. Taffany was very unprofessional and an embarrassment for the groupon company. If she couldn’t help with our issue then let me know instead of lying that you are going to get help for our issue and then end the call. I also never got sent a rating email for Taffany like I did after the call with Mohamed. There was a reason for that cause she knew what she did was wrong. This is why you need real humans to talk to with knowledge on how to fix system errors and answer questions correctly and learn how to read. "
"Getting support is a pain in the but and impossible to speak to a human on the phone. You have to jump through a bunch of FAQ pages and then you are only given the option to email. I emailed and the response was **inadequate**, I asked how my mother was supposed to get the groupon i gifted her from the email that was sent to her into her groupon app on her phone and in the future if there was a way i could send a gifted groupon to her app. I received a email from groupon that stated "Sorry for any confusion. However, we do not have the options to the send the voucher as a gift to the recipient's Groupon account. The voucher can only be sent via email. Hope this clear things up". IT DOES NOT CLEAR THINGS UP. There is not one word about how she can get her gifted groupon onto her app. What is the point of having the app? I then received an email from groupon stating "We’re so glad we could resolve your issue today!" YOU DID NOT RESOLVE ANYTHING. Prior to this i had sent an email about another groupon that expired and i have not received any answer at all. Why would i or anyone want to use groupon if there is no way to speak to human in person on the phone. I am not inclined to use groupon again and may just delete my account.

"I've called and chatted no less than 5 times (multiple emails too) and I keep being told that my issue needs to be "escalated" and someone will call me back. Waited 5 days and no returned call. Contacted them again and was told the same, I asked to speak to a supervisor because I was told the same thing last time I called. After waiting 10 minutes for a supervisor I was assured she would contact the "other department" and have them call me right away. It is now the next morning and still no returned call. My purchase was for a $50 credit for each night booked at a Hilton and Groupon provided a link to Hilton for the reservation, not a coupon or code. I made my reservation using the link, but nowhere does it indicate a $50 per night credit nor can anyone verify I will get one."
"I had ordered a groupon for flowers from 1-800-flowers. Customer Service at 1-800-Flowers couldn't get it to work either. She offered $20 off an order if I wanted to order at that time. I did not,so I spoke with Groupon about a refund. This particular Groupon is non refundable. I was offered a trade in, and 10% off. Once I was ready to trade in, I went through customer service. They honored their word and worked to be sure my order was correctly discounted. I have used Groupon for many gifts, and have always been very satisfied with their customer service. I am a customer service employee at a medical supply company, its very important to me when I am dealing with a company ESPECIALLY online or via telephone.
