The BAY has the WORST customer service I've ever experienced.

Online ordering is non-functional

"Spent 2 days trying to order luggage for a trip I was taking. Their system would initially start the order, then cancel the order part way through. When I called customer service, they would say there was a problem with my card. When I called the credit card company, the charges were on my card and the card was fine (as I already knew). They had no idea how to remedy this and now I can't luggage in time for a trip. Will NEVER shop with Hudson's Bay online again. Should have stuck with Amazon since they are not living in the dark ages."

Good price but stupid in-store pickup policy

"I ordered a coffee grinder on-line; the price was great and as I only work two blocks away from the Bay in Ottawa, I elected to pick it up in-store. After all, there is a very large sign in front of the pick up desk that says you can order and pick up the same day. So the day after I ordered I went to the pick up desk to inquire when my order would be available for pick-up (remember, it only needs to make it from the 4th floor to the 1st floor). I was told it would be 3-5 BUSINESS DAYS. This is service?"

Do not order anything on line from hudsons bay

"I ordered an inptem which never arrived. I waited on hold to speak with someone from customer service who learned Canada Post lost the item. A tracking ticket was opened by the Bay with Canada Post. Customer service never followed up with me so once again I followed up with customer service several days later. Still nothing. Finally, I called customer service a third time, this time for a refund. After holding over 25 minutes for a supervisor, I learned it would take 3-5 days before he refund was approved, then another 7-10 days for my credit card to be refunded. The supervisor could not explain why there was a wait for approval when the Bay was fully aware my item was never received. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced for a retailer. Avoid having to deal with such horrible customer service and order from eBay or amazon, or anywhere else "

Dissappointing

"I had very disappointing experience with this company. I was at Yorkdale store and ordered the boots to be delivered to my house since they did not have my size. I gave the cashier my drivers license to copy my address.Of course, the credit card was charged right away. I was told that it would take about 2-3 days for a delivery. After 8 days of waiting, i called their customer support line and was told that the boots were returned to the warehouse and cannot be resent to me again.When I asked why they were returned without me getting them, they told me that the address was wrong. By the way, the customer service Rep was super rude and raised her voice at me.(too bad I don't remember her name) So, I asked to speak to a Manager, who was very polite and understanding and gave me a 20% discount on my next purchase.She told me that they will return my money within the next 5-7 business days. It has been 10 business days and I still have not got my money back! I don't recommend ordering anything online! As you might be left with no money and no boots! or whatever you are buying... very disappointing..."

Is noone checking whatever is being shipped?

"Ordered five items on sale:

One pair of pants was cancelled - no stock. - OK
Second pair of pants delivered couple of days later.. completely wrong. Ordered skinny pants got standard loose fitting pants. (It literrally says skinny on the receipt with the pants that had a tag saying it's a loose fitting one. so had to go in store to refund it. which took so much time because there's like one poor cashier available.
Then 3 items bundled together the next week all wrong sizes...
2 shirts ordered small .. got extra small instead
and jeans ordered 32w-30l.. got 36w and 32l...
So had to go instore again to refund and the skus on the jeans dont even match the receipt... WHAT?!

Bad Product description means severely disappointed.

"They describe a product as a Black Nike Hoodie. I order a Large shows up and its kids wear. Nowhere did they indicate it was for children. My "Search" was for a Men's Black Hoodie and this was the first Hit. Now I have to go through the hassle of a return because they can't classify a product...Oh and I "Should" get my refund in a couple of weeks. Fail HBC, you wont see a dime from me moving forward. Waste of my time and resources because you cant play online shopping...."

Worst online service !!!!!

"I first went to the Bay store to order a watch and they said it’s not in stock but available online so the sales guy ordered it and I got email but 2 days later I got a cancellation order email saying it is out of stock, I went to store again and I saw it was there!! Yesterday again I order 2 makeup products and now got cancellation email saying they are out of stock but today also the website shows they are in stock and I can order !!! Just no transparency no stock updates no order status updates on website. Just so poor and pathetic and horrible experience. I mostly order stuff online and never had such problem with any of the other websites. I sent so many emails but no replies!"

Great customer service and on line experience!!

"I've been ordering on line for several years now from The Bay and have always had excellent customer service! During my last on line order I had a problem Completing my order of an on sale item. I phoned customer service and spoke with Riza Roselle who delivered excellent and exceptional customer service and who went out of her way to place my order! She certainly deserves kudos!!! I love shopping the Bay on line and would certainly recommend this on line site! They have exceptional sales!!!

Would give negative amount of stars, if it was possible.

"Ordered a dress for next day shipping after my bridesmaid dress was ruined in a flood 5 days before the wedding - 3 days later, still don't have it. I've called Customer Service 4 times, including once where I spoke to a Supervisor. One staff member said it would be received by the next day, and of course, it wasn't. The other staff were not helpful and just kept repeating "I can see the order has been released, but we cannot follow up to see if it has shipped".

I explained that if it does not come, that's fine, but I need to know immediately so I can find another dress. The Supervisor, May or Mae I believe, was the rudest person I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She refused to credit my next day shipping, despite that it has been 3 days and the order has still not shipped, to anyone's knowledge. She would not contact the warehouse to see if the item has even shipped, and could not tell me if it is even in stock.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM THE BAY!!!!!!!

"I enjoy shopping in the bay and find the quality of clothing excellent, but the washrooms in Ladies washrooms in Fairview Mall Bay is a pig sty, very filthy. I think the staff try cleaning, but maybe you need more staff, because the people that use the washroom were raised in a pig farm."

The Bay employee is being racist!!

"I had a horrible store experience at Bramalea City Center The Bay on June 24th, 2017. One of the cashiers in the Home department was being racist to me.

I went there for returns around 6:30 pm. The cashier used the wrong receipt for my returns. After I pointed out and asked her to use the correct receipt for my return, she refused me and started blaming me because I am Chinese! She started saying that it was my fault that she used the wrong receipt for the return, and she refused to correct her mistake. I tried to explain to her but she would not listen. At the end another cashier came, and after I explained the situation to him, he fix it right away for me with the correct receipt.

I felt harassed by that cashier, and I felt that it was because I'm Chinese so she refused to help me. She refused to help me for no reason. Even after I explained to her regarding the different receipts she still didn't want to listen to me. This is racism! I felt terrible because of her actions.
