"I went to the Bay for my bridal registry. My guests complained that they couldn't order online - the website was filled with bugs that prevented from ordering. There were also bugs with the few that could order. The items they purchased were listed as not purchased and some items which were not purchased were listed as purchased. The Bay even canceled an order but took my guest's money and did not refund her and did not deliver her gift. When I brought these issues up to management, they reassured me that the registry was working. I explained to them that it was not. It took months before they recognized that there was a bug in their system. Once they realized, they told me my guests should have phoned in instead of purchasing gifts elsewhere. The issues were never resolved and I was not compensated. I suggest strongly to STAY AWAY from this registry. You will be very frustrated! there are many other options!! "
"This review is not deserving of a 1 star but there is no lower option than this avail for me to post. Numerous complaints of this outfit's HORRIBLE customer service experience. Purchased two sets of frames, boxspring, and mattress for seniors who slept on the floor awaiting these - when they arrived PRODUCTS were NOT what I ordered. THEY SHIPPED WHATEVER THEY HAD IN WAREHOUSE. Upon calling them back to fix the order - I have spent numerous hours each day only to get dishonest and horrible customer service runarounds. My order was placed on May 22nd and we're on June 11 and the matter has still not been resolved. I was told the products I ordered and which they advertised were not in stock, were discontinued and a whole bunch of other reasons and would be weeks before I get them. I've asked to have these FAKE items and/or products returned and was told there would be a 40% re-stocking fee for a mistake of their own - sending me fake products. SAVE YOURSELF SOME TIME MONEY AND AGGRAVATION. READ ALL THESE REVIEWS PRIOR TO PURCHASING ANYTHING ITEMS FROM THIS OUTFIT. THEY ARE HORRENDOUS, HORRIFIC, RIDICULOUS AND FRAUDULENT. I have recorded every single call with these reps. Trust me the calls are unbelievable in the manner in which they treat their customers. I even reached out to a local manager at the Eaton Centre store who did not even want to deal with this and merely hung up! I have these poor seniors still sleeping on the floor. ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY REFUSE TO RETURN IT EVEN UPON RETURNING MERCHANDISE YOU HAVE TO FIGHT TO HAVE YOUR REFUND PROCESSED. "Ordered apparel from the bay and realized immediately that i had forgot to add the apt number. shortly after i called them to let them know the issue and they had told me theres nothing they could do except try calling canada post, the company shipping it. they ended up both just giving me the runaround saying i couldnt do anything about it and it was a back and forth game contacting both companies which just ended up with my item being sent back to The Bay and them telling me once again that there was nothing i could do and that i would be getting a refund since i payed with paypal (which i am still currently waiting for after having the item shipped back) first time ordering from both these companies and last."
"I normally experience awesome customer service from The Bay until today. I bought patio furniture and received excellent service during my transaction. I raised by concerns regarding their delivery service and explained that I live in a stacked townhouse and asked if it would be a problem that they need to climb three sets of stairs to get to my patio (rooftop terrace). They said it wouldn't be a problem at all and if the boxes are too big to fit in the staircase hallway, they would just take the items out of the box and bring it to the patio. Unfortunately, this is not what happened at all. When the delivery personnel came to my door, they refused to bring the boxes inside to bring it up to the patio or even take the items out of the box to make it easier for them. They left two huge boxes in front of my door blocking other people's doors at the same time since I live in a stacked townhome complex. I am pregnant and alone at that time. I had to open the boxes MYSELF since I can't lift the boxes on my own, bring up what I can up the stairs and call my family and friends for help. I was angry, frustrated and disappointed. I expected the delivery personnel to do their job right and as what was promised by The Bay. Afterwards, when my husband got home, he called customer service to complain about our experience, the representative made us feel we were in the wrong, refused to apologize and refused to let us talk to the Manager. One of the most inappropriate comment she said, patio furniture stays outdoors and normal furniture stays indoors... which is why they didn't bring it in... WOW! Trying to make us feel stupid. As we explained again, that they had to go inside to get to our patio which is OUTDOORS.. she got quiet. We eventually hung up as the conversation was going no where. The worst customer service I had ever experienced and did not expect this from The Bay. I have now lost my trust in their service and now I refuse to purchase any type of furniture or items for my home at their store. Truly disappointed. "
"Bay would not honour coupon that was both in booklet and online. The ad makes it seem like the sale is for ALL hosiery, bras, and sleepwear, but apparently, it is only for specific items, that are not specified. What a waste of time searching through the website for these specific items, only to discover that not all of these items are included. After spending more than an hour on the phone with customer service, We were about to spend more than $200 in purchases but could go through with it. Customer service would not budge, and defended its false advertising. This is shameful practice and makes me not want to purchase items from them again. "
"Very disappointed -- should have checked here before trying to place a second order after the first one was cancelled (I thought it was just a glitch, but it appears to be standard practice). I've placed two orders from overseas for a Canadian relative -- I wanted to shop Canadian, but the Bay has really let the side down. Both orders placed after much time spent browsing online and picking items out; both orders confirmed, then cancelled 48 hours later -- and the charges are still on my credit card. I gather it'll be some time for the money is returned and in the meantime I'm $400 out of pocket, with no gift sent to my relative. I've emailed to ask when the first order's payment will be refunded, but I've received no reply. I will never shop online at the Bay again. Be warned and steer clear."

They block my account for no reason and I keep calling them to know the problem, but the customer service has only one answer " they will send my concern to Review Department and then this department will call me back" which is never happened for almost 8 months now.

"I've had nothing but a horrible experience shopping on the HBC website. Just now, after spending an hour choosing items for my family, I spent another 30 minutes in frustration trying to place my online order and each time getting the same message, "We are unable to process your request at this moment. Please try again later." So I tried 5 more times, each time keying in my CC numbers, and getting the same message.
I tried calling HBC customer service telephone line in hopes to get some answers as to what's happening with the site, and was literally yelled by a Customer Service Rep, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. Way to go, Hudson Bay, I will take my money and business somewhere else."
"Don't waste your time on online shopping. After wasting several hours to research and go thru reviews on multiple down jackets on Baby's website, I ordered one online. Only to be told a few days later the order was cancelled due to inventory error.
The customer care telephone operator said it as a matter-of-fact birthright manner that they do have inventory errors, and there are no alternatives (e.g. different colours or getting the coat later in the Fall etc). Seeing how many bad reviews they have (including from the Toronto Star), I guess this is a fact of life for the Bay. "

"I walked into the Hudson bay store located in metrotown, Burnaby and had an awful experience dealing with the manager name 'VIREN at the estee lauder counter. The estee lauder staff wasted my 45 minutes and when i requested for the manager to solve the issue...i was shocked to find out that the Manager's customer care skills were worse than his staff...he did not even listen to me properly and said it 's because of miscomunication and he can't to do anything. He was so rude and unapologetic ...wonder who recruited him. I end up returning stuff i bought and will never shop again from this store."
"Having a small baby and working full time,I usually buy lots of stuff online. Never ever had a such a bad experience. After placing order and when I expected to receive the items , they have emailed saying they cancelled 3 items out of 5 due to not updated inventory. Such a waste of time and very bad customer service after I called them. "
"Being Canadian and an experienced online shopper, I thought ordering from Hudson's Bay online would be a breeze. Nope. While the checkout process was really good and I thought everything was smooth sailing, a couple of days later I received an email saying my item was cancelled. Since I used paypal, it should have been returned right away as the funds were already in situe. Wrong! I called the company twice and they were nothing but rude and kept telling me it would be 30 days before the funds would be sent back to my account. It's been 31 days and still nothing. I wouldn't be too upset if it were around $20, but this was over $100! I shouldn't have to be on hold with paypal right now trying to get my $$$ back from a company who is really at fault. Don't order online from them! EVER!"
