"I ordered a Braun blender from the bay online and picked up at Yorkdale mall. I get home and open the box and the blender has dried food in it and the blades are damaged. I return it via mail and they told me I had to place another order for a new blender. They offered to ship to my home with Express shipping. But after about a week they I get an email that the item is being delivered to Yorkdale mall. I called them and informed them and they told me to call puralator and change he shipping address to fix their mistake. I'm still waiting for the item. Customer service is the worst. Last time I will ever shop at the bay. "
"As many of the users have already mentioned, the one day sale at HBC is a total waste of time. This is the second time I've tried to order products during this so called sale - only to be informed days later that the order has been cancelled. Sure enough, the product is available online at full price but they're unable (or unwilling) to honour the sale price. Calls to CS are pointless and go nowhere. Next time I'll go with Amazon to be sure to get what I ordered."

"I took advantage of cyber Monday sales so I wouldn’t have to go to the mall. Mobility is an issue for me. Ordered a couple men’s sweaters. When my package came the invoice said 2 men’s sweaters but I received women’s boots and jeans. I ended up having to go to the mall anyway and get a refund. I couldn’t get my original order filled. Super disappointing. "

Ordered a coffee maker - paid extra for next business day delivery - should have received it Thursday - checked status Thursday - BEING PROCESSED. Called - told it's being processed (I already knew that). Checked Friday morning - BEING PROCESSED. Called - told it's being processed (I already knew that), I said I need it today - it's for a gift Saturday. Transfer to someone else - Sorry it's on hold, I think because of a backlog. It won't ship today you will get it Monday. Ummm I paid an extra 20$ for next day delivery ... Sorry can't help (Oh and they barely speak English - or French). Transfers me again - Only thing to do is cancel.

Credit department sends you back to on line. First person was not able to speak in a manner that made himself understandable. Two days later, the woman hung up when she couldn't answer my inquiry.

"Tried to purchase a pair of Columbia winter boots on their site, which were advertised as the lowest price after doing a Google search. Right after I clicked purchase, I felt that something wasn't normal with their website. Received a confirmation e-mail right away, stating that the delivery time would be confirmed once the boots were located at one of their stores. It would take up to 4 days to confirm this and, if the boots can't be found, the order would be cancelled. Even though the website showed them as In Stock. 6 days later I got an e-mail stating that the order was cancelled, since the boots were no longer available.
Normally, I could understand but if I had known right away that they weren't in stock, I would have bought them elsewhere, for a slightly higher price. Now, they are no longer on special, so the price everywhere is significantly higher than last week.
I think the main problem is a very poor online retail system, especially for such a large company like HBC, which doesn't have live updates or a lot of the other functionality that other companies have in 2018.
This was my first experience with HBC online and I will not be shopping with them in the future."

"Worst online shopping! Site is horribly laid out. I had an item missing from my shipment but the pack slip said it was included. 2, 30 min calls to customer service and 2 emails and still not resolved. Credit card, just don’t, they never sent my card, I was 2 days late on a 328$ bill since I didn’t have account info to set up payee and charged 8.40 in interest. What a joke. Quality of products is going down as well. Bought a $300 jacket and pocket stitching broke in less than a week. Never again "
"I bought two large dressers which were delivered as promised. However only two men were sent and they said they were unable to carry them up the stairs to the bedrooms. Two weeks and four calls to the ‘Customer Care Centre, and they are still sitting in my living room. Never again!"
"All around HORRIBLE experience...order was placed on Nov 11 it's the 21...after me writing c.c several times to try and cancel because it was taking forever. I called and told them to cancel the order it was a ridiculous wait and hadn't even been shipped yet. If I had have ordered it from Amazon it would have arrived by now....even though it wasn't shipped they could/can't cancel and order...if you can imagine. Save yourself a headache order from Amazon it's a company that clearly values their customers and their over all experience."
"I purchased a Chrsitmas tree and a few other items online. There were a few ornaments I would have liked to also purchase but the website said they were out of stock. I get it, it was a great sale so I wasn't terribly surprised they were running out of stock on some of the items but at least the website clearly said they were sold out. What drew me to the One Day Sale was the phenomenal deal on the Christmas Tree so I ordered that and a few other things and was super excited I nabbed such great deals before they sold out! So that was Tuesday, and I promptly received a confirmation email saying my order would either ship the same day or in a couple days. Well my order didnt ship; I received an email 3 days later saying they couldn't fulfill my order and cancelled it! WTF??? It would have been nice if The Bay just said they had sold out of their one day sale online but to check the store for stock, I would have totally done that!!!
The Bay is not what it used to be in my opinion, the 'old' Bay would have put more effort in fulfilling my order or at least communicated better!
Message to The Bay - dont send a confirmation email and then 3 days later send a cancellation email. At least send the cancellation email the same day so I could have had an opportunity to shop in person and take advantage of your Famous One Day Sale!"
"I ordered size 9.5 boots for $269. I waited a few days and they arrived as a 7.5. I was frustrated as I had hoped to wear them that weekend. I called immediately to customer service, they told me that I should buy another pair on my visa and then return the wrong size for a refund. I agreed and paid another $269 for a second pair. Then the rep said they sent me an email return address label. I hung up waited an hour and no such email arrived. Again I called customer service and the after repeating the story the next agent said “I’m sorry ma’am but our system is down we cannot process returns please call tomorrow”. Frustrated I called again the next day, repeat told again the return system is down please call tomorrow. So tonight again I called (this has been over a week now) and was told again at this very end “I’m sorry ma’am but our return system is down please call back”. This time I asked for a manager, I said you have charged me double and it’s your error and now you waste my time and have no resolution to get my money back. After two long times on hold I was told there is no manager available for 24-48 hours. They were too busy. I’m so angry. Their error sending me the wrong size and now they have wasted my time and can’t even escalate it. Never order online, this company rips you off and I do think this call Center was not in Canada, they are all hard to work with and sound like they are reading a script. Huge disappointment."
"I ordered a winter jacket online. And waited for over a month contacted customer service being told the order got lost and cant replace the order since the item was out of stock. I inquired the tracking number for the missin item they would not provide, asked if they were found it would they then redeliver it to me they told me No. Then waited for the refund for weeks. One of the worst online shopping experience period. The people working at the call centre in customer service department sounds super ignorant and are lacking proper training. Worst customer experience ever dont waste your time and money order on Hudson Bay online."
