"Quick and easy to purchase , even at the last minute"
"Still waiting on my full refund. "
"Pleased to get a refund after trip was cancelled due to COVID "
"HTH was recommended in a WSJ article. The Covid virus travel policy was excellent with a good price. Unfortunately after multiple tour cancellations, I requested a refund and received it promptly. I hope to use HTH again in the future."
"Very satisfied. Will purchase from them again."
"I bought this policy so if there’s a problem with our trip related to Covid we will be covered. We did everything we were supposed to do regarding testing prior to our trip however the lab did not get the samples results back to us in time to clear the proper procedures to disembark for a trip. That evidently is a reason that they don’t cover you. We wanted to go but the lab didn’t get the test results back to us in time we were supposed to have them within 72 hours prior to travel still did not receive them almost a week later. As of this point of time the insurance company refuses to reimburse us as it is ““ not a covered reason“. Without the test we wouldn’t be allowed into the country. DoNOT buy this policy. "
“Hello,
Thank you for your review!
The underwriter of your policy has set Administrative Guidelines in place for customers whose trips have been cancelled due to Coronavirus. Please see below. If you are eligible for a refund of premium, please send us proof that your travel supplier cancelled the trip as well as proof that your full trip cost was refunded to you. Our email address is: tripprotection@hthworldwide.com
If you are not eligible based upon the guidelines below, you will still be able to transfer your policy to a trip in the future - even if it is not yet booked - based upon the guidelines for Trip Postponement below. We would need proof of the cancelled trip for the exception to be approved now and then when you book the new trip you would forward your new itineraries to us so we could make the changes to your policy. Any time sensitive benefits you were eligible for at the time you originally purchased the policy will remain in place. If you were not originally eligible for time sensitive benefits, you would remain ineligible. Your new trip would need to have a return home date of 18 months or earlier from the original return date on your policy.
Premium Refunds
1. Trip Cancellation
If the tour operator cancels the trip completely, and provides a full refund of trip costs, Nationwide will refund the premium for the travel insurance. Nationwide will not offer a refund for travelers who voluntarily cancel their trip, even if the tour operator gives a full refund. A refund for purposes of cancellations by travel suppliers due to COVID-19 can be money back (credit card/check) or a credit/voucher for future travel.
2. Trip Postponement
If a Traveler postpones their Trip due to the Coronavirus, Nationwide will allow the Traveler’s current insurance policy to extend to those new trip dates provided:
a. The new trip dates are no more than 18 months from their original trip dates.
b. Additional premium, if needed based on the new or postponed trip, will be collected. No refund will be considered if the premium for the new or postponed trip is less than the original trip premium.
If you have questions or concerns, please email tripprotection@hthworldwide.com.

"It smooth as can be, no issues."
"Easy to navigate and find information"
"Rather than going to the usual companies that I purchase travel insurance from I wanted to be sure in the Covid time to have the best rated company. I was pleased with the service I received in acquiring travel insurance. Explanations were very helpful, especially in gaining information in 'cancel for any reason' add on."
"I got travel insurance from HTH Worldwide for a trip outside the US. Because Covid is so bad in the US now, I have decided not to come back until I can get the vaccine. I asked HTH Worldwide if I could extend my coverage but they told me that their company policy does not allow extension of coverage past 180 days while I am still abroad, and if I wanted a new policy I would need to return to the US for at least one week in order to buy a new policy. I find it very disappointing that during these difficult times HTH Worldwide would not be more flexible and help me maintain coverage while I am abroad. They did not really seem to care about my situation. "

"On Dec 8, Viking cancelled our cruise. I contacted HTH, and they had some rules, which I immediately complied with. Within a day or so, I was notified by Insure My Trip, that they had been told by HTH, that my credit card would be credited soon.
It didn’t happen. I contacted Insure My Trip after a week, and the lady said it might be a week more. I waited. Nothing happened. Finally, after nearly two weeks elapsed, I called Insure My Trip. The lady was surprised that there was no refund, so she took my card number, and said she would send it on to HTH. She said her computer indicated the refund was completed.
After two days, I contacted them again. I was told that HTH had told Insured My Trip that the refund was done, but they never put the refund thru at HTH. I was told I should have the refund soon, and the Insured My Trip rep even sent me the written confirmation from HTH.
Sure enough, in a day or so, the refund came thru. Finally!!
I realize these insurers are having to cancel a lot of policies due to cancelled sailings, but this is ridiculous.
They can take your money immediately, with no delays. Getting it back is a lot of runaround. I would have known nothing if not for Insure My Trip. They just went by what they were told. Great customer service from them. Not so for HTH. "
“Hello,
Thank you for your review!

"Didn’t need to use it but felt good knowing we were protected and the price was affordable "
"We use this firm to supplement our travel insurance needs for extended stays in Costa Rica. I hope I never need it, but I am happy with the experience and rates."
"Just like with any travel insurance it’s the best when you don’t need to use it; so I can’t really comment on their reimbursement practices. But overall it was fairly priced, has a tool to produce a letter stating proof of insurance coverage and gives a peace of mind. "
"Numerous calls to HTH in RI, they were as helpful as they could be, however, no one was ever able to connect me to HTH to King of Prussia, PA in the Accounting Department. PA would only e-mail me directions that Never worked (3 or 4 times). I needed to threaten PA with a complaint to the Insurance Commission in the State of Maine, only then did Ernesto from PA call me and obtain my credit card information to PAY you! This experience was horrible."

"I changed my mind about traveling overseas during the pandemic and they stayed true to their 10 day change your mind refund policy.
I shall be buying my insurance from them when I rebook my travel in a few months time"
A rep from HTH Travel Insurance, PPhth, has responded:
“Hello,
