"H&David are not the same company as they were a few years ago. I have placed many orders with them in the past and where they USED to replace their low quality orders with another order, they now simply say "I'm sorry you aren't happy with your order" and nothing else, they could care less. This is not the same company. Grocery stores have comparable or even better fruit. Spend your money on other sources of online fresh fruits. H&D ought to change their name, because they are NOT performing like the real Harry and David of the past. Harry and David of the past were the most honorable business. These guys are the typical "no care" outlets."
"Terrible horrible very bad service! Ordered a birthday gift containing fresh fruit and baked goods on Feb.14th promised delivery by Feb. 22 Via Fed Ex. Unbeknownst to me at time of order Fed Ex hands it off to USPS and now it sits in a post office unrefridgerated with no guarantee of a delivery date! This is unacceptable delivery service for a fresh food delivery company! Will never order from Harry and David again not wil I ever use Fed Ex delivery service again. UPS would have had it delivered in one with their ground delivery service on the east coast! "
"Ordered a Sympathy Gift for a neighbor who lost her husband after years together...FedEX delivery was the only choice for delivery for 13.99 in addition to price....Order on the 6th of February ....The gift finally arrived and at some point the box got into the Post Office hands...Do not understand the switch between carries but gift was delivered on Valentine's Day ...How inconsiderate of this company and if you pay 13.99 for FedEX delivery don't you think the gift should be arriving more promptly???? "Ordered baklava was shipped on Jan 30th,today is Feb 4th still dont have it was sent to fedex but FedEx doesn't have it. Sent to my post office on Saturday unefrigerated it's now monday its sitting in a mail truck and I might get by 8:00pm today and it will be thrown in the garbage. "WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!
I spoke with their supervisor who was blatantly talking down to me when I asked if he could help me with a gift card and to also apply the free shipping their website was advertising. He clearly didn't want to help me and said, "you can only use the gift card and not get free shipping" I asked him, why that is and his response was" I'm sorry I can't do that" His tone of voice from the very start was clearly telling me, I hate my job and I don't want to help you. He was so rude. I asked over and over again, that his assistance would be greatly appreciated, but still he was unwilling to help.
To the higher ups- you should really think about retraining your employees. Customer care should be#1 PERIOD!

"I RECEIVED A WOOD CRATE OVER THE HOLIDAYS. THE TOP DISPLAY WAS SNACKS AND A BOTTLE OF WINE WITH SHREDDED CARDBOARD TO MAKE IT LOOK NICE. WHEN THE BASKET WAS EMPTYT I LIFTED THE SHREDS AND THE BROWN PAPER UNDER I FOUND ROTTED PEARS. I NOTIFIED CUSTOMER SERVICE OF THE SITUATION AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. VERY POOR PACKAGING AND NOTHING TO INDICATE THAT FRUIT WAS SMOTHERED AND HIDDEN UNDER BROWN PAPER. THIS IS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HOPEFULLY I TAUGHT THEM SOMETHING FOR FUTURE BUSINESS BECAUSE THEY LOST MINE!"
"I am sorry I did not heed the warnings of the previous customers. As reported the customer service agents must hate their jobs as they treat issues with a blase attitide. I ordered a Christmas Cheesecake for someone in Oregon. I was told it would arrive by 12/15 frozen, or nearly frozen. It arrived 12/19 not frozen at all-
Eugene said they are sold out of the Christmas Cheesecake, so he would upgrade my purchase to the party tray- kept repeating it is an upgrade to a 50.00 product. I didnt care about the price. I wanted it delivered. He assured me it would be shipped on the 26th of December, would arrive by the 28th frozen. He also said he would send a confirmation email- never received it.
The 28th came and went. I checked tracking to find the date has been changed to delivery by the end of the 29th- we are now 3 days out on a 2 day frozen item. The 29th came and went.
This time I spoke with Jean. She claims they did everything on their end and could offer a refund. She didnt seem to care that the cheesecake never arrived.
Today is Jan. 3, 2019- 6 days passed since the delivery date of 12/28. The recipient received a box of squished, warm cheesecake...with a label on top saying how to preserve the appearance of your frozen cheesecake. I would love to see someone from Harry and David eat that mess of a cheesecake that was sent to a very dear person.
I have ordered many things from Harry and David in the past. Our future business has been severed. They could at the very least send cookies to my recipient along with a letter of apology for not receiving a Christmas surprise."

" I will not be using Harry and David again. They advertise that they ship to APO addresses. I ordered something for my son who is serving overseas. He would be spending Christmas alone. It was ordered on November 28. Not until December 14th, MORE THAN TWO WEEKS LATER, was I informed that it couldn’t be delivered due to an incorrect address. The error was Harry and David’s in that someone put his international phone number as part of the address. That error was cleared up. Then I was informed that he wouldn’t receive his gift until after the New Year. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement. They did offer a 20% discount on my next purchase (ha!) and waived the shipping charge. Then, just yesterday, and again today, I received emails from Harry and David that my order shipped, two separate packages. A FULL TWO WEEKS AFTER CORRECTING THE ADDRESS. HAD IT BEEN SHIPPED ON THE 14th OR SHORTLY THEREAFTER, IT WOULD HAVE ARRIVED BY CHRISTMAS..it was obviously ready to ship the 14th when I was notified about the address fiasco, I reiterate, the fault of Harry and David. I am sorry Harry and David’s holds our servicemen and women overseas in such low esteem. I wish I knew how to notify the military that Harry and David’s is not a trustworthy company for military families to use when they want to send gifts overseas. I contacted the company today to register another complaint and also shared that I would be posting a review. Their response, after my having detailed the problem explicitly: “Thank you for writing.
Please accept our apology for the uncertain things that happened to your order. And thank you so much for letting us do amend's. According to our system your gift for your son will arrive by January 04, 2018.
Thank you for the opportunity to explain. If we may be of further assistance, please let us know.”"
"Received brown pears. Called customer service and they promised to resend the order by Xmas. Never received it. Called back and they had no record of it even though they say there calls are recorded. Called again and was told to call back and I would have a credit for the amount of the order. Called to reorder and again was told there was no record of me calling on the third time. Finally agreed to credit the sender for the dollar amount of the item. So I have received nothing for a gift that was sent to me. Will never place another order with this company."
