"Harry and David use to be quality you could depend on. Not anymore, last year my package arrive late, not as scheduled, second order did not arrive prior to specified date and my clients left on vacation. This year I got an email stating my package was delivered, it never arrived. Sad to say, I will not go back to using them. Very disappointed. I also do not like dealing with their customer service dept. located in some 3rd world country. Takes twice as long to get through the communication barriers"
"How did Harry and David go from such a nice company to such a terrible company. I ordered a $100 gift basket for a customer, paid additional for expedited shipping even though I ordered on Dec 9 and just discovered today that the entire order is missing as in gone. They have outsourced customer service so that there is a language barrier and you speak to someone with no clout. I have called five time and today they finally said they will refund my money - we shall see - but it does not take care of the fact that my customer will not receive a Christmas thank you gift from me. I am so done with this company. Avoid at all costs!!!"
"We ordered several gift surprise baskets for family and friends up north and they were just dropped onto their porches without any notification and the fruit was cold and some pears especially were not ripe to eat . Otherwise presentation very nice "
"Keep you money and save time. Avoid them at all cost. Placed 5 orders in early November. Received email that the item was shipped however it was never sent out. Called customer service and no one could understand plain English. I was told to call back in 7 days. It has already been over a month and half. I am out over $200 plush shipping and customer service is still investigating. "

"I ordered 3 items after an offer of free delivery which is great. I did not like being inundated with multiple daily emails with offers while waiting a week for my order to ship. When my order arrived 2 of the 3 items had compromised freshness seals. The buttons were up & not tightly sealed. Very aggravated about that. I've emailed asking for replacements.

"Customer service is terrible. I ordered these cookies for a college student during finals. They were suppose to receive them Dec 13th at the latest. Then the date changed to dec. 14 and now it state dec 17th. What a mess. The student which is my grandson will be leaving school to go home now. Considering I ordered it Dec.6th and it never left the facility until Dec.11th. What the heck. Please work on your delivery. So disappointed with this company. "
"I have been sending Harry and David as gifts for years, assuming that they are sending fresh fruit, wonderful baskets, etc. .....today, I was the recipient of pears and apples. If this is what my friends and family have been receiving from me, well, I apologize. The pears were all brownish, one was wrapped in gold paper like it was special and it was rock hard. The other pears looked like I've had sitting around for a week and tasted just like any old supermarket brand. I had a choice of a gift card and a choice of fruit (trying to be healthier) and asked for the Harry and David fruit....bummed, could have gotten a gift card to favorite restaurant. I was already thinking of ending my relationship, as their sales and codes NEVER work when I put them in, but I think this did it....."
"I ordered a basket for my son. He sent me a picture of what he received. 5 pears instead of 6 as pictured. I hate it when companies scam me. I don't care how much the bloody pears weigh, I ordered 6 pears!! Is that really too difficult for you?? Be careful with Harry and David, they're shifty!

"I really liked their chocolate and I wanted to get some more, so I ordered BACK IN JULY, truffles, said it was sent on the 29th of November, UPS never even got the package, or was never scanned, and they gave me a 40 minute run around which I thought the guy was being nice... yeah nope never again. "Their online ad says, "Save 15% on Any Order - No Minimum. Shop now and save using code GO15." But when I used the code, I only got a 7.8% discount, so I called them. All of their representatives were polite but none would honor the advertised discount. Even supervisors at two levels said they didn't have the authority to offer what their own ad says!
I've used Harry and David for many years. I used to consider them a good company, but this seems like pure "bait and switch." I guess they have changed for the worse. DON'T BELIEVE THEIR ADVERTISED DISCOUNTS!"
"They closed their store in Park City, Utah. So, being a truck driver in parts of the Western U.S. I was able to find a store. I found my rewards program no longer existed, discount coupons no longer valid. Paid full price, that had increased since last being in a store. Their store open hours were shorter. Finally ordered online. My order, even with enormous shipping price, didn’t qualify to ship, citing I hadn’t spent enough! Added some thing to make the low limit to ship, the shipping price got more expensive, and when the order came, it was not even the right size container I had ordered...it was two small containers, one that I didn’t even order! I guess I’m done. And I guess it won’t matter to them. They obviously have discovered their trail to bankruptcy, and made the wrong decisions to correct their path."
"I ordered 5 important client gifts totaling almost $1000,00. to be delivered before Thanksgiving. One of the gifts were not delivered and not only did Federal Express not deliver, they simply put a notice on my clients front gate of home, did not ring doorbell, not make any attempt to deliver. My client now has to go to pick up the gift at Federal Express office AFTER holidays which is an inconvenience for sure.
When I called Harry and David they did not offer any refunds on shipping and/or barely said "sorry:". Harry and David need to take responsibility for the delivery carrier they choose especially when they promise items to be delivered on or before a specific date. I ordered these items 10 days prior so there should be no excuse to not be delivered. Never using them again!"
"Placed a $219.00 order for H&D’s Thanksgiving Dinner for 8-10 people. Ordered the Monday before Thanksgiving — 2029 — confirmation said two day delivery, so Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving. Never showed up. Called and Harry and David customer service rep said the order was scheduled for delivery the Monday after Thanksgiving. These guys have always been overpriced. Now they blow deliveries. Shop anywhere else. They should be out of business. "
