"I bought a Sherpa lined jacket for my husband for Christmas. (Order 50231701)
Upon opening the gift Christmas morning, we discover that the zipper is defective. Disappointed, I called customer service and was assured of a simple exchange if I simply send the jacket back with the fedex label provided by the representative. I box it up and send it as directed, and tracking shows it is received by Heartland America on Jan 3. I then get a refund to my credit card for $44.04. No phone call, no email, no explanation.
I call customer service again and am advised that the item is no longer in stock so an exchange isn’t possible. However, I can see the exact item in stock on the website. (Only one, and it happens to be the XXL I need.)
The representative tells me to reorder the jacket online. I do, but this time the total is $52.44 (order #50238783) for the same item. So, I get to pay an extra $8.04 for something Heartland America should made right without additional cost to me.
Currently waiting for the replacement jacket to arrive. Hopefully I don’t receive the exact same jacket back with the defective zipper…..
