"In April 2012 I purchased a a car stero from Hifisoundconnection however when the unit arrived it was damaged. Two of the brackets that were attached to the unit were broken. I didn't want to install then have the unit wobble in place so I asked to have in replaced. I followed their instructions regarding returns, I sent pictures of the damagaed unit, sent the unit back at my expense and explained I wanted an exchange for other another like the orginal one I purchased use not damaged.

After a they received the damaged unit I didn't hear anything so I followed up with an email and was told one was being shipped out shortly. I waited several weeks however NO STERO! I called on June 18th 10 minutes before the closed, was placed on hold only to have someone answer place back on hold then disconnect. When I called right back of course they were closed for the day! I noticed on their website they were out of stock of the unit ordered so I sent another email to their sales dept aksing for a refund because it's now June, I ordered the unit in April, the unit is out of stock - they've given me no idea when they'll have any more, plus the orginal was damaged and all I wanted was an exchange in the first place. I receive an reply back stating they refuse to refund my monies without 20% fee, they refuse to refund my shipping, I should consider a store credit or an alternative product. They have nothing on the site I want except the car stero and if I select an alternate which would probably be cheaper then the orginal I'd have to fight to get the rest of my refunded.

The bottom line is they have poor customer service, they basically say once we get your money your not getting it back or we're going to keep a portion of it even when it's our fault. I didn't ask for a refund but an exchange for a broken product however once they took so long (2 months) then they no longer had the item and didn't know when they were going to get another that's when I ask stated I wanted a full refund. If I were a fickle customer, canceled the order or changed my mind I could understand. However after receiving a DAMAGED UNIT in the first place all I wanted was an exchange and THEY DON'T HAVE IT! That isn't my fault but I'm being made to feel like it is.
Bottom line do not do business with the company as there is a high probability you'll get burned some how.

"My order was placed at 3:01pm on Friday 6/1. It was not processed and shipped out until Tuesday 6/5. The order arrived on 6/8 with 6 of my 21 items missing. Who ever packed the order, wrote 'split' on the ad-insert they put in the boxes. I emailed sales and someone replied with, split means the order was split up and should be on it's way. Tomorrow will be Thursday 6/14, and I still don't have my missing items, almost two weeks later."

"The products are what they say they are and in working order. However they state that they will beat any price which is not true they will fight you over there own make best offer price stating that it is an automatic acceptance by the computer and that they have no control over it. If you do get a better price that way and have a store credit with them you can not use that store credit unless you call in and then argue with them to match there own price. Their customer service is horrible, rude, and uninformed about the products they sell! They don't have any real communication with their warehouse other than notes in an account from your order. Their customer service department will be open when the other departments that have answers to your questions aren't leaving you to have to call back and wait on hold again which take forever! There resolution for out of stock items is to upgrade you to a similar or newer item but will put your order on hold until either you call and complain or some manager finally takes and interest and says upgrade which could takes days or weeks. When you do get someone to help you end up getting told after that help that they should not have done that and that they can't honor that offer. All in all not the worst company I have dealt with online but it is up there, and as for the best deals online well as long as you don't mind a 5 year old product then yes, however if you are looking for something current then they can be beat in price and customer service. Also packing was extremely poor, different items thrown into one box with minimal packing material, and my subwoofer was shipped in the manufactures packaging leaving it exposed for any and all possibilities of damage! Only reason I would do business with the company again is due to the discount offered to me for all their screw ups, and to give them a shot to redeem themselves!"

"I accidentally came across HiFi sounds' products on accident via their Ebay store. They were one of a handful of sellers who offered an alternative product for placing additional speakers in the back half of a Jeep Wrangler.

They make carpeted 6x9 speaker boxes, and theirs were covered in black material, and about $10 cheaper than other similar products.

I received them, packed very well and in rapid fashion as apparently they are based out of MO. My speakers sound great in the boxes, and the boxes are built like tanks.

I've seen better carpeting jobs, but that's just a minor observation, and for my purposes, with the top off as much as it is, these things would probably be better off sprayed with rhino liner or something comparable.

I think I just gave you guys a product idea.
