"Hi from a very satisfied Canadian costumer.I ordered a stereo for my motorcycle and a hard to find face plate for my 2009 Suzuki equator.These items were sent on the 27 of April,2012 & I received them today the 4 of may.This was ahead of the scheduled time of May 8,2012.I am 100% happy with the whole experience I have had with HiFi Sound.I would highly recommend this business to my friends,family or any one looking to buy these type of products.***** I'll be back in the future thanks Darren."

"DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!! They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Cheap prices yes, and fast shipping for (most) items, but you will never want to deal with their customer service if you have an item on back-order or missing from your order. I would not want to guess what a warranty repair/exchange would be like on a product. It's nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone, but after about 15-20 phone calls with 20+ minute hold times, I finally get someone on the phone that said "oh thats coming out of our Stinger warehouse" and should go out today. Same response via email for 4 days now. Nothing, no tracking number, nothing. I wished I would have never bought anything from them. Lesson learned no doubt.



UPDATE! 5/10/12 - The story gets better and I wasn't going say anything until this response by Chris. James with customer service has been helping me out and has been great to deal with. Thanks James! First, thank you Chris for your response. I wasn’t going to bring up this latest issue because I'm shipping some items back for store credit. I'll get to that in a minute. First, I have already talked with James about all this and yes you are 100% correct on the grills. I was wrong about that, and as you can see I NEVER included that in my review. James was very nice and sent out a line converter and free grills because of the multiple delays on the line converter. Yes multiple delays. It took well over a week to get a stupid $20 line converter. My email and phone number were correct from day one as I was getting shipment updates and did receive a phone call from James immediately after posting my original review here. So I know they were good. Please don't try to discount my complaint by saying I had other illegitimate complaints. I don't think James would have sent me speaker grills if he felt that HiFi was not in the wrong with the delay in the line converter. I NEVER asked him for the grills, he just offered as a nice gesture for the bs I have gone through. Again, thanks James.
Anyway, now on to the latest and this one really just baffles me. Part of my order was a loaded Chevy Avalanche box with 12" Kicker CVT subs that goes behind the seat and is held in by the mid-gate rear window retainer system. Cool idea, but little did I know this box does NOT work. I found out after the fact by research that many people over the last couple years have bought this exact same box from HiFi and other sources and it does not work! However these companies just keep selling them. That’s the part that baffles me. See here. Lots of people with the exact same issue I’m having. One thread was from 2009 with the exact same issue and the second thread is a recent thread within the last month. Three years HiFi has been selling these boxes and they don't work!

The subs literally touch the back of the seat and sound horrible. I have video and pictures I would be glad to post to back this up. They slap the seat back (plastic) and sound like crap. I didn't shell out 500+ bucks to have a crappy sound system. If I wanted that I would have gone to Wally world and got some Sony Exploders for a hundred bucks. Also, the subs would be damaged by constantly hitting the seat back (again plastic, not carpet.) I tried everything to get some extra space between the seat back and the box, but nothing worked. I folded up towels which did kind of work; however the seat back would not lock into place. If the seat back doesn't lock into place it just swings forward when you hit the brakes, and not to mention I have two young kids with booster seats. Not too safe.

So, I called James first thing this past Monday and he was very apologetic for it not working and suggested a few things to get it to work but I had already tried all of them except the thinner waffle grills. Of course the Kicker speaker grills would not work because there is zero room for them. They are very deep grills. He suggested some thinner waffle style grills and I told him it just wasn't going to work because there is not space, not even 1/8" of an inch. My friend has an Avalanche as well and we test fitted the box in his just to see if it was just my truck. Nope, same issue. I went ahead yesterday and bought some metal waffle grills local just to try and the bottom of the grills got smashed from the seat back and the sound quality was horrible. So that didn’t work and cost me another 25 bucks. These subs sound amazing with the seat down or even with the folded up towel trick. There flat out just isn't enough room and these boxes will not work unless you don't care what it sounds like or if the subs get damaged. James setup a return for the box and subs for store credit and I appreciate that. Although I do have to pay $40 bucks to ship it back to HiFi. Oh well, I think everything will work out. I just wished that companies would not sell items they know will not work and have had complaints on before. I don’t get that. However, James has been great and I'm sure I will get the subs I want from my store credit and I will move on with my life. So there you go Chris. I would love to know if you have personally never heard of these boxes not fitting. And if you have why your company continues to sell them. I will be amazed if you say you have never heard any complaints about these boxes. Please respond and let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

We attempt to call and email all customers who have a backorder every day. It's possible the number and/or email address you provided was incorrect.

I currently show at this point all items on the order have been sent to you, but also show many other illegitmate complaints regarding this order. For instance, I show there was a complaint submitted about grills not being included. Though if you review the listing it states no-where in the listing that grills would be included. You can also confirm, by calling Kicker that grills have never been included with their subwoofers since their company was founded.

I ordered the 500w kicker 4ch install kit. After one week of no responce or tracking number I was told the item was damaged and could not be shipped. Then they offered to replace it with another kit that did not meet the same value or have a kit completeness comparable to the kicker brand. I was willing to buy the next bigger kicker install kit and I thought that is what they said they'd do. I got an email saying to pay only $10 more (kit difference cost was $30), so I thought that this was them trying to do the right thing.... NO, they wanted to send me a Stinger kit (after I said I was ONLY looking to buy Kicker). When I get the confirmation email showing the stinger kit, I said I was done dealing with them, and want my money back!

I may be a rare case for them???? Regardless, I will never shop from them again. Too bad since I do stereo installs as a side job and I am always looking for good prices. Too bad this time was for a kit I needed to install a system in my own new truck...

Edit: James from customer service called me to appologize that the problems had happened. Apparently I was comunicating with 2 different sales reps. Not sure if my phone caused the issue or eBay's system. This caused some serious miscommunication. When James called we were able to straiten out the issue and get it resolved. So hopefully I will be installing my stereo system this weekend depending on how long it takes to ship.

"BEWARE of their used car stereos. The sent me a total of 3 filthy, broken units. None of them worked. I had to pay for return shipping. Then they only gave me a partial refund because they charge a restocking fee for returns. YES, THEY PLAN TO RESTOCK THE FILTHY BROKEN STEREO AND RESELL IT TO THE NEXT CUSTOMER. Do not buy used products from HifiSoundConnection.com. They sell broken stereos that they do not even test before they sell them."

"I ordered a kit--amp, 2 speakers, cables and stands. Was told everything shipped. Then the order arrives and there's no speakers and no explanation. They just didn't show up. It was extremely difficult to get tracking information, too, or confirmation of shipping. After two calls over a full week and promises to "check with the manufacturer" I finally learn that the speakers were on backorder all along, and it was going to be another 5-6 weeks, maybe, before they shipped. They think. I was never told this up front! I asked for the speakers to be canceled off the order, my account credited, and was told "no problem sir, we'll take care of that for you." I then ordered the speakers from another supplier so I'd have them in time for the start of Zumba classes offered at our business. A week goes by, no credit. Another call and another promise to do the credit. Still nothing. A second call, then a third, and now--today--still no credit. These guys have had my money for a month and I'm furious and am being forced to consider legal action. Worst experience I've ever had. If I ran my business like this, I'd be out of business. Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere."

"Before ordering I did some research and saw that HiFi Sound had relatively positive feedback. I ordered products on 4/9 and was told on 4/11 that products shipped and that I would receive tracking information that night. On 4/12, when I had not yet received shipping information, I checked in and was told the exact same thing as I was on 4/11. I decided to wait it out and on 4/13 when I still had not received tracking information, I inquired again and was given the exact same story. I decided to dig a little deeper as to the reputation of HiFi Sound and was shocked to find that this is a common occurrence and that they have terrible customer service. People had waited months for orders that they never received. I let my bank know that we may have a potential claim and that I was going to ask for a refund.
I contacted HiFi once again, bear in mind that all communications were though their online chat feature. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get someone on the phone at HiFi. I attempted to make over 10 phone calls and never once got a person on the line. They told me that they would process the cancellation but that the products had already shipped and that I would receive tracking information that night (same story again). I told the consultant that as long as I had confirmation on Monday that the order was cancelled that I would not follow through with the claim with my bank. On Monday 4/16, I checked in and was told that everything has been processed on their end and I should have the money in just a couple days. Today, 4/19, I started another chat and found out that the cancellation was still not processed. Only during that chat session, did they change the status of my order to “Pending Cancellation” and said that it was going to take 5-7 business days to see the refund in my account.
I am at a complete loss for words when it comes to this company. It literally seems that there isn't anyone there who cares or even anyone in charge for that matter. I am going to turn this into my bank to let them handle it as I cannot deal with the ignorance of these people any longer. Do not make the same mistake I did.

"Good seller and I like their prices and they ship super fast I ordered at first part of week and received it at the end of the week.however there is one small discrepancy though I ordered a 5 farad stinger cap and received a cap made by stinger a sound quest made by stinger.I have never had 1 problem with hifisc. until now.but I will not give them a bad rating over one discrepancy.the cap I received was not the one I seen in the picture though but I know they will straighten it out in the near future,however I will still do business with them again in the coming months or days."
