"I was helping my son with his first online purchase, and it was thru HiFiSoundConnection for audio equipment. First one had problems with the unit, but HiFiSC was very very helpful in replacing the piece and quick! They received our return on a Monday and by that following Thursday we had the replacement! Talk about fast... And the equipment failure was NOT their fault, it was a manufacture issue. Hey, it happens with electronics. Point is, HiFiSoundConnection really built online trust with us and I would definitely feel comfortable shopping thru them again!"

"I ordered an interface box/cable for my iPhone to a Cadillac STS, and an iPod adapter to a 12-volt accessory plug/RCA connection. After receiving them, I found out I didn't need them, but did need a BMW/iPhone interface box/cable. I contacted them for a return/exchange, and they refused because I had opened the packages. The products were not installed, and repacked with the original packing, but they refused to take them back. They quoted a 'policy', but it doesn't match the policy published on their web site. Bait and switch. I'll never order anything from them again.

And then James from their customer service team saw this review and fixed the problem, and took me from a 'one star' to a '5 star'. All is forgotten and forgiven. Thank you, James!

"I received a kicker and sub package for a very low price. Although I did receive the wrong amp, I contacted HiFiSound and they organized my return methodically and quickly. Although after sending my amp back. I even asked a few questions and they gladly answered. One thing they did do much to my annoyance besides sending wrong amp, was they sent the wrong enclosure. The enclosure they sent me was an inch too big at the top. So rather than going through the trouble of sending that back too I just moved my back seat forward an inch. That defeated the purpose of me ordering a custom box for my truck, but o well. But in the end the low prices, and the customer service made all of it better. Ps I don't know trans date "

"HiFi has done right by me in my books. I ordered a XM satellite install kit for my OEM headunit. The reason I purchased it was due to the fact it was cheaper than amazon. It was supposed to have included the xm tuner and the antenna along with it, however there was a mixup and it was not included. I reached out to the company and they explained they would give me a partial refund. I looked around online and was able to find the tuner for about half of what I paid for the kit from this company, they refunded enough for me to go ahead and buy it on their dime. GREAT customer service. "

"My wife and I were shopping for a sound system for our escalade and the choices were limited. I wasn't looking to spend the 2000.00 a shop wanted for the box and subs alone, thats not including the price of the amp. We were shopping around on eBay for any options, and came across Hifi soundconnection and was very pleased with the prices, and they had what we were looking for. We called the 800 number and ordered the shallow mount package for the escalade ext. after we had placed the order we came across this website, and was reading nothing but bad things about this company. This was on a Friday evening after Hifi was closed. I wanted to call and get reassurance that we were not going to get ripped off. I went to the eBay reviews and got all the reassurance I needed. After reading through hundreds of awesome reviews and only came across 1 neutral one that was resolved, I had hope. Despite the area my family lives in, Dillingham, AK. it usually take about 2 weeks plus to get anything from anywhere here, was surprised to pick up our stuff 8 days later. Shipping was fast and at a decent price, customer service was awesome, and the product was exactly what we wanted, classy and new. 5 stars across the board and will be shopping there when we decide to add on to our truck.

"Some months ago, I wrote a scathing but incredibly accurate review of my experience with Hifisoundconnection. That is what it took to hear back from this company despite dozens of email/online chat/phonecall requests in regards to my order being filled properly. However, in order for them to honor the agreement we had, I had to remove my comment, which is not fair to the consumer at large, especially since they only ever made good on one of two agreements. One of my DOA lighting fixtures was replaced with a new unit- the other still has not been, despite a promise on their part to make good on my entire order.

So, I am reposting my accurate, true, opinion of this company, and that is as follows:
This company, whenever faced with a product issue, hides behind the anonymity of the internet, and distance between them and the customer. In my opinion, they have some of the worst customer service reps throughout their chain of command at their call center, that come up with excuse after excuse, delay upon delay.

As always, when dealing with internet companies, pay attention to those reviews that warn you of a company, since positive reviews are often written by third-party subcontractors that are paid to write false, misleading reviews. Most don't even tell you WHAT they bought. It is the NEGATIVE reviews that tell you what to be wary of, and the reviews on this site will undoubtedly warn you away from hifisoundconnection.com

If that doesn't do it, check out their BBB reputation, with HUNDREDS of filings against them.

These guys are the perfect reason to spend a little more and buy from local retailers.

“Hello,

As you are located internationally it does make the return process a bit harder and under normal circumstances this would have not been any trouble. FEDEX Does not allow us to send a label, or schedule a pickup. We are happy to get this replaced or repaired but we can't do that if we do not have the item back.

I am very sorry for all the troubles you had on this order. Looking further into your order I did find that some of the items you purchased were listed as refurbished on the listing. There will be a large bold text at the bottom of all refurbished product listings that do state that an item is a refurbished item.

We are more than happy to accept a return and swap you out for a complete new item. When this option was given to you, you outright refused and wanted to be sent a brand new product without returning the defective unit. It does state directly in our policy that we do not cover the shipping back to us, however we do cover it back to you. I have notes and live chats from you stating that if you don't receive a complete brand new light you will post bad reviews without returning the defective unit.

As this is an international order Fed-ex does not even allow pre-paid labels, or pick ups across the border, as it is 'domestic property'. This only affects international orders which sadly affects you.

As stated before we can not send out free product without receiving confirmation that the defective product is on the way back. We have set you up a return and have it all ready to be swapped out for you. As we are always more than happy to extend out a helping hand, we do have to protect ourselves as well. We have no way to tell if the product is actually defective till it is received. We can not just send out free product when you have refused to even to send the defective unit back.

"I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. I placed an order for a sub stealth box for my 2006 Dodge Ram truck and they sent the wrong one. A couple days after that I recieved another stealth box from Hi Fi Sound that they sent to me on accident. I could have kept it but I was honest and called their customer service to inform them of their mistake and they sent Fed Ex to pick it up. So I thought that they would be courtious enough to take back the sub box that would not fit my truck, but whom ever I spoke with told me that " I am stuck with it and I should put it on E-Bay or Craigslist to get my money back". So needless to say, my experience with Hi-Fi Sound was not enjoyable whatsoever and good luck trying to get someone to talk to at the customer service because you will be left on hold for ever!! F++++++++"

I would like to note a few things here to try and clarify. This order was placed back in late December, and generally our return policy only extends 30 days. It seems we were just contacted in march and just made aware this box did not fit your vehicle. We do post the dimensions of our boxes on the product page as well. The representative was just standing by our company policy set in place.

I do think there was a bit of a misunderstanding. We would be more than happy to accept this box back for a refund for you. However I believe the representative you spoke to wanted to try to save you a bit of money, (shipping costs can be pretty high) and recommended eBay or Craigslist. I apologize if this upset you, but we meant no ill intent, just a way to try to make sure you get your money's worth.
