"When my CD player in my car broke, I found HiFi Sound Connection selling it used for a very reasonable rate. I placed the order, but when the stereo arrived, I found that it was not even remotely the correct stereo (it was a tape player radio for an Acura, I ordered a stereo with CD changer and climate control for my Subaru). I contacted HiFi to let them know of the error and to try to get the right part.
The first person I spoke with (Ray) was rude and not helpful. They were so generous to finally waive the 20% restocking fee after I complained about being financially responsible for their error. All I wanted was a return label so I didn't have to pay shipping. They were out of the stereo I needed, so they finally agreed to a refund and said they didn't need the wrong part back.
After nearly a month, still no refund. I called again and the second person I spoke with (Eric) was very helpful; he confirmed that the refund did not go through. At this point, I noticed that the stereo I needed was back in stock and he personally went to the warehouse, located it, correctly identified it, and it arrived a few days later. I'll be installing it this weekend. It arrived in decent condition (it is nearly 6 years old so not mint but certainly acceptable) and at this point I feel as though the company has rectified the situation. "

I am very sorry of the hassle you have experienced in this order. However let me note a few things here in your order.
When you contacted us on 1-17, the same day you received the replacement. You sent us an email at exactly 4:54 pm, about 30 minutes before closing. We receive hundreds if not thousands of emails a day and we can not reply that fast. As well call logs indicate calls around the same time. EVERY single email that comes to us is replied to within 24 hours. As well any voice message left is replied to in 3-4 business hours, normally a lot sooner. Please at least let us reply to these messages before you open cases and leave us feedback as we can not fix a problem if you do not allow us to.
Please understand we are the retailer. We do not open new boxes, test every single product, manufacturer or anything of that sort to your product. As I'm sure you can understand our customers would be quite unhappy if they received opened and a used product. We can only trust that the manufacturer has sent us a complete working product. Any physical damage is normally caused by fed-ex mishandling. As a business it would not make any sense to stomp on product, break it, and then ship it on purpose. As it would just come back on us. As well in this particular case, the boxes shipped are pre packed by the manufacturer as well.
I understand you may be frustrated with this particular order, but we would have and still will be happy to help you with this issue.
