"I was appalled by the customer service from this company. I have never received nastiness from a "professional" business. I recently purchased a used stock stereo for my car. It was described as "unlocked" which meant it would in a different car other than the one it was originally installed in. Well it turns out the stereo IS locked. I then try to put a CD in it to see if would take it. Sure enough it didn't. I realize my stereo is locked and broken after spending $40 to get it installed. The stereo itself was only $50 by itself which isn't that big of a deal. But with shipping and the installation, I've spent $104 on something that doesn't work. I quickly emailed hifisoundconnection explaining that I would like to send it back. I also did as ebay asked of me and left a review. As you can guess it was negative. My item was broken. Of course it's going to be negative.
The fallowing is an email that I received a few hours later:

and left us neg. that boat sailed. If your willing to remove it today I

I would like everybody to see that this is how hifisoundconnection does business. They threaten their customers. I WILL not be taking down my negative review.
I know this will be responded to by one of hifi's little "customer service representatives" (if that's what you can call them) and they will try to make it sound like it's my fault.. Sorry, not this time hifi.

I think I should have probably done a little research before I had decided to do business with your company. I fully DON'T expect to get a refund from you. I have done a little reading after I got your email and it seems anybody that has a problem with their product, has a very hard time getting anything back from you. I'm not going to even bother. The $20 that I probably wouldn't get back (after I would have had to pay for shipping TWICE for something that doesn't work) isn't worth the headache. Your company REALLY needs to get a little more customer oriented. Threatening your customers definitely isn't the way to go.

While any complaints is too many and I wish we had a 100% track record perfection is not possible in a high volume low margin business like this. There is a right and a wrong way to ask for help from someone and you picked the wrong path. You should feel fortunate to get any help at all and not have the police called for your threats and demands.
