"Sometimes you have to take the good with the bad. While HomeAdvisor does a good job of getting leads my way, they do a terrible job of verifying the credit request. Many times when they deny a credit it’s because they were not able to contact the lead. If HomeAdvisor would work harder at verifying these request they would likely make more money in the long run because they could keep more reputable contractors. Instead, it’s things like this that drive contractors away from lead services like HomeAdvisor.

"Once you agree to the quote HomeAdvisor debits your debit card or charges your credit card before the work has begun and before a repairman, contractor, etc. arrives! Upon arrival, you are quoted another fee by the person chosen and sent by HomeAdvisor! The fee charged by HomeAdvisor is not refundable. HomeAdvisor also lies when they inform you that you don’t have to pay more than the quote! If you want the work done you have to pay. I had to pay twice, first to HomeAdvisor then the fee charged by the roofer!
