"Total waste of time, 3 out of 4 contractors never showed up, never called to reschedule. Don't use Home advisor "

"I'm a contractor whos getting bad leads! Every single time I called to get a credit for a bad lead I get denied! If a customer is not sure if she/he wants a job to be done, if the phone number is a wrong number, if the job is not on my description, etc I get CHARGED!!! It's crazy! Home Advisor is so bad that they are buying leads from another company!
I think all the contractors that had/have problems/issues with Home Advisor, we should get together a blast these thiefs onTV, on BBB in all social media and website possibles. They are stealing amounts of money from hard-working people and they just simple denied the charges with no reason, just because they want to! Just today I was denied 4 charges! ex: wrong phone number, job no under my description, customer not sure of wanting the job, customer not answering the phone! It is very Bad!!! and WE "contractors" CAN"T do anything about it, just lose MONEY!!! They take advantage that the market is slow to charged contractors for BAD Leads no matter the reasons!"

I would be careful with auto leads and opportunities,etc

Ended up cancelled after a month i was being charged for the leads even if u didnt win or open any automatic. I was out like $300.00 dollars with no customer i didnt want or look at or nothing it was a horrible experience. They couldn't refund any thing including the start up $260.00. So i wouldn't recommend it unless your cautious and bid quick and win

Other than that im out. $560.00 with no customers what a waist of time and money im hoping i can write corporate about this

"Andrew Robertson (salesperson out of K.C. office) called me at 6:20 while I was eating dinner with my family and promised my company a job if I would rejoin there company. I originally stated no but he PROMISED ME A JOB THAT SERVICE MASTER COULDN'T GET TO. So I brought in 3 employees in for that job that costs me $500 and he never called as promised with client information. We called multiple times, sent emails and text messages to no avail. We used Home Advisor in the past and lost lots of money. Very unprofessional company that makes promises and or commitments they do not honor. Customer service didn't do anything but issue original money back in 2-4 weeks. "

"My dad hired this company ,and they did a awesome job, ON AUG 16TH -2019.The 100 foot tree was cut down like 60 foot.Cut tree limbs off road too n cut a stump shorter ,also they clean up everything too,and stack the wood ..I would recommend this company there price was so reasonable,also very nice people .I would hire them again,when we need more work,Remember the company name is CABRERA'S TREE SERVICE INC!! You wont be disappointed!!

"We were informed of all items needing to be addressed about our roof. Never were we left wondering, so we need this complete roof done or is a quick fix going to be sufficient. Pictures were taken and the amount of time given us to ask questions and have our answers given to us thoroughly and with total understanding. The crew came. Talk about professionalism and excellence. They displayed this for the entire time they were here. WHAT A CREW!!!Were we satisfied?? TREMENDOUSLY. "This whole thing is a scam! This place stole $1000 from me. Saw I was desperate, being out of work and with a family to support. Every text that I got, they would automatically **** money out if my account. The worst part is that i would call and the home owners would say to stop calling and that they don't need anything from me. Its like they get the numbers from some random place and hand them out. Disrespectful to the homeowner and an insult to the customer paying for those so called leads. Upon calling customer service, they proved to be nothing more than a facade. They are from being of service to the caller that has paid. They basically told me to take a hike and that they'd keep much money. Even though I had none to start. Oh, and I'll add how homeowners are lied to. This sad excuse of a company says they do background checks on the laborers. Lies. Upon signing up, they only got my name and bank account. (I guess that's all they needed, right? to start stealing from me.) Never did they get my ssn or even dob. I wonder how many men do business with them without having background checks done. How the hell do they run a background check and tell the customers "this is not a felon" without the information to get it done? Homeowners beware. You think you know who you're letting in your home. But you really don't. Save the trouble and contact other honest companies. Those that do follow through with their promises. To both homeowners and laborers."

"I looked on home advisor for a furniture reupholsterer, they had one firm & I filled out the request form, several days later receive a “local” masked call from offshore representing home advisor & soliciting any vendors they can find... crazy"

"I signed up for Home Advisor to help get my brand new business off the ground and build my customer base. Absolutely HORRIBLE DECISION. From day 1, I started having problems with them. The salesman that got me to sign up lied about several different policies that they had and I found out much later. They sent me alot of leads, but the vast majority were BS. People don't answer, don't return messages, or say they are no longer looking for someone to do the job (even though the "request" was just put in earlier that day). I had a fictional person contact me on the Home Advisor site and requested an APPOINTMENT with me for a certain date at a certain time. I accepted the appointment and put it on my calendar. I called this person many times with no answer, left multiple messages, and never got a call back or any kind of response whatsoever. Despite all this, I still showed up at this mystery phantoms address at the time he requested. Knock on the door and the homeowner opens up. "No, sorry...we've never heard of this Mr. Black (or whatever the name was). We've lived here for 12 years and have never used Home Advisor for anything..." I requested credit for the scam of a lead they had sent me and charged me $33 for!!!! Guess what they said.......
"Sorry, sir but Home Advisor does not credit for the tenant of a property not being the owner because the tenants frequently contact Home Advisor and request work for their rental property." Absolutely RIDICULOUS. It honestly seems like they offer people money to go onto their site and put in requests so that they can send that request to 10 different Home Advisor contractors and get paid 10 different times. After loads and loads and LOADS of BS leads that I PAID FOR and never even got in contact with the person requesting the work, I ran up a crazy expensive tab with them. Even though I never authorized them to auto debit my bank account, they took my card number that I had used to pay for the start up fee and saved it WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT!!!!! They waited until I had enough money in my account to pay my rent and they auto debited the ridiculously high amount that they say I owed them. I immediately called and try to get this reversed, but they didn't care. I am currently trying to scramble to borrow money so that my rent check doesn't bounce. I am completely out of money and my business is probably going into the toilet because of these ****. For the love of all that is Holy, if you are a young business owner looking to expand, or you are a contractor looking for more work, DO NOT SIGN UP ON HOME ADVISOR. You will get screwed. Find another way."
