"The chair I ordered came with the wrong legs and hardware. In order to correct the issue, I could only email customer service. Then sit and wait for days til I got a response. Again having to wait after further explanation of the problem. I lost a couple of weeks trying to have the correct legs sent to me. Had I been able to communicate via telephone, it could have been corrected way sooner. After ordering the chair October 18th, I am still waiting for the correct legs which are finally scheduled to arrive November 12th. "

"I did not have a good experience. I’ve tried to connect someone customer several times shortly after my order arrived because the chairs where too short. Just got the run around until finally after 2wks I received an email on returning. Only to find out it cost bet restocking and ship back total almost 1/2 the cost of my order. "I placed an order in the beginning of December. A desk, book shelf and filing cabinet were supposed to arrive, but Fed Ex sent us an email stating 1 of the 3 boxes were damaged. We never received the desk. I have been told in 3 different emails that I would receive a refund for the desk, and that it would be processed. Today, I received an email stating that they can’t refund me, and they want the cabinet and shelf back?! Umm- they owe me a desk! You can’t get a hold of anyone and they don’t fully read their emails. This is going on over a month, with no solution. Place is AWFUL "

"The cabinets are good and sturdy as I had expected. They arrived on time too. They lost a star for assembly. My husband is very good at assembling many different items, but the drawers gave him trouble. The instructions need fine tuning. "

"I found a perfect king bed on their site so I ordered it.

After several days I wanted to get a delivery estimate only to find out that one wasn't available for my order. I tried calling several times but there is no apparent way to speak to a human on the phone.

It turns out that the manufacturer had discontinued this item but they couldn't be bothered to tell me this, even after going through their customer support procedure of sending an email and hoping someone responds. I was able to cancel my order, but the charge went from 'pending' to 'current' - they charged my credit card the full amount when I cancelled the order. Their literature says 7-10 days to get a refund. I have opened a dispute with my credit card company, hopefully this can be accelerated."

"I placed an order on 12/15, got an email stating the bed should be delivered by 12/26. It’s 1/1 and no bed, the tracking notice says “in process” and the two emails I have sent have gotten no response. There is no customer service number except to place orders, but I guess I will try finding a human there tomorrow after the holiday. I am very disappointed. "

"I bought a Bowery Hill granite top kitchen cart. The order was processed and delivered quickly and accurately. The cart arrived in good condition.

No fault of Homesquare but the product had an unpleasant rubber order that was so strong I left it unassembled in the garage overnight to let it off gas. The smell is much better after 3 weeks, but I can still smell it if I leave the doors shut. The cart also was supposed to be 28 and 1/4 wide, but with the towel bars installed it is just less than 31 and 1/4 inches wide. Otherwise the cart is solid and should serve me well.

Homesquare gets 5 stars. Bowery Hill only gets 2.5"

"The snow leopard stool was more than what I expected. The stool is made very well and easy to put together. The color and comfort of the stool is fabulous. The wheels glide smoothly and it is a perfect accent for my makeup table. I have hardwood floors and the wheels do not dent the wood so no need to purchase a little rug for under the chair."
