"I purchased a two piece china buffet cabinet and the bottom base board part of the top cabinet is bent. The middle curves down and the sides curve up making the cabinet unstable and slides with minimal force. I tried to contact HGS and they originally said the “manufacturer” offered me $150 reimbursement for the damage which I thought was insulting considering I paid almost $2000 for the product and now it looks terrible and is unsafe. After going back and forth they said they ordered a replacement and covered all shipping costs and let me know when it will be shipped out. Then a few days later I get an email from the account manager saying I will have to pay $399 shipping plus any extra charges. Now I’ll have to pay an extra $400+ on top of the original amount to get a good quality product. Overall process and transaction has been terrible. Don’t waste your time and go somewhere else that stands behind their products and cares about customer satisfaction."
"I purchased a bookcase from Home Gallery Stores last month as a present for my son. He was very happy with the purchase and a couple weeks later decided he'd like to have a second. He didn't know where I purchased it from so he looked online and ended up finding it on Amazon for 154.00 less than the price I'd paid.
Their website boasts a "Best Price Guarantee" and on their FAQ page it states they will refund the difference if you find it for less within 30 days of your purchase, at an online retailer, full price, same product sku, and same delivery options. I met all of these requirements.
I called with the intention of purchasing the second from the company if they would honor the price on Amazon and credit the difference on the first. This way they would receive the second order. I was met with hostility and was told repeatedly by their call center staff that they do not honor a price match and that the company does not do that. They argued with me that it was even on their site which I have a screen shot to show otherwise. I was hung up on when I explained exactly where to look on the website. When I called back I was told that this may be on the website but it is not a part of the "Terms and Conditions" that I agreed to. Their terms and conditions do not state anything about this one way or another. I was disconnected again.
I called a third time and was told the same thing so I asked to speak with a supervisor which they refused but I was told I could send them an email with screen shots of what I'd found clearly on their website, along with a screen shot of the item on Amazon showing the sku and difference in price. I asked for the email and was told they'd send me an email that I could respond to and hung up again. I called back and asked to stay on the line while they emailed me so that I could respond. I was told they'd reach back to me in 24/48 hours.
I emailed all the information, screen shots and links to everything. I received an email back the next day saying the bookcase was no longer in stock with the manufacturer. I had no intentions at this point to purchase a second from Home Gallery Stores at this point and I had already purchased the second bookcase at Amazon. I sent them a copy of the receipt and stated that apparently Amazon was capable of getting one to me and that I expected my request for a refund on the difference of my purchase as stated on their site.
I got an email the next day saying "Per upper management, they have decided to refund you the difference in price". Of course they did because otherwise this is false advertising.
To me it appeared obvious that they have their call center employees fight this whenever anyone calls for a price match. A lot of people would walk away, especially if it is only 50 or 100 dollars. I didn't.
The disrespect I received and dishonesty I received in regards to this matter made me feel obligated to write this review and give them one star. I'd also suggest asking them whether or not they will honor what their site states if you purchase from them, if their price guarantee remains on the site. "

"I ordered two side tables to be shipped to a different address then billing. I was expecting it in a week; I was surprised when I got notice the next day that it was being shipped. I realized the shipping address was incorrect. I tried to remedy this, but they said I had to call Fed Ex. I called Fed Ex and they said the seller had to make the change. I called back and they said they were working on it.
The next morning I got a call saying, sorry, it shipped.
The end tables arrived and one was damaged. As it was fully assembled, I'd need a new piece. The item needs to be shipped four hours away, so insted of that, I requested a refund.
The person that answered the phone was obnoxious and rude. She kept talking over me and accusing me of talking over her. Everytime I opened my mouth, she would jump in and accuse me of not listening to her.
She accused me of damaging the item as I didn't like where they shipped it! I have pictures, but she wouldn't give me info on how to get that to her. When I asked for a supervisor, she refused multiple times as she didn't get to give me her spiel.
I currently have two items four hours away from where they belong. I will have to pay to ship them to the correct address and they refuse to replace the broken item.
Never again! "
"Called Home Gallery Stores to make sure furniture products were in stock on their website and was assured the product was in before I placed order, place order to purchase items, 10 hours later received email that order was canceled with no explanation. Called home gallery stores for a explanation for cancelation, was told the furniture product ordered is not in stock with the manufacturer.
This was a waste of my time with this company, I will not be making any further purchases with Home Gallery Stores."
