"Seems my item (an on-demand propane water heater was on back-order for 3 to 4 weeks indefinitely, which is to say that 5 weeks after I ordered it it was still 3 to 4 weeks back-ordered. Needless to say they billed me at the outset. They did not respond to my inquiries. Customer service sucked. They did refund me promptly. I would give no stars if it were an option. Avoid these people."

"The pictures will not be true to the items you are wishing to purchase and there will be an exorbidant return fee and a very long runaround period with the company.

We had ordered an item, and when we received it, it looked nothing like it did online.

When we went online to inspect the difference between the differing images on the website, I discovered that the same exact image was used for both so there is no way we could’ve known the difference between the two. When I spoke to a sales representative about this and my desire to return it, he told me that “it’s on the consumer to go out to a showroom and look at it in person themselves, and Home Perfect has nothing to do with the images placed on the website.” He was also incredibly rude to me on the phone. I expressed this to him on the phone and he told me that he was a New York guy and that he wasn’t going to sugarcoat anything for me. He also informed me that there was absolutely nobody else for me to talk to that would be of any help.

This incredibly difficult and rude customer service experience will definitely deter me and our design firm from ever using Home Perfect again.

"This company is either a scam, or one of the most unorganized and unethical businesses on the web. From the time the order was placed (three months ago) I received the same story that the manufacturer was about to ship. I couldn't get anyone there to track the item or call me back. They had a great price on the item, which should've been my first clue. They suck you in, then draw interest from your money until you're so sick of waiting that you cancel the order. (I was notified of a full credit upon cancellation, but they had my money for three months.) Throughout the time the order was "processing" I was in communication with the manufacturer who verified stock was good. If their price is too good to be true...it probably is."

"I worked with Christy Landry to order fixtures for my bathroom remodel. She was very helpful, the products arrived on time and she kept me updated on the status along the way. The prices were good and I had a very positive experience.

This was my first purchase from HomePerfect and I was initially hesitant, due to some of the mixed reviews I found online. They had the best price on the items I needed, so I ordered and was pleasantly surprised.

Overall, everything I could hope for in an online purchase and I would order again

"Home Perfect was fabulous! We received our new sink quickly and at a great price. Their wonderful customer service department took care of our minor issues quickly and with a friendly attitude. "WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER FROM ANY COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH!
Attempted to exchange and item several times. Every time I called in I was put on hold for at least 20 minutes. Strung me along for a month and then told me it was past the 30 day return policy. Horribly run company that I can't believe is still in business

"My first buying experience with Home Perfect was absolutely 'perfect'! This was mainly due to my Sales Representative, Dave Schlesinger. Dave was very attentive from the start to finish of my order. His communication skills were exceptional & his customer service was stellar. Whether it was via a personal phone call or numerous emails - it was evident that Dave cared about taking care of me & my ordering needs. When the product was delayed due to the recent hurricane - Dave went out of his way to make sure that I received my product as soon as possible. He definitely went above & beyond to make this first-time customer happy! AAA+++"

"Order placed on 7/21/12.
Credit Card immediatley charged for full amount(most other companies charge card upon item shipment)

Most items arrived without issue. However one item continues to be on back order for what i'm told is "1-2 weeks" every week. It's now been 5 months. It has been extremely difficult to follow up with customer service.

And yes, I'm still waiting on the outstanding item, but I have hope. I was told it was on back order for 1-2 weeks!!

"Purchased a sink, they charged my card but never sent the sink. Every time I called they said it would ship next week, never shipped, took 4 days to get a refund on an item that I never received, very poor customer service, frustrating experience would never purchase again! "

"This has to be one of the worst run companies I have dealt with. I would never order from them again. After two weeks they still had not shipping the item I ordered. It took six calls and being left on hold for 15 minutes (when I gave up) most of those calls. Now three days later they still can not confirm that the order has been cancelled. And the staff will not let you speak to a manager. Do not use this company if you're looking for quality service.

Update 12-18-2012: I have received a refund and was content to forget about this entirely. But after seeing their response I have to say it sounds like fiction. I was told the entire time they did have the item in stock. In fact they had two. They also stated that their warehouse was not hit by the storm but it had caused the delays. The sink was unlikely to be damaged by the storm as water would only hurt the box. So they continue to tell stories.

"I would not give my business to this company! I ordered several items from them (>$2000) for a major home renovation. When my plumber went to install the faucets in my bathrooms, he noticed that there were no handles included. We spent 30 minutes scouring the house for boxes that might have the faucets tucked away in them. When I looked back at the faucet on their website, there was no link to separate handles or any obvious mention that handles weren't included.

When I got in touch with someone at Home Perfect, he acknowledged that their website is unsophisticated and one should always call before ordering on-line. He pointed out that in the details section it did say "less handles." What is actually there is a line that all in one sentence says "Less Handles WaterSense Labeled California and Vermont Compliant." I guess I was supposed to know that that meant that the handles were sold separately.

He said he would ship me out the handles, but then he informed me that because my order for the handles was less than $99 he would have to charge me shipping. Seriously? I would have obviously purchased the handles in my original order that well exceeded $99 if it had been even remotely apparent that handles weren't included. I will take my business elsewhere.

"First of all the phone sales staff is on commission, this became obvious to me because I spoke with a sales rep. about a potential order and was told by that person to call back and ask for them if I decided to place the order later, I asked for her extension but was told they had a small sales staff and that any one of them would forward the call to her if I asked for her. Ok so I tried to do that and the rep. on the second call told me she couldn’t do it when I did call back a couple of days later. So I decided to place the order with that rep. I gave here my information over the phone and the confirmation E mail sent to me had the wrong address, it was close but over the phone I could see how it was missed understood as something else. No big deal, the order wasn’t in stock 2-3 weeks out so it wasn’t going to ship right away so I sent back an email with the correct address and asked to have it updated, I received another email showing the correct address very quickly.

I then decided to order another item and placed the order with the rep. I placed the first order with. This item was in stock so I expected it to ship out on the next business day. When I spoke with the rep. I also asked for shipping status on the first order since it had been 2 ½ weeks since I placed it. She said due to the hour she could not get status at that time and would email me the next working day and let me know what the status was. So the confirmation for this comes and the address is the same incorrect address as the first order, it had never been updated for my account from the first order. I quickly sent an Email to the rep. and the customer service department requesting it be updated, I did both because I was concerned if it shipped and was sent to the wrong address they might try to hold me responsible (see shipping, and returns policy on their website, would you be concerned?). So the following business day I have not received anything from the rep. or the customer service department about the 1st order or second order (note: I live on the West Coast and they are on the East, when I am home at 4pm I should have received something by then).

So I thought I would try to call when I was home from work. I call and got a sales rep. a woman again and I asked who I was speaking to (thinking it might be my rep.) they hung up on me right away. I think they must have known it wasn’t for a sale and decided they didn’t want to deal with it. So I call again this time I tell them that I have a previous order and what the issue is and he says I need to talk with the rep. I placed the order with. I told him I tried to contact them twice and have not heard back (the first time was placing the second order and asking for status on the first and then in the email trying to correct the mailing address). He said it was one of the busiest days of the year and that he had customers on and waiting to place orders and that I would need to talk with the original rep. When I explained my concern about the shipping address he said that Court East vs. NE was something he thought the shipper would be able to figure out. I explained I didn’t want to be responsible if the package was misrouted, he told me not to worry again.

So now frustration is starting to set in so I asked who the first rep. would report to and he said it was him, “he was the caller manager”. OK wow, so I ask if he could contact my sales rep. and let her know I need to speak with her and he said no he didn’t want to, to busy making sales I guess.

I don’t know if this is typical or atypical but one thing is for sure I won’t be seeing this review posted on the front of their website as a testimonial. If I know who the call manager reported to I would talk to them, but maybe I would get the same already have the sale attitude, who knows!
