"I booked a room online for the first time and the system "glitched" changing the date I chose to the date I was online making the reservation...of course you wouldn't know this until you get a confirmation. They refuse to refund me initally but in the end I worked with the right person and was refunded the full amount. Customer service recieves 5 stars in the end!!"

Refunds normally take between 3 - 7 business days for the funds to be allocated back to your account. "I made a mistake and booked on the wrong date on line. I called 3 minutes after i booked the reservation on line and they were not willing to change the reservation without a fee. They said that they tried to call the hotel twice to change the reservation without a fee and they could not get a hold of anyone. My wife called the hotel while I was on the line with them and got right through. I told them who to call at the hotel and she called and they were able to change the reservation without a problem. This was extremely inconvient and inflexible. I will never use Hotel Planner again."

"I booked a room at the Best Western Dry Creek Inn, Healdsburg, Ca. for a wedding. We decided not to stay the night and I called to cancel the reservation. "I was overcharged by Hotel Planner. LaQuinta in Charleston walk in rate for College of Charleston parents $97 per night. HP charged $190 per night. Called Hotel Planner to credit the difference and they (after speaking to 4 different people 2 of which were managers) said they cannot credit. that's the policy. The manager Mark would not provide his last name. From now on I will always book direct with the hotel."
"I was directed to Hotel Planner for a recent trip to the Philadelphia area. The reservation was a total disappointment.
1. I had asked for a suite or connecting rooms for my wife, me and my granddaughter. The reservation was a single room.
2. I had specified a specific location where there are at least four hotels. The hotel was miles away.
3. I specified two nights; the reservation was for one night.
4. The Hotel Planner cost for the room was $171; the on site room rate was $134.
5. When I arrived at the hotel and tried to correct the situation. The hotel told me that the reservation was made through Expedia. I called Expedia and, after a 15 minute hold, was directed to the Hotel Planner automated customer service line. The computerized voice told me to change the reservation on line and cut me off.
I realize that the problem was partially my fault for not reading the confirming email reservation closely. However, I never expected that a reservation could be so completely messed up and did not check."
