"One word comes to mind when I think about my dealings with Hypersonic. Fantastic. Ordered a Sonic Boom system. It Arrived on the day they said it would. Had it up and running in about 15 Minutes. I have to say Hypersonic builds a rock solid system (Hardware and Software). It is by far the most stable install of Windows XP Home I have encountered to date. The best surprise was a total lack of garbage software that was installed. Just what was necessary, nothing more. Using this PC for both business and gaming. Excels at both.

I received a great price on a great machine and would give a hearty recommendation to anyone considering giving Hypersonic a try. Have previously owned Dell, HP, Compaq, and Alienware machines. None were built as solidly and with as much care as this Hypersonic machine. I can't say much about customer service because after 13 straight days of constant work this syterm hasn't had as much as a hiccup. The sales team was courteous and answered all my questions in a timely manner. Again, congrats to Hypersonic. They gave me the first pleasurable PC buying experience in a very long time.

"Amazing!!! I am the Information Technology director of a private school on Long Island and this is our first time doing business with Hypersonic. It certainly will not be the last. We just received our first Aviator GL (for use by the principal) and we absolutely love it. It has everything we need and the price was very fair. It arrived well packaged and ahead of schedule. I have read about the delays in shipping recently but it looks like they are catching up. I had a few questions before and after we bought the laptop and their technical support was great. They are professionals and they answered all of my questions in complete detail. This notebook is very fast for the applications that we use and it looks great too. We are very pleased."

"I ordered a Hercules Game Theater XP sound card, which Hypersonic's website showed as being in stock. After a small problem with my billing address (not Hypersonic's fault), I was told the card would "may ship out Friday, but we close early on Fridays... so if it doesn't, it'll ship on Monday." Fair enough. Monday, I get no shipping notice. Wednesday, the product hasn't arrived.

So I call, and they tell me the item was out of stock, but it's shipping that night. I'll again take them at their word. Having paid for 2-day shipping, it hasn't arrived by following Monday, and I have no tracking number, so I call again (bear in mind their secure website, for tracking orders, didn't function for three or four days.) I was hung up on once, and called again. Now it looks like it "shipped out last Friday," and it should arrive tomorrow. Here it is tomorrow (Tuesday), and, at nearly 6pm eastern time, I have a shipping confirmation.

I won't be ordering from Hypersonic again; if it's out of stock, just tell me. If it's delayed for some reason, tell me. Just don't jerk me around, which is exactly what went on here.

"bad part first. It took seven weeks to get my aviator. i don't mind that long, i was told it would only take three weeks at fist, then one more week, then a few days, and so on. Once the order shipped I recieved a tracking number that didn't work with any tracking system, so I had to blindly wait for the computer to arrive. so if you need a computer fast I would not recomend this company.
The good points are these, the aviator is great, it's fast and is working flawlessly. their customer service was curtious, But not always helpfull(don't say a few days,when it's really a few weeks) when I called them for updates on my order. If you want a fast machine and have time to wait this company is great.

"I wanted to get a great custom system at a reasonable price. So, I called a few companies and got some quotes. Hypersonic wasn't the cheapest BUT it definitely was by far the best system for my dollar. Even when I was getting the quotes, the salesguy that I talked to at Hypersonic was the most friendly and knowledgeable of all the ones I talked to. Anyway, I got my computer (a day early!!), and I went to set it up. I had a question, so I called Hypersonic to get some help. I got thru right away, and the tech guy I talked to was great-he walked me thru the set up and got me up and running in no time. They even gave me a follow-up phonecall a few days later to make sure that everything was going smoothly (which it is). This is a fantastic computer from an excellent company with a very professional staff. Definitely a "10!" "

"I purchased a laptop from Hypersonic based on ratings on this site. I was willing to look past the complaints about shipping because I thought I would get a good PC, and good service. However, the shipping was a very big pain. If you need a system fast, or even have a project next month that you think you'll use it for, I wouldn't go with Hypersonic. I ordered a month ahead of my project start time, and wound up doing some of my 3D work for it on a very old, very lame system until the laptop arrived.

That being said, if you can wait for a PC, these guys are good. My PC is running very well, is faster than anything here at the office, and is fantastic for the work that I do. I'm very happy with the system. Hypersonic has followed up a few times now on various aspects. They will likely help me add an extra hard drive in a few weeks when it becomes available.

Overall, I'm satisfied. Once the idea that it took so long to get the PC fades from memory, I'm sure I'll only think nice thoughts when I think of Hypersonic.

"I have not yet received my computer, but I'm sure that when I do it will be wonderful. It's not hard to put together a computer, so when choosing a company, I'm looking for the extras--in this case, the small-form factor and Hypersonic's slick paint jobs.

However, I am extremely displeased with my Hypersonic experience and would not recommend the company to others. I placed an order on Jan. 29, and Hypersonic informed me that it would ship on Feb. 16. I was happy to hear that, but by Feb. 19, no computer had shipped so I decided to give them a call. I was told that the paint facility had been closed because of the winter storms, and that is certainly reasonable. The saleswomen explained my computer would arrive early next week at the latest. Alas, early next week, it did not show up. Keep in mind that they have already deposited my check weeks ago.

On Wednesday of the next week, I call again, and this time I am again told of the "4 day paint delay" caused by weather as well as "heat issues" with the Radeon video card. I tell him that I need the computer for a LAN party this weekend, and he says he will try to upgrade the shipping to get it there.

Of course, by Friday, it hasn't even shipped yet. I called again today (Monday), and am now told the computer will ship TOMORROW! They blamed bad spray nozzles delayed the paint process. Well that's a new one. This company advertised 18-day build times, and now it has been over 30! The four-day paint shop closing should only delay shipment 4 days--not two weeks. And the "nozzle" problem is clearly their fault, and even now they refuse to upgrade my shipping to compensate for the 2 week delay and $200 price drop.

I heard great stories about the customer service at Hypersonic, so I really expected more when my order became so badly delayed. Toss in a mouse pad, offer free shipping or at least UPGRADE the shipping! While the staff was never outright rude, they have obviously been dishonest and have made no attempts to remedy the problem. It is disgusting when you pay $2500+ for a computer and then you are treated so poorly. I'm still considering canceling the order and getting my money back, because Hypersonic hasn't done anything to earn it.

"Fast, Reliable, Best customer service, Well configured Windows. These are best words to describe Hypersonic. I Purchase 2800+, GeForce4 TI 4600, 512MB XMS, WD 80GB JB, PlexWriter 48x24x48x, Audigy 1394. everything works fine, until now, I didn't encounter any crash, unstable. I tried lots high-end system with my friends, such as, alienware, Voodoo, Falcon Northwest systems, and I believe Hypersonic can be called high-end system too, since it is well crafted and configured. It also proved that inexpensive doesn't equal bad quality.

Shipping is the only thing that I want to complain about, it takes almost 1 month, also some phone call to their custom service.

I give 9.5 out of 10 for this system, if the shipping can be faster, this computer will be a perfect score.

"HYPERSONIC PC is one of the few companies that I can honestly say " I am impressed " with their product. My only real gripe is their * After Hours and Weekend support *..... it leaves a lot to be desired. If you encounter a problem.....try calling during normal business hours. "Ordered Sonic Aviator Laptop in the "Reflexxion Series Piercing Metallic Blue". I cannot rave enough about it. It is everything I expected and more. This baby is faaast and gorgeous. Sometimes I find myself just staring at it!. It has been rock-solid stable since day 1. I called tech support once just to ask about a pc card compatibility. They picked up on the 2nd ring and gave me very helpful advice. I won't hesitate to recommend this company to my friends."

"Where do I start...First my shipping took forever probably because I was getting the p4 3.06ghz. It finally came and it was one kick ass system. They also sent me a wingman joystick to make me feel better for the late shipping. About 2 weeks after receiving the system a DIMM failed. Tech support was nice but you can only talk with them during business hours. After hours your forced to use there outsourced support. I called that and waited 2 hours for someone to call me back. I ended up finding the problem myself and not picking up the phone. So it's a little frustrating but I can deal with it."

"Ordered on Nov. 6 2002 and system shipped on Dec. 6 2002. My previous system was smoke damaged in an apartment fire and I did not have the time because of graduate school to build my own, so I went with Hypersonic whom I had heard many good things about.

Problems: Shipping was a definite pain. I had originally marked my system as "hold for pickup" because I would not have been home when it would have arrived. Then there were delays and I was able to be home, so I had them remove it. Hypersonic somewhere screwed up and didn't remove it properly, as I waited all day for UPS to show up on the designated day only to find out 15 minutes before the shipping center closed that it was being held. So when I go get it the next morning I find that my monitor has shipped separately, leaving me with a $1800 paper weight for 2 days. This did not make me happy, especially since I had been without a PC for over a month at this point. Only other "bad" point is that the system is slightly loud due to 8+ fans.

The Good: The system is amazing. System shipped "clean" without the usual variety of third party software that other manufacturers will install. Speed is amazing, I can run UT2003 with all details set to high with no slowdown whatsoever. The OS is the most stable install of XP Pro I've seen; computer has been up for over a week at a time without a restart. The interior case design (with the optional rounded cables) is one of the best I've ever seen; airflow is absolutely great.

Bottom Line: If you're looking for the absolute best gaming machine at reasonable prices, Hypersonic PC cannot be beat. Performance is just as good as a Falcon, Voodoo, or Alienware PC, but at half the price. The only thing to watch for is the shipping. I would not recommend Hypersonic for someone who needs a new PC right away. But as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait.

"This is my second upgrade with Hypersonic. I bought my first machine with them in 2000. Since then I've upgrade the MOBO once and the CPU twice. Their tech people are responsive and responsible. Paul is an Ace. I've recommended them to my colleagues at the office and to my friend that are in to computers. They consistently test "excellent" in all the published test I've read. They go the extra mile for their customers."
