"BEWARE OF THIS STORE. They shipped me a 'new dell xps400' with the front panel GLUED TOGETHER. This is a 'new system'......Don't buy from them. Numerous complaints go totally ignored. Phone support is non-existant. They only want to sell. After numberous complaints, I finally email everyone on thier web page I could find and they "supprised me," CALLED my house. Said they would send me a 'used' front panel for my system. Told them NO. It was supposed to be a new system and new is all I would accept. So they 'said' they had to order a new one since all they had were used. So now am waiting to see if this will occurr as they said it would take 2 weeks. While the system price was good and time of delivers was ok, I will not buy from this company again. I consider myself lucky to have a system that works and only seems to have a cosmetic flaw. Of course I have no true Idea if the system is refurbished or not as with computer components its hard to tell.
The computer arrived in a DELL box, that had been opened by Infinity to (I assume), build it to my specifications. Why they wouldn't order it fm Dell that way I don't know. They have have a standard order type and then have to build it with what the customer says they want in it. In any event, will see if I get my part and shop elsewhere as customer service shouldn't be this difficult."
"I ordered a barebones system from them, it didn't work, I sent it back. It took 5 wks for them to reimburse by credit card. During this time they never answered their telephone, they never returned msgs left on their answering machine, they never replied to emails. I was left completely in the dark as to the status of my refund. I finally reached someone on the phone after 5 wks and they said they would refund my card but they charged me a 15% restocking fee, even though they sent me defective hardware.
W/o a doubt the worst online buying experience I've ever had.
Beware of this company!"
"This was the first and last time that I ever order from these guys. I bought a custom built PC from them. 1gb ram, ncie processor the works, so that i could play some games and get some of my programming and stuff done too. However here is what followed.
I originally placed my order on September 30th 2005. I awaited the arrival of my new computer with anticipation of how great it was going to be. Unfortunately all I got was a handful of problems. When I received the computer I immediately tried to install the Windows XP Professional OS. Unfortunately half way through the install the computer would blue screen on. I than called and spoke to Brad at customer service, who informed me that he believes the RAM was bad in my machine. He had me download a program from memtest.org and run it. I got home that evening and ran the program only to find out it wasn't the RAM. I called Brad and informed him of this and he said I could ship the computer back to him and you would ship me out a new one. At this time, I decided it would probably just be best for me to get a refund, so brad informed me of what i needed to do and I did it. I shipped the computer back to your office on October 19th 2005 and it arrived October 26th 2005(late due to Hurricane Katrina shutting down UPS Offices).
On nov1 I called to confirm your receipt of the computer and confirm that I would receive a refund. The person I spoke to didn't believe that i had even shipped the item to you. I had to provide him the UPS Tracking number before he would believe me. He only believed me when he checked who had signed for it. After that he informed me that the refund would be processed by the end of the week(11/05/05). On November 7th I called back to check the status and I was informed the refund had be processed on Nov4th and I should be seeing it on my account shortly.
On 11/08/05 I received my refund 100$ short of what I paid. There agreement states that I will only be charged 10% for a restocking fee(79.30$) but I was charged 100$ instead. So I called customer service again only to be told I had to speak with Accounting who was unavailable at this time, and that Accounting would call me back.
On 11/09/05 I called back because accounting hadn't called me back yet. I spoke with accounting and was told that there is a 100$ restocking fee. After informing the representative how upset I was with this, he offered to fix my computer that I sent to them, refund my shipping(40$ of the 80$) that I had paid to ship the computer back to you, and also load windows xp on the computer before shipping it to make sure that the computer worked 100%. I agreed to this as it was the only way to get the majority of my money back
On 11/21/05 I received the computer but did not have time to fool with it due to my work schedule until that weekend(11/26/05). When I turned the computer on I found that it did not have windows xp loaded on it. So I tried to load the OS myself only to receive the same problem as last time.
On 11/29/2005 I called there customer service line and was told that since 30 days has past since the order was placed that I could not return the computer for a refund and that was that.
I personally am a very upset customer. This is rediculious to send me two computers that don't work and than also not allow me to get my refund. NEVER EVER buy from these people. Besides the long hold times, and never returning phone calls, or web inquires via there contact forms, they give you products that don't work. I'm a very upset customer who is out 793$"
"I have to agree with some of the other comments - the pricewatch rating does not reflect the customer service of this company. I placed an order on friday, 11/18/05 and my credit card wasn't charged ever (which is a good thing), and I just received a confirmation of order email. On 11/23/05 I called to find out where my order was and they told me it would not ship until next monday, since they were out of stock! Why wasn't I notified of the item being out of stock? Also, I had to call twice to cancel! The first time I called, I was redirected to a non-working extension. I have canceled the order...and will continue to buy from Newegg exclusively!"
"So far, I'm not happy. It took them almost a week after I placed my order to ship the motherboard/CPU combo I ordered. However, I reasoned that perhaps they were out of stock (their web site doesn't give a stock count) or were backlogged.
When I finally received the package 13 days after the order date, it arrived in a beat-up box. At first, I wondered what the heck had happened, but upon opening it, I discovered that it had been re-used. Since I'm a fan of recycling, I was amused by this and actually gave them credit for recycling (the box wasn't so beat up as to be dangerous to its contents).
However, when I pulled the motherboard box out, I was appalled to discover it was not what I had ordered. Okay, maybe they just stuck it in another box, you know, like the recycling. Nope. Inside was what was advertised on the outside of the box, and not what I had ordered.
I immediately sent an email and gave them 36 hours to respond, which they did not. I then called them, and talked to someone who eventually agreed that they would replace the board if I sent it back (though they did ask if I wanted to just keep it, since it was almost the same as what I had ordered). I agreed I'd send it back, but I would expect to receive a refund for the shipping costs, since this was not my error for the return.
They will receive the board on the 23rd of November, at which point I am to fax my UPS receipt for the refund for shipping.
[Edit: I finally got the proper parts, which work fine. However, it was something of a surprise because they never contacted me when they shipped the replacement. I called one day to find out the status, only to be told that the shipment was scheduled to arrive that same day! (which it did.)
I have not been credited for the return shipping costs I incurred. I've decided I'm just going to let it go, because it's such a pain to deal with customer service here, so my final cost is $15 more than originally planned for.]"
"It amazes me how these guys can stay in business. They are nothing but scum artists. They have stolen over $275. from me a while back and it cannot be gotten back. The BBB does nothing either, don't bother with them. Also Pricewatch is in bed with these guys and other rip off artists. Pricewatch changes the reviews for the bad guys. I saw it in front of my eyes. I took screen shots of the changes. Pricewatch has had so much negative talk about themselves on their message board they had to take the message board down. Go look.
So don't trust Infinity systems plus or Pricewatch. "
"Bought barebones system which they then swapped hard drive, saying one in sale price not in stock, and charged me more for..then no power on unit, and will not answer emails or phone calls..currently disputing charge with my credit co..next time i will stay away.. "
"First of all, I would like to warn all interested buyers not to be tempted by this company's low prices because that is all that it has.
Their customer service is almost none existent and I doubt any of their guarantees actually hold true.
The frustration began when I first ordered my computer. They overshot their delivery guarantee by 2 weeks and it didn't arrive untill i threatened to have my credit card company cancel the payment.
As if I was not ticked at them enough, the video card which they sent me was defective and malfunctioned shortly. I then contacted their customer service and was told to send in the card along with a copy of my invoice which I luckily decided to print out, or else I would have been screwed right there as they did not email it nor include when they shipped me my computer.
It has been months now since I shipped in the video card and received no replacement. At first, I was assured by a yes, we have shipped it out, but the video card never came, time and time again. By now, it has escalated to the point where it seems that their whole customer service knows who I am and my situation along with a certain department manager of their's, a Mr Alex who has gone as far as to lie and now, avoid me.
Just a few days ago, I called and spoke directly to him. He assured me that he personally saw to it that he shipped out my video card and that I could call back the next day for the UPS # and he would definitely be there. AND LORD BEHOLD!!! He is now either "Not in today" or he has "Stepped out of his office". When I spoke to the other customer service employees regarding this, they must have rehearsed this very well since all they could say was the video card has been shipped out. When I asked them for proof or a tracking #, their ingenious and reassuring response was a simple " Uhhh I don't know." When I kept pushing them for an answer or some kind of resulst, they even had the audacity to HANG UP ON ME! THEIR CUSTOMER!!
So by now, I am furious by the fake promises of this company and the incompetent people which they hire. I figure I would sooner drop dead than ever get a replacement video card but I will keep trying.
For those who are seeking to buy an efficient computer or more or less, a working one and be satisfied. I recommend you stay VERY VERY VERY far away from this company. You would sooner get one from a donkey's ass than receive one from these guys. "
"My whole ordeal with PCInfinity systems is an uncomfortable memory to recall. I ordered a high-end computer that would be suitable for playing the current generation of computer games with ease. The price was unbeatable and the specs were tempting. I was comforted by their supposed "exhaustive" quality testing.
From order to receipt, everything went very smoothly. When I received the computer, I was very excited to get right into the games. Although I quickly discovered that after a few minutes (and up to a half hour) of intense play, the computer would power off, without warning. I spent hours at a time on the phone with their tech support and the conclusion we arrived at was that the computer had something defective in it.
So I send it back to them, they turn it around, I pop it out of the box, and boom. Similar problem. More time on tech support, same conclusion. I send it back, they "fix it," and send it back to me. Same problem. I try a format to see if there was a software conflict, but they had somehow locked out a format (although I'm not sure how).
I call tech support again and they want me to send it back to them. By this time, all I want is for them to take their computer back. They give me a runaround that they can't do that, so I begin working my way up the chain. Long story short (too late), I end up in a screaming match with the VP of the company. I talked him up from "return with 20% refund" to "return with 80% refund" in no less than an hour.
I was happy to get the computer off my hands. All things considered, I would never order from them again, nor would I recommend anyone else order from them."
"My order was shipped by UPS and did not require a signature. It was stolen from my front door. UPS would only deal with Infinity Systems Plus. Infinity Systems Plus have said that they have placed a claim, but it is now 8 months, I have called them over ten times and still I have not been credited. They say that they are still working on it!"
"This is by far the worst experience of online ordering in my life. I order a 3.2ghz or so system w/1ghz and the works, what I was SENT was a computer that doesnt work. I returned it, 3 wks later i recieve another one that STILL doesnt work. I ship it back for refund, keeping in mind the money to ship back for the first messed up system was to be "reimbursed". The 2nd time though, their policy says i will not be refunded ($50). SO... a month later i get my refund, but no reimbursment. I gave them another week or 2 and called them for it. They said next week I'll get it, and now its a month later and nothing. So I lost $100 in shipping and a lot of hassle. They stole the money from me, gave me malfunctioning parts, and never call or email about it. As you can see from all these ratings, this company is horrible. Dont order from here, let this company die out so a better one can replace it. Do the community a favor everyone."
"Ordered m/b-cpu/ram on 4/1/05. Received Automatic confirmation email straight away as well as Paypal account debited $256.32. It is now 4/9/05 and after emailing and submitting form on web site have not heard anything back from this business re a shipping number. Customer service is non existant and I wish I had read up on their performance on this site before I ordered. If I dont hear anything by the 15th of April I will have Paypal cancel the payment and get my money back. Good luck to anyone else ordering parts from this company.
Update 4/11/05: 10:00am. Received email back from ****@****(supposed to be the owner according to whoami). I included in my email the original order confirmation and received back the following "Hello, Thank you for ordering.
How can I help you.". I replied back "You can help me by shipping my order and letting me know what the tracking number is. Thank you for the reply. So there you go. I wont hold my breath.
Update 4/17/05: Rec the items on 4/12. Packing leaves a lot to be desired and there seemed to be missing cables /parts from the MB box. Assembled MB and guess what? Lo and behold a bad ram chip!!. Contacted them by email 4/13 and rec a rma # on 4/14. Sent defective ram back via ups($6) and emailed (nick) saying "seeing as the ram was DOA I was assuming my mailing costs would be reimbursed. Have not heard any more.
Update 4/19/05. Have not heard anything from dealer altho I sent the ram UPS on 4/15/05.
Update 4/26/05: Received replacement ram back and it actually works!! Didnt get any of my mailing $$ back($6). No paperwork just an rma # on the outside of the box. I will never shop this store again no matter what they sell or do for me. Be warned, this store has little customer service skills. Go to NEWEGG.COM
"
"I used to use these folks all the time. Not anymore. If you have problem it is hard to get someone to anwer phone. If they answer they are mostly rude. Prices have gone up. Trick you because they say free shipping but at end of order, check out time there is no place to enter free shipping. You must pay shipping. I have called and Emailed them about this and it does not change. 10% of products are bad straight out of box. But that is same anywhere I buy from. Use some tricks in listings, not always get what you think you gonna get. I stop useing them. Mostly cause prices go up and service go down."
"My experienc wasn't as bad as some others, but I do not like how they function. Their site has no real-time online order status/tracking like most good sites do. All you can do is tell them through a form on their site that you want to receive the UPS tracking number as soon as it becomes available. When I sent them the payment via PayPal, all I could do was sit and wait for it to ship. No order/payment confirmation through their website, all I knew is that they had my money.
When the product (DVD burner) was shipped, it wasn't packaged with foam in a shipping box, it was just the retail packaging without an invoice or paperwork of any kind. Retail packaging isn't meant for shipping, it could have been damaged but so far it seems to work fine.
If I had seen these other reviews prior to making my purchase, I wouldn't have gone with this company, and I never will again."
"I ordered a Motherboard/CPU Combo from www.pcinfinity.net; It also appears that they also operate under the www.oneclickpc.com as well. Check the postal address for both companies. Here is the product description from the WEB site:
CPU AMD ATHLON 64 3400+ Microstar K8T Neo FSR MS-6702-020 Socket 754 VIA K8T800/VT8237 Chipset DDR 5PCI Audio ATX with cpu - AMD ATHLON 64 3400+ with cpu heatsink & fan complete combo kit
There is no mention of OEM or Retail parts in the WEB site description above. I had assumed that all parts were retail, but ended up with some kind of “gray market” CPU.
Here are the problems that I had with the order:
No Invoice sent with order.
The retail CPU box was opened with a razor blade, and the CPU was removed from the box. A CPU with a hand written 3400, was taped to the outside of the box. It appears that the Retail CPU was removed from the box, and an alternate CPU was taped to the outside of the box.
Bait and switch. I received a phone call from an Infinity Systems employee, who stated that the motherboard that I ordered was an OEM unit that was not in stock, and should be in by the end of the week. He said he would ship the order today if I paid an additional $15.00 for the retail motherboard, which of course was in stock. I told him I would wait. When I received my order, I got the retail motherboard after all.
I complained via their WEB site Kudos/Comlaints link, and received a rude response from Nick ****@****
Stay away from this organization!!!"
