"Shipping on the website indicated we would receive the item ONE WEEK before we actually received it. No phone for customer service and days in between email. Return is not an option due to the fact we payed extra for expedited shipping and they are going to charge us 25% for restocking fees.
Instawares sucks!
Before you order maybe try to give them a call.
Do not buy from Instawares!

"Promptly shipped my order for a commercial freezer. Site showed free shipping and I was impressed that this was also honored for a residential customer requiring a lift truck. Saved over $150 by purchasing from Instawares instead of other retailers.

Suspected possible problems reading past reviews, but no issues came up at all. Emailed Instawares after shipment to confirm accessory options and received prompt response. Read past reviews and decided to give them a chance since I could dispute charges if a problem came up.

I would buy from them again.

"Don't use this company! My credit card was charged $73.28 on 2/29/09. As of 4/8/09 have not received the merchandise (a coffee urn). Have sent two e-mails no reply. No phone number to call on the website."

"I did it backwards--ordered first and then found the reviews. So many negatives convinced me I should cancel the order right away. I did so the very next day, but the order had already shipped. Two days later I received a reply to my email informing me it was too late to cancel, but that I could refuse the shipment. The order arrived six days after shipping (includes the weekend). The products, two infant restaurant chairs, were exactly as pictured. How can I complain? Product shipped promptly, just what I ordered, cheaper than anywhere else, customer service responded to my inquiry, plus free shipping."

"The photo of the microwave shelf I ordered was small, but depicted a nice-looking white shelf that might look appropriate in a home kitchen. They shipped it fairly quickly, however the product turned out to be a stamp-cut machine bent chunk of steel that had been lightly coated on only one surface with white paint -- the surface was already scratched. It came with two enormous shiny silver support flanges. No bolts, screws, or instructions. It was not at all suitable.

When I asked for a refund, I was told that I would pay a 25% restocking fee and be responsible for return shipping. The item was $79, and it will likely cost me 25% of that to ship it back, so I'm out fifty bucks.

Instawares may be legally protected, but they have the ethics of street con men.

Buyer beware.

"Two weeks after the expected delivery date, the order had not shipped, so I cancelled it. It has been six weeks since I cancelled the order, and I still do not have a refund. I keep contacting customer service, and they keep telling me it will five more days until the refund is processed. Do not shop here."

"Good prices, reasonable shipping time.
The people in the shipping dept are clueless how to properly package an item. In this case parchment baking paper. The manufacturer's box is not an appropriate shipping box to contain 35#'s of paper. Had they spent the few extra $ to box and pack it appropriately, the loss of $450 in parchment could have been avoided.

1-Box was crushed torn and contents hanging out. UPS pick-up, new item sent.

2-Re-shipment: contents of box lost, empty box returned to shipper.

3- Re-shipment: Box again crushed, torn and contents hanging out of box/un-usable.

The customer service reps are polite and helpful. This was a futile experience and a loss of 24 days in obtaining supplies. At X-mas where others have ramped up baking, alternate sources are out of these parchment papers. PITA.

The service rep stated the credit would be put back on my card. It posted on the 17'th. So other than the shipping issue, my dealings with them were handled smoothly.

"OMG!!! SCAM!!! Do not do business with these criminals!!!!!

Ordered a pretty high priced piece of equipment for my restaurant. Charged my credit card right away. No product. Call ask for shipping. told to wait 48 hours for info. Pressed them harder. nothing. today is 10/1/07 and nothing. Called again and told product was not being manufactured any more. nothing like carrying interest on a CC purchase for a product that was never shipped or WILL be shipped. Just hope that I can get a refund form these LOSERS!!!

Buyer beware. BEWARE OF INSTAWARES!!!!!

"SCAM! They don't reply to emails and they don't answer their phone. The toll free # goes to a Carribean call center where they promise to email the status of your order!

I ordered a simple immersion thermometer probe TWO WEEKS AGO and paid extra for 2 day air. Here I am, credit card already charged, and NO PRODUCT. Status on Google Checkout shows no update since order placed and CC charged. This has to be THE WORSE support EVER. If the product isn't in stock AT LEAST reply to an email and state that. AT LEAST have your Carribean phone support give the customer a stock status. AT LEAST give the customer the option to cancel their order or don't charge their credit card until a stock status can be provided.

"An 24" magnetic bar (item# 5324) for holding knives was purchased online. The quality of the product was very poor. Knives slip off or easily fall off with a slight touch. The 25% restocking fee and shipping made it impractical to return. I will never buy from this company again given the poor quality of this product."

"TERRIBLE customer service! Do not order from this company! If you are lucky enough to get the product you ordered (we did), but need to return it, plan on being sent into the customer service black hole. They do NOT list their return policy anywhere but on the website. They do NOT list their return policy on the packing list, nor do they list a phone number to call, etc....

You will get TERRIBLE service if you deal with this company! AVOID THEM!

"The good: Product shipped as ordered, issues eventually resolved.
The bad: "In stock" but really backordered, and shipped 2 weeks late
The ugly: I got a bill from the freight company for delivering the shipment

I ordered a helium balloon kit, which was listed by the web site as "75 in stock, should ship in 1-2 days". I checked on the order after 3 days looking for a trackin number - it still hadn't shipped. Called customer service - they show it backordered, no ETA. I ask that they update their website. 2 days later, still "in stock", still backordered. Cust svc still not sure what is going on. Another week and a half later the box shows up, along with a bill from the freight carrier for 2x the purchase price! Another week of back and forth between cust svc and the freight line and it was finally resolved.

"I've ordered several times from these guys. It's a total crapshoot. However, their pricing is good so they attract lots of attention. But the amount of money lost to poor service and stuff they simply don't send or shows up broken makes up for it. Their customer service is almost non-existent and their website deceptive (you don't always get what you order or you have to find the tiny writing 4 pages into the description to realize you're not getting what you want). Caveat emptor, buyer beware."
