"I recently placed an order from jcp.com (Aug 8). The order consisted of two pkg of curtains and three curtain rods. All items were "in-stock" per the website. I chose delivery to the store because I assumed since my local store had them in stock, it would only take a couple of days MAX to process the order. It is now August 19, eleven days later, and I have yet to hear anything. I have called the store a couple of times and have been treated with little concern or care. In fact, the catalog dept. representatives have been very short and rude. One of them could not even find my order. The website states orders take approximately 3-4 days to ship if they are in stock, and that is if you have it sent to your home. On top of all this, they CHARGE for store delivery and they charge tax (I understand the tax). I would recommend shopping at another online retailer that provides free shipping and does not charge tax. JCP is NOT worth the time or effort. Most of what they sell is junk anyway. I know I will not be back!"

"Smooth transaction. It took 2 days to process the order, which was slow. They will send an email confirmation when the items does ship, but you'll need to log in to their website to get the tracking number. Shipping cost was very reasonable."

"ordered 8 roll-up blinds. 2 came pretty quickly, but the other 6 in a different size had to be backordered and came in about 2 weeks, which wasn't bad. but, they only sent the hardware for 3 blinds. had to call and it will take another 2 weeks to get them."

"Web site was somewhat confusing because the prices could change between screens if you don't put it in the cart to lock in the prices. Ordered two pajama sets for my wife and a TV remote holder on 12/15/2006 and received it on 12/19/2006. Shipment came fast. of course the PJs were too small so I had to return them. What, pay for shipping just to get the right size? In addition, the remote holder said cherry wood finish but looked more like brown stain. Decided to call Cust Serv and see if there was a way to avoid shipping back and forth. Yes, they said to bring it to any store and get a refund (minus s/h)and place another order for the right size before hanging up and the shipping was free and the same original prices. In the end everything worked out fine."

"I placed the order during the on-sale period for an item of 49 dollar. But after I placed the order, they charged my credit card for 59 dollar. "I've shopped JC Penney online at least once a month for the past year and a half. They have been FLAWLESS in ALL my dealings with them.
I have got incredible bargains from furniture to clothing to window shades. I view them as equal to the very best on-line merchants at which I have shopped (about 40 sites altogether).

"I am located in New Brunswick, Canada and have purchased from JCPenney for several years now. Also, I shop primarily for big/tall clothing from their outlet website. Our orders have always been correct and delivery takes about 10 days to my home. Products are good quality (especially considering the outlet prices!) Moreover, JCPenney includes all cross-border and shipping charges in their bill! (With other companies, we have to pay duty to Canada Post upon delivery.) We have become such regular customers, I obtained a US currency credit card. My only complaint is that they do not have stores in Canada!"
