"My wife says she is "long waisted." Being a typical male, I'm not sure I know what that means. I have been trying to buy her a nice cycle jacket for years and even looked into custom made jackets, knowing it would cost $600-$800 minimum. Then I heard what happened to Vanson and that idea went south. But she tried on lots of jackets in the $500-$700 range and none fit to her approval.
I just happened to be looking through my J&P "wish book" and saw this 3/4 length jacket and showed it to Amy. She said she liked the style and after reading reviews, we decided to take a chance. I don't like buying clothing online because you never know if it will fit right until you try it on. But we reviewed numerous sizing charts on line and decided on a size to try.
As has always been the case with J&P, the package arrived faster than I expected.
Amy loves the jacket and it fits well. The side zippers on the waist allow her to sit on the bike comfortably, as this is a 3/4 length and is longer than a standard jacket. She says it fits her just the way she wanted. I think it fits well, too. And it is a classic sport style - cafe collar - with no frills. Good quality leather and a good zip-out liner. I would say it is a very good value in the $200 price range. I would put it up against jackets in the $350 range without hesitation. It's a nice jacket.
I was prepared to pay much more, but couldn't find a jacket in the "top brands" that would fit. The fact I could find a good quality jacket that fit my wife the way she wanted, and that she liked, at this price is a bonus. "
