"This review is a follow-up to my initial review on December 18th. I was not happy with the way J&R Music shipped my ION Mobile DJ Speaker for iPod & iPhone IPA11. They shipped it in its original box and the box was very damaged when I received it. Since it was an X-Mas present, I did not pull it out of the carton to make sure that it worked. I did open the carton and there did not appear to be any damage to the unit itself. Since my initial Review, I received multiple phone calls from J&R Music's customer service and they have been wonderful. They ensured me that they would send me a new speaker if the original speaker did not work. My son opened his present and tried out the speaker. It appears to be working fine. There wasn't any structural damage to the unit itself as the speaker was packed in a very thick foam structure. In my original review I stated that I would not purchase anything else from J&R Music. However, I have changed my mind because I received excellent customer service. I have never in my 49 years of existence ever received the level of customer service that J&R Music provided. Their customer service excellence has completely changed my opinion of them and I would definitely recommend to everyone to purchase from their store/website. It is rare these days for any company to provide decent customer service. J&R Music has ascended their customer service to a level that I have never experienced and I will definitely continue to make purchases on their website."

"I can't say for sure what my rating would be as of now. I bought a mini stereo system for my parents as a Christmas present. The price was perfect and shipping was SUPER quick. Since they're hosting a small party on the 24th, I had them open their gift early (the 16th). I hooked it up for them and when I pressed "Power", there were some clicking sounds and then the stereo would shut down. I tried several more times with the same results: some clicking followed by the stereo turning off. It would not stay on for more than 20 seconds. We were all *very* disappointed. At this point it was Dec 16th. I called J&R for a replacement first thing the next morning. Unfortunately, they are now on back order. I cannot give a final rating on J&R as I have just started the return process. However, both the people I talked to on the phone were very pleasant and understanding of my situation. I found another store that has the stereo in stock. I only hope that they are able to get it me before the 24th. It's a shame because I had really wanted to do business with J&R. But if the return/refund goes smoothly, I most certainly will be back. I think something must of happening in the shipping process because the box had a few punctures upon arrival. I am not so trusting of having fragile items like this shipped - I would much rather pick the item up at the store. But this particular item is not available anywhere near where I live in VA. So I had no choice but to have it shipped. It might have arrived in working condition if the stereo box was placed in another box (?), but one can't say for sure. "
