OVER CHARGING ON THE $1 TRIAL

"After using their $1 trial, about 1 week later, they attempted to bill my Cap One Credit Card $46. Cap 1 must have history on this company, and sent me an email and a text to ask if it was legitimate, and wanted to close the CC. What a hassle

Dissapointed. Needed real help.

"I had a pressing question I needed advice on. My apartment complex was threatening me with eviction. I signed up for a trial to help me sleep that night and to get an answer for one question. It ran over 2 days and it slipped my mind that I needed to cancel and it wasn't automatic (because why would it be). I immediately submitted a cancellation and request for refund. I was really hoping during this financial crisis a human would understand and make an exception. The 60$ could have gone a long way for my family but instead I got nothing but a copy and paste about their policy."

Deceptive Fee!

"I was told there was a fee of $1. However, once I finished up with the tech he asked for a review. When I gave the review there was a flashed charge of $24! There was no time to react. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!"

$46 Monthly Scam

"After paying $5 for a question in August, I was charged $46 monthly starting on 9/25 and continuing on 10/25, 11/25 and 12/25. Of course, I don’t get my statements until late each month so it’s about 3 weeks after the bogus charge that I discover it. I spoke with the Disputes department at Chase Bank in late January and at least they were able to get through to someone at Just Answer. The rep apologized and verbally agreed to cancel my account (?). I received a subsequent email from Just Answer (Jeff Cavelili) on Jan 26, 2020 acknowledging my cancellation. Fast forward one month, yep there’s another $46 charge from Just Answer dated Jan 28, 2020. That meant yet another call to Chase Bank to dispute the charge. This time I asked the bank to block any future charges from Just Answer to my credit card. "

Rip off

"Horrible customer service
They do not send any email correspondence about your membership. It is unclear what you are even signing up for. I paid $5 to use their service then $70 to speak with an attorney. Never used the service again, never received any communication from them. Then they charged my account $46 3 weeks later and refused to refund it. Do not bother with this company that preys on the reoccurring membership unless you cancel.

BOZOS Rip off scam business model

"I am actually copying this from another person who filed a complaint on the better business site.
INTERESTING WE HAD ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME EXPERIENCE. I HAVE OVER 3 HOURS TALKING
TO WELLS FARGO HOPING THEY CARE THAT THEIR CUSTOMERS DON'T GET SCAMED. WF DOESN'T CARE:
Similar to others on this site, I had a really dis-tasteful experience with these people. I got suckered by their under-the-radar "trial period" and found myself with an on-going monthly charge for services not rendered. I fault myself for not catching it sooner, but I never had the intent to sign up for a monthly fee. When I called to complain the first person said they could only refund 3 months of charges. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she said that the always send an email notice about the automatic "subscription". Like others, I never got any such email notice, just one (in nine months) that did not mention the subscription nor did it offer any "click here to cancel". To add insult to injury, when I spoke to the supervisor she refused to offer any refund at all, thus not even honoring what the initial contact person had said they would do. Stay away from these bozos.

Fraud at Justanswer!

"We have been using Justanswer.com for many years, re veterinary problems, health problems, accounting problems...
We have always had excellent, honest service... until the last time we asked Justanswer about a mechanical problem. It was about a truck engine, and none of their mechanics even attempted to answer our problem. I signaled that we were not satisfied.
The whole idea of Justanswer is that if you are satisfied with your answer, you pay and otherwise you are not billed.
This time, in October 2018, we were first billed $5, then $72 and then $92 for a year's subscription that we NEVER asked for!!!!!
I immediately called my credit card (Capital one) who reversed the charges.
I thought that was the end of it. Then Justanswer contested and got me re-billed for the three amounts. I phoned Justanswer and was told that they had answered 3 questions for us in the last 2 months, so I asked for links to these questions. They did not send any link, and I am 100% sure that we only asked one question. This speaks to a level of dishonesty that is shocking.
As of today, Justanswer refuses to reimburse the money that they stole from me.
I have read the ratings of justanswer, and it would seem that what happened to us is standard practice for them nowadays. Perhaps they have changed management.
It is sooo sad because we used to really love justanswer.

It is so sad for old customers like me who will never return, and for their wonderful group of "question answerers", who have always been of a high caliber.

AVOID this website if you don't want to spend hours on the phone trying to get your money back!!!

"When my diabetic dog got into a 1lb box of See's candy last night while we were out to dinner, I panicked. Came to my laptop and found JustAnswer, and it was worth the $$ to get a vet's thorough answer within 10 minutes. My dog is fine today, after vomiting a lot last night (that was a good thing) and drinking lots of water, she settled down and slept well, waking us up twice during the night to go potty (expected, she seemed to drink a gallon of water). Thanks to the vet, he calmed me down, and all seems well. I highly recommend JustAnswer, esp during a traumatic time like ours last night."

"This is what I would characterize as a sucker site. They presented the site at logitech.justananswer.com in order to make the person think it's a geniune Logitech support center. Then, after writing up a question in detail and jumping through their hoops, only then do they tell you that it will cost you nearly $50 for an answer."

"Had a problem with my TV. Sent description of it to JustAnswers. Got a response from a master technician relatively quickly. He ask two basic trouble shooting questions to qualify the problem. After that, it finally got "escalated" to all experts. But no further response but billed for $28 to take a couple of minutes to ask fundamental questions. Waste of time and money. No way to complain or escalate on their site. BBB rating is a joke."

"A great and quickly accessible service that gave me -a very stressed out owner of a beloved dog - the information and so the peace of mind I desperately needed.
I found the vet advice I got from this site re an anterior cruciate ligament post-op treatment, very valuable, specific and detailed and I am following it to the letter..Far superior to that from a local vet.. Thankyou JustAnswer.

"I was searching a major manufacturers website for a replacement part and somehow was bounced over to this justanswer.com site. I was inattentive in thinking I was with a representative of the manufacturer. I had the question "where can I purchase this part"? I had to agree to pay $12.60 before they would agree to help me and that I did.

The answer they gave me was what I already had from the manufacturer. They kept asking that I accept their answer and I did not do that because they did not help me. But to settle this matter, I agreed to pay the $12.60 and chalk this one up to experience. Another interesting note - to go back now and read their answers, I have to pay $3.00.

It is a "never again" for me. I recommend anyone considering using this company, read the online reviews. I wish I had done that first.
