"In terms of customer support, advice, timely service, and going above and beyond normal expectations in a business transaction, Kevin at KC Computers is just superb. This is the sort of customer service that can make a small business a great operation.
In terms of the product I received, it was exactly as advertised. This is clearly the best computer I've ever purchased. I only have three recommendations for improvements, one of which may have nothing to do with KC Computers:
- The internal wiring was not as professionally done as I would have liked. This is partly an issue of aesthetics (and I have high standards), but also an issue of keeping cables from rubbing against the mobo and graphics cards.
- The computer arrived completely in pristine condition, but the packaging was a bit amateurish. It did the job in my case, however.
- There is noticeable static when I plug a headset into the front jack. This may be a function of the graphics card, which I provided, and may have nothing to do with KC. In any case, this sort of thing is configuration dependent.
I know I will buy my next computer from KC, and I will also recommend them to anyone else who will listen."
"I heard about this company on this website and the 10 rating seemed almost too good to be true. Well let me assure you all that this company deserves the 10 rating! I decided to contact Kevin and see about making a purchase. Kevin was very quick to respond to my email and helped me set up a nice system while keeping cost in mind. He saved me about $350 or more on my processor and motherboard by recommending cheaper components that wouldnt hurt my performance. How many other companies out there would help you pay them less? The customer service outstanding, Kevin was very patient with all my questions and very flexible as well. I wanted a special case that they didnt have and Kevin special ordered it for me and installed my system in that case. During the burn in Kevin noticed that there was a problem with my sound card and was very quick to tell me about it and very honest. He offered to either order a new one and install it or ship the system set up to use on board sound and send me a new one which was great because he gave me options. I also really appreciated his honesty even though he knew id be disappointed he told me what was going on and offered options to make it right. I recieved the system yesterday and it was very neatly packaged with all the boxes for my video card, motherboard, case, etc and came with all the disks and all the most up to date drivers and windows updates already installed. The system booted up right out of the box with no problems and its running great, does exactly what i wanted it to do as far as gaming and everything has lifetime technical support if i need it. All parts come with a 1 year warranty and some of the parts have a 3 year warranty. So to anyone who is thinking about buying a computer in the near future believe the hype this is the company to buy from period. If you have any doubts about that send Kevin an email and see what he can do for you, you wont regret it! I know the vendors keep up with their comments so Kevin thanks alot for your patience hard work! Ill definately buy from you in the future.

Updated April 16 2007 - second order from KC computers. This time for a quad core intel workstation. Service and support were, as before, outstandingly good. Impartial and objective advice on components, good communication throughout (I occasionally got emails detailing what was going on with the system build at 2am!). Plus Kevin is a great guy to do business with, very friendly and absolutely professional. The website remains fairly primitive compared to other stores, but don't let that put you off. Overall, my experience with this order was excellent in every way, and I strongly recommend them

Lets start with the negatives - they're more expensive than the average (but see later), and their
website is rather basic compared to others.
Now on to the positives - customer service, and the whole buying experience, are absolutely
outstanding. I've ordered systems from 5-6 other companies, all of which are much bigger (and
somewhat cheaper) than KC computers, but the service I got from Kevin and his team was streets
ahead of all of them. I wanted an Opteron workstation with specific, and slightly unusual
components. Emailed for a quote late one evening and got a quote back at MIDNIGHT (and we're
both on the east coast!). Very helpful and friendly when deciding on the system
components - they were always happy to make recommendations and offer advice but were never
in the least bit pushy. Once everything was decided upon I was kept informed of
progress as everything was put together, and they were very careful in setting everything
up with the latest drivers and burned everything in to make sure there were no problems.
When the system arrived it was very well built and worked perfectly. Simply could not ask
for more than this! Ok, they may appear pricey at first but you get excellent value for
your money. I for one will definitely buy from them again and strongly recommend. "

"I had a great experience shopping at KC computers. Kevin was always prompt replying to emails, and I'm talking replying with in a few hours at the most. He gave me some good advice about components that I was unsure about and made several suggestions for each one, and still kept me within my stated budget.
While I haven't had any problems with my machine, which is always good, I have no doubt that Kevin will stand by his work and take care of any problem that comes up. I have already reccomended him to several friends and I fully intend to buy from him again in the future.

I’ve bought two computers from them so far, the first one for my father, and now this recent one for myself. Kevin and his staff were always patient, courteous and informative in their responses to my seemingly endless stream of questions. I’ve received responses to my e-mails within minutes of pressing the send button. They even have a 1 yr advance replacement policy on most items, so if something breaks they will replace it even before you send back the broken part. "As I have read many times at this site, dealing with Kevin was a great experience. I contacted him about upgrading a system when my motherboard died. He patiently and quickly answered my questions and gave me several options to choose from. He didn't push expensive components that I didn't need. After receiving the components, he patiently and quickly responded to my questions. When I had problems with the motherboard (my fault) I returned it for testing. He checked it out thoroughly and returned it promptly. After a couple more emails, my system is working great. The customer service is great. I highly recommend KC Computers.
