"Stay away from this on-line retailer. We ordered an Action Figure by Funko for $15.82; however, after 35 days it has never been delivered but they took our money. We tried calling several times; but all calls go into voicemail then a recording states that the mailbox is full. We sent numerous emails that no one responds to. It is very frustrating that when you try to by a gift for your child and it fails because it falls into the hands of such irresponsible vendors such as Kirin Hobby. Stay Away!"
"I preordered an item on May 2nd. I received an invoice on June 9th stating that my preordered item "is arriving soon." I paid for it on June 9th. I sent an email on June 18th asking about the shipping status of my order because I noticed the product status was changed on the website to say something like "backorder, waiting on stock replenishment." I received no response to my email.
8 days later, I started trying to call during their limited business hours. They did not pick up the phone on three separate occasions and they did not respond to a voice message requesting an order status update.
I filed a Paypal dispute on 6/27 and escalated it to a claim on 6/28 after another day of no communication (now 10 days since my first email). After filing the claim I received an email reply apologizing for the delay and stating that the item will ship soon. Then, about an hour later, I received an email stating that my order was cancelled, with the following message in the order notes: "Paypal dispute received."
They could have responded to the claim by shipping the item I paid them for 20 days ago, but instead they chose to drag this issue out even longer. Even though they cancelled my order on the 28th, they didn't refund my money at that time. They held on to it for another 5 days. On July 3rd, they closed the Paypal claim by refunding me.
There you have it: an order spanning 2 months, including them holding onto my payment for 24 days with no response to emails and phone calls until a Paypal claim is brought into the equation. I will not be ordering from this company ever again.

"I pre-ordered a $285 figure from Kirin Hobby back in November 2016 on pre-order for $249. As of June 27th 2017, they FINALLY shipped it. (Shipments started in March for other retailers).
I saw this same figure, in person, for sale in both a brick and mortar store 2 MONTHS AGO, at conventions, and via dozens of other online retailers for $260-$280.
I have been emailing and calling Kirin Hobby for a month now, asking to either ship the figure, or issue a refund. Not a single email reply. Not a single time has my call been answered.
Oddly enough, Kirin Hobby FINALLY replied to my email, less than 24 hours after I wrote this review here, about them taking forever to ship pre-ordered items that were obviously in stock elsewhere. Hmm...coincidence?
TL,DR: they seem to be the last retailer in the supply chain, sometimes shipping months after other retailers whom have already shipped their orders of the same figures, but their prices are lower than most other retailers, and have free shipping on more expensive orders.
