"Excellent - lens despatched on time, well packaged, in good condition and supplied with all necessary labels and return instructions. I booked the return courier a day early (as I'd gone out and bought myself the same lens on the strength of the results with the hired one). The couriers failed to pick it up, however, so I had to phone and rebook another pick up for the next day. Once again they failed to pick it up, and on phoning them again they then booked two different courier companies to try and make sure a third pickup attempt actually happened, which it finally did. Lensesforhire kept abreast of the situation and did not charge any extra hire fees, nor did I expect them to. The poor weather - snow holding up couriers across the country - was to blame and I'd be happy to hire kit from them again."

I would like to say a couple of things stood out when using this company but in actual fact everything was outstanding, the range and ease of access, the checking of the suitability of the lens for my needs, the explanation of each step along the way, the postal case in which the lens was delivered, the fact that I received the lens early due to requiring a Sunday start date and best of all I received a free lens upgrade as the original lens was not ready in time for my rental.

The lens itself was a 300mm f/2.8 IS L series Canon and was exceptionally sharp and responsive. I used it for bird photography and managed photographs of far better quality than my usual standard.

Sadly I will never be able to afford one of these lenses but thankfully I will be able to hire from LensesForHire.

Because of the weather, I was unsure weather the event I was photographing would go ahead and I left it until the last minute to hire a lens.
