"I thought I needed a new motor for mom’s lift chair, the thought of spending nearly as much as a slightly used chair was not appealing. But mom insisted she wanted it repaired, she’s got it broken in just the way she wants it.
We live in a city with several DME stores, I called every one of them. Same story, yeah I would just replace the motor but it only comes as part of a kit $250-350. We have to order it and it should be here in 7 - 10 days.
I called Liftchairs.com to see what kind of support might be available to confirm what part(s) I really needed. Did I really need a “kit”, a motor, a control, a new chair?
The salesperson was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He could have taken advantage of the opportunity and “sold” me every possible replacement part.
After describing what the chair was doing intermittently, he thought the issue was more likely to be the controller based on what I described, so that’s what I ordered.
It arrived a few days later. Easy swap of the old one out, new one in - 5 minutes and it worked like new! Saved at least a few hundred dollars!
Inevitably there will be a future breakdown and it will be a very easy decision to be a repeat customer. "
"I called the phone number and Russel answered the phone. he was very helpful with being sure that I was getting the right parts for my chair. he gave me some tips for installation and maintenance on the mechanism. he told me that usually the had control usually goes out first. he was right. when I got my order I plugged in the new had control and that is what had failed. he was very knowledgeable and I appreciated him sharing his knowledge and experience with me. parts arrived on the predicted delivery date. everything worked great. "1. Once order was placed I could not pull it up on website. 2. I didn't receive email confirmation until I emailed them asking for it, 3 days later. 3. Remote is not what was pictured when ordered but it works. 4. Phone number on website connected me to some other company. After 4 tries it finally connected me to this company. I got a voice mail that said for me to email them or if I was looking for Ken to leave a message. Upon receiving remote with packing slip the phone number on website IT IS NOT THE SAME AS ON PACKING SLIP. 5. I placed an order on Saturday night and received the following Saturday. I paid 15$ extra for 3-5 business days but it took longer. No refund given for late delivery. Ordering from this company gave me too many red flags to think I had been scammed. I don’t need this type of anxiety. They need to revamp customer service!! I will look else next time"
