"I've been a LightInTheBox customer for a couple of years but had only ordered t-shirts for people as gifts. I recently downloaded the app on my Android phone so I could take advantage of the additional discounts, sales and rewards that are not available when ordering online. I was thrilled with the discounts I received on my very first in-app order. I also subscribed to their Gold Membership so I could take advantage of the MUCH lower shipping rates.
Once I had the app installed, I found myself spending time scrolling through their Flash Sale items just for fun. Flash Sales are discounted items are marked down even lower for a limited time (usually 24 hours). Some of the bargains were too good to pass up so even though I expected lower quality on items costing between $2 and $5 (CAD), I decided to take a chance. With a flat rate of $7.50 for shipping, I loaded up my cart and took a chance. I figured if the quality was disappointing, I would only be out about $30 and I could donate the items to charity. Was I ever surprised! The first order showed up with everything looking exactly as it did in the photos. The electronic gadgets were all in working order, the clothing items were well sewn and nothing was broken, defective or cheap looking!
After that I placed several orders, all arriving ahead of schedule, boxes well packed, nothing damaged and nothing missing. There was one dress that didn't fit my daughter well at all but for $5, it didn't hurt a bit when I donated it to charity and I'm sure it'll fit some other lucky girl.
I haven't tried to return anything so I can't comment on that but I did have a problem with one of the shipments being detained at the border by the shipper who was requesting additional money for taxes and duty before they would deliver the order. I wasn't happy but I knew I'd paid a dollar and change for "Duty & Tax Insurance" so I contacted LightInTheBox for instructions. I was told to pay the requested charges and then send proof of payment to LightInTheBox for a full refund. I wasn't thrilled about being asked to put out more money, but since it was only $19.83, I took a chance. I followed the instructions and the box was delivered to me the next day. The entire amount ($19.53) was then refunded to my PayPal account as soon as I sent the paperwork to LightInTheBox. I can't ask for better than that.
One more thing to add... While I was stressing over the undelivered package that was being held by the shipper, I communicated several times with a customer service representative named Amadou. Amadou was polite, professional and compassionate throughout this strange frustrating time. He's a great communicator, writes in English perfectly and he was kind and very comforting when I was worried about losing my package and my money. I can't say I'm happy that the incident happened but I'm very happy that it gave me a chance to prove that LightInTheBox stands by their policies and fulfills their promises.

"In preparation for going on vacation I purchased a total of eleven men's items including linen shirts and linen pants. Firstly the items arrived much quicker than I had expected. Most of the items were amazing and just how they had been described and how they looked in the pictures. A couple of the items the sizing was way off and one item I received in the wrong color. "I love light in the box. I have ordered many times. As long as you check the size chart for each individual item and know how big you are, you will not be disappointed! On the few occasions where the size chart was incorrect I have gotten either a partial refund or store credit For shipping to return it’s just not worth what I paid for the items but they do offer returns. The size charts are accurate for the most part but many items are UK sizes or EU sizes or US sizes or China sizes. The flash sales are really worth it I have bought many beautiful T-shirts for $5 or less. I get so many compliments on the items that I have purchased. They also have household goods which are really cute or useful and also budget friendly they have sales all the time just know that the flash sale items are not eligible for any coupons. Shipping takes 2 to 3 weeks but they keep you updated with tracking on everything. I really like that they except PayPal so I’m not giving my credit card numbers to people in foreign countries."
"I've ordered about 17 times, and about 60 items - blouses, dresses, wigs, belts, jewelry, etc. All have arrived except 1, which was cancelled and refunded by the seller. I've only been disappointed twice, due to sizing issues. Luckily, I can sew, so alterations were possible - and LITB gave a 10% credit for the inconvenience. I love the styles, and find things I wouldn't be able to find elsewhere. Fulfilling the orders can take a few weeks, which is very disappointing when you're anxious to get your new fashionable clothes, but patience is rewarded. Most of the fabrics are wash and dryable, but care labels are often lacking. Packing and shipping was concerning at first, because clothes are vacuum packed and arrive looking terribly wrinkled - fortunately, the wrinkles come out with laundering and a light ironing. I appreciate the ability to review my pending orders and delivery status online.. I continue to do business with them because they offer great value."
