"The system never works right for more than a day or two. The edge 2 DVR keeps freezing. I have more trouble trying to pull up the system from my mobile devices than I expected. Additionally, my cameras very rarely show real time and sometimes stay stuck in the daytime while it is night out.
I have purchased an extension antenna which only helped one camera when I was told it would help them all. So I have spent more money on two new cameras that are wired in hopes to fix the problem. Now I have two wireless cameras that will just sit in storage.
I am not positive that I will buy Lorex products in the future."

"My son installed the system which was pretty easy to do without a users manual (because the package did not include one). However I was able to print it off the internet. My suggestion to DIY, is to program your smartphone or iPad first so that when you are positioning the cameras, you can see the range on the smartphone or iPad. The reception on my TV is clear. We just need to tweak the night vision on 2 cameras so there is no reflection from the house walls. Great product and worth the money for the security you get in return. Now when my oldest son calls me and I don't answer the phone, he can track me down outside where I'am most likely doing my chores. Lorextechnology is keeping me safe, and the intruders away."

"Received my new Lorex camera system this week. Spent a couple days setting up the system parameters with the Stratus Client. This software is jam packed full of user control features, and fairly straight forward and intuitive. I ran into a couple setup issues that I called Tech Support about. Calls we're answered quickly by incredibly pleasant and helpful staff. So uncommon in today's world.
Yesterday was install day. Took a couple hours to complete the install of 4 outdoor wireless cameras. Hookup was a snap and once everything was plugged in and powered up it worked...flawlessly.
Now my wife and I can monitor home activity while at work or traveling on our mobile devices and laptops. We also set the system to send us alerts when motion is detected in certain areas of surveillance.
I am totally impressed with this system and the service received from Tech Support. I NEVER take the time to write reviews for anything. However, in this case I have been so impressed that I had to take the time.

"Received a new 8 cameras system and it was damaged so I tried to have the item retured, and I tried to as per the tech, ( internally damaged hard drive), when transfered to the sales devision the sales person started to yell at me because he wished a curse on all the techs for telling me what to do and how to handle my situation. Then he hung up on me after I asked for a supervisor several time. I called back and demanded a full refund as quoted by the company. I only had the unit long enough to unpack it from the carton. Oh and my lawyer was sitting in my front room listening to this guy rant all over me for no reason what so ever.
