"The selection of flooring items is ample. The installation and service in flooring is horrific. They take shortcuts, do not follow directions and you cannot get the store to return and repair their installers mistakes. I spend a great deal of money per year flipping homes. I no longer can use a company that does not back their install services. "
"Needed a fridge ASAP so bought one and employee went to stock room and visually saw that one was available. It was described as an emergency delivery the following day.
Called 7 am to find out the delivery window time frame. In fact I called two more times and spoke to the manager. I was assured it would come the next day.
Day 2 I called delivery three more times inquiring about its delay. The manager didn’t put in a new date to be delivered.
It wasn’t on the truck and if I agreed to delivery on day 3, a discount of $160 would be applied.
Day 3 Received another call giving me a delivery time frame. A second and third call stating the fridge wasn’t in the stock room.
I told rep, that another local store had it in stock. It would be too much trouble to send out the truck to pick it up as it would delay the other customers.
I will be given a new loaner until the fridge I purchased is back in stock. Distribution center will be called tmrw.
I hope that after it arrives it works well.
I have never bought a large appliance at Lowe’s and don’t ever plan to again.
The reps were all very nice but the trust and dependability is gone.

"Customer service rep filled out paid ($35) estimate form for door(s) and installation. We were told contractor would be contacting us within 48 hours. Checked form 2 days later. Rep had written phone number wrong! We called customer service. They apologized and said someone would call us back that day. If not,we should call them back. No return call. We called back again later that same day. Contact person said we should hear from them later that day or tomorrow. No one called back until 3 days later in the evening on a Friday. We had left town for the holiday weekend. Tuesday, after the holiday,we heard the recorded message. We contacted them again, and they said they would be out that morning. The contractor came, took measurements, and said Lowe’s would be contacting us so we could come in and select door(s) that we wanted installed. One week later, and we have not heard from anyone! Guess Lowes does not need our business!"
"Crap customer service. Flashing partly installed and not completed.Old flashing left and no caulking. Most contractors will say most of their work is fixing lowes jobs. Never trust lowes with any home improvements."
"Had Lowes install carpet in my home. We got high quality carpet and paid over $8,000.00. After 15 months the carpet developed rolls and ridges due to poor installation. Lowes has a one year warranty but many carpet issues develop after the 12 month warranty. I called both the local and corporate office and they were unwilling to budge on the installation issues. They didn't even acknowledge that they would look into the subcontracted installers, so the chance of this happening to someone else is a possibility. Do not allow Lowes to install carpet in your home"
"I special ordered a sliding glass door on July 13th 2018 with installation. I got the call it was in on August 8th and then the install company called and stated that the soonest day to install is September 21st. 3 months to get a door put in and they already sending me bills to pay for something I don't have. To make things worse the door is 25% less because now it's on sale which is $500 less. So $3000 door I'm paying on for nothing. Next time I'll go for Home Depot."
"Worst experience, rude customer service and the manager never came up to talk to us although he was paged twice"
"Have been going to Lowes for many years and always have a great experience with great customer service help and finding what I need quickly."
"Completely inapt at handling any sort of customer service issue:
July 24 - ordered a new 4-door Samsung counter-depth fridge to be fulfilled by the Greenwood Village store. Estimated delivery Aug 4 on my order. I also ordered the 5-year extended warranty with it.
Aug 3 - got notifications from Lowes in Greenwood Village, saying expect a call with a 2 hour window for delivery tomorrow. Call can come today or tomorrow. I thought great.
Aug 4 - crickets...
Aug 7 - I call customer service saying where is the fridge that should be in my kitchen right now? They transfer me to the store fulfilling the order. After some back and forth calls and research, they inform me that it doesn't look like this fridge model can get to them before October 23! I say unacceptable and, her name was Angie, agrees to email me couple of options that can be delivered sooner. She sends three options, none of which would work for me, but I didn't get to look at them until that evening and by then the store was closed.
Aug 8-9 - Angie is off and no one else knows anything.
Aug 10 - Angie is back and we play phone tag (and they can never answer the phone in appliances when I call because they are understaffed and always with a customer). We finally get to talk and because of the issues with the alternatives I was sent (whirlpool and GE), I say the only other one I am interested in is an identical LG model which has 3 doors, not 4 like the Samsung I ordered. She tells me I can have that one within a week. Since it has one less drawer, and the MSRP is $100 less than the Samsung, I figure I can get it for the same price or less as what I paid because the prices have gone up since my original order. She has to check with a manager to authorize because currently the LG selling price is $300 more than the nicer Samsung due to promotion periods or something.
Hour and a half later I hear from Angie who tells me the manager would not authorize the price adjustment to be the same as what I had already paid for back on July 24 and we agree that she should just cancel my order. Here I am 2.5 weeks later starting the fridge search all over again.
And get this – as of today, Aug 10, they are still selling that Samsung on their site with an estimated delivery date of Aug 20!!! They still haven't updated the fact that these are not going to be arriving anywhere before late October.
Nothing against Angie, she tried and was nice when we were able to talk, but she had no decision making power and was limited in when she works and what she can do. With this sort of service and communication (no one would have ever called me until I raised the issue, including the first call today), Lowe’s needs to go out of business. Or stop selling appliances at the very least."
"It is now Aug 7 & I just got off the phone w/the Lowes 800# about a refrigerator I ordered on July 16. I have been on the phone w/them everyday since. First I tried ordering online which wouldn't go thru. Then I placed order w/CS 800# and was told that my local store 13 mi away did not have it in stock but it would be dlvd from a store 55 miles away. Then the 55 mi store called to say they didn't have it in stock but their 3rd party dlvy svc called to confirm dlvy??? On Aug 5, the 55 mi store called and said they did not have the unit and cancelled my order saying they do not deliver to my zip code area suggesting I call the 13 mi store. I did and was told that their system said they did not have refrigerator but transferred me to the appliance dept who said they did have it in stock. So I placed an order with the store but they would not complete the process because Lowes stores do not accept payments over the phone - some BS about fraud. At the same time, they asked for my credit card # but then said they could not "swipe"??? telling me that my credit card was a debit card. So then I called the 800# Sales again starting my story all over for the 12+ time & was put on hold for 30+ minutes to get a supervisor who got on & asked me to HOLD AGAIN while the idiot pulled up my info. Seriously, she didn't have it in front of her when she got on the phone. She disconnected me. Meantime, the 13 mi appliance guy called me & confirmed they had the frig and wanted me to come into store to pay. I called the 800# again to try to pay for this order. This time I got a helpful person who called the 13 mi store who told her that they just sold MY REFRIGERATOR. WHAT???? By now, I am furious & want compensation. The store mgr wants to offer me an upgrade without addt'l $$ compensation. Guess what? I don't want an upgrade. I want the frig I ordered on July 16. As it stands now, I'm waiting & waiting & waiting for yet another phone call from the store manager and then from the 800 number rep. NEVER AGAIN! I purchased other appliances from Lowes years ago with no problems but whatever is going on with them now - forgetaboutit. NEVER AGAIN!"
"My store is in Jackson, Michigan #146. Time line is as follows. May 17th 2018 we purchased, paid in full and signed contract to have Granite counter tops installed in our home. We were told to call Cutting edge and set up a time to pick out our Granite countertop slab. We called and made an appointment for the 25th of May. We both got out of work early using vacation hours and drove the 91 miles to the store location. When we arrived our sales rep was not there so we were helped by another associate. We picked out our slab and were told a Templet would be measured out between 2 to 3 weeks and then one week after that we could expect our install which we were told should be some where the week of June 18th. Well the week of June 18th came and no word from Cutting edge so I called them on the 19th of June to ask when we could expect a representative of cutting edge to come out because we were expecting to have installation this week. I was told that some how our order has been misplaced and the slab that we took off early from work and drove 91 miles to pick out was no longer available. I was told that they would have to locate a slab and they would get back to me. I immediately contacted the sales team at the Jackson, Michigan store and told them of my problem. I asked if there was any compensation for our time or the gas we used to pick out the slab for our 3 hour round trip to Perrysburg, Ohio. I was told by my sales person there was nothing she could do to compensate us but say sorry. Cutting edge called me a few days later and said she found a slab and the best she could do is send me a couple pictures. From this we had to make a decision if we liked it. We held our breath and said yes we would accept the slab based off the pictures. June 28th an associate of Cutting edge came out and measured. He was very professional and was in and out in no time before he left he told us Cutting edge would contact us and schedule the install. I called Cutting edge the next day and asked when we could expect install. I was at that time old July 23rd is the next available day for this to be done. July 23rd the installers arrived and proceeded to install our counter top. They were very professional and worked very efficiently. We were informed by the installers that they could not finish our installation because the back splash had been cut incorrectly and they would have to find a match and come back at a later date. July 25th at 2pm I was contacted by Cutting edge and was told they could be out to finish installation on July 1st. July first came and the installers finished the job and again the installers were very professional. As far as the sales crew at Cutting Edge and My LOWES store here in Jackson, MI. Very much a disappointment to ever have worked with them because of their lack of professionalism and compassion for our situation. Project # 544536651"
"First I ordered a faucet that comes with the shower pipe and head for a claw footed tub. I got the confirmation email that said they would send an email when it shipped with the tracking number and one when it arrived. The day before it was estimated to arrive I called their customer service number since I never received an email saying it shipped. I was told it was shipped when I called 1 day before it was to be here the 25th and told it should be there on the 27th, the promise date was the 26th. We change our plans and when I came home on the 26th, I had an email saying it was at the store for pickup, but by that time we weren't going back out. Next day after my husband gets home from work, we go to the store to pickup our order and they looked for over an hour while were are by now sitting on the furniture in the outdoor department which was by the customer service desk. Even after looking for over an hour, they can't find our order. It isn't a small box, pretty hard to lose. They called around and they said the guy who checked it in will be in tomorrow, but the person I was talking to won't, but she promises she will pass on the information and it will be up front at the pick up desk when my husband gets off from work tomorrow. While sitting and waiting another gentleman sat down as they were looking for his item he told us they once lost his 400 lb staircase that was delivered to the store. When I worked retail and we took an order, it was put in a bin with the bin number put into the computer so that when they came to pick it up you could walk to the bin and there it was. Next day, no phone call, so I call about 3pm and talk to another woman who says she will look for it and call me by 6pm. No return call, so I call back at 7pm and am told that woman went home at 6pm, but she will look for it and call me by 10pm. She called me just before 10pm and they still can't find it, but they will leave a message for the manager in the receiving area and they will call me the next day. Next day, still no call, so I call and ask for a manager, after arguing with a person at customer service that I wanted a manager. She finally transfers me and I talk to the Lumber manager who was very nice and told me he would call me within 30 minutes, I figured I would give him an hour and just before the hour was up, he called me back and said he found it. It was in the right place, had fallen down behind the other items in the bin. So it took 3 days before I got someone smart enough to look behind the other items there to find my large box. I have no problem with the manager, Jerry, he did what he said he would, but the rest of the people working there were no help at all and only one of them ever called me back. I won't be spending much money there anymore, Home Depot is closer, we started going there because they had the flooring we wanted so were got a credit card there and were buying items to fix our home."
"I will start by saying when you are angry enough, MOST people are polite BUT I started a floor and dishwasher project in mid-June with Lowe's in Goose Creek, SC. It is now July 27th and I still don't have finished floors or a dishwasher installed. The dishwasher was supposed to arrive on July 8th and floors were supposed to be finished on July 3rd. Keller scheduled install for 8:00 today. John, the installer, called yesterday and asked if he could arrive between 11:30 - 12:00 because he wanted to leave my house to go on vacation afterward. After explaining I would have a 30 minute period for child pick up, he agreed to the conditions. Today, I leave my house at 11:15, he calls at 11:23 and refused to wait. I arrive back in my driveway at 11:43 to find that he has left. My timing was perfectly within his requested time of 11:30 - 12:00. After extending 3 1/2 hours of grace to him, he cannot be courteous enough or professional enough to stick to our agreement and give me 20 minutes to get home. Now I sit until next week for them to find another installer because he has gone on vacation with my transition piece, and the dishwasher that I have been waiting on for 4 weeks and has finally arrived and must be postponed AGAIN for install. The dishwasher story is another debacle that no one cares or wants to read about but long story short, it was supposed to arrive by July 8th and be installed shortly thereafter. Lowe's has lost a faithful customer and I will be glad to wash my hands of them when this is done."
"I paid more for the washing machine at Lowe's because they said they could deliver in 2 weeks. When 2 weeks past without delivery I called and was told 3 more weeks before delivery. The machine delivered did not work. I was told they could provide a replacement in 6-7 weeks or I could buy the $1500 dollar machine if I wanted it sooner. I refused and asked for a repairman to figure out what was wrong, but nobody followed up. When I followed up, trying to set up service, I was given the run around. The service reps attitude was "If you don't like it, tough" I hung up on that rep (rather than swear at her) and called back. I called back and got a rep that was willing to set up the service. I now have a serviceman scheduled. We will see where it goes from here. But in any case, I am certain that I won't make the mistake of buying from Lowe's again. BestBuy was cheaper and I have never had problems with them."
"I purchased Pella windows from Lowes in Oshkosh, WI on April 3, 2018. The windows were received and installation began on May 15. The windows were measured wrong: they were 1/2" too big for the openings but the installers insisted they could make the windows fit. WRONG! They0006982 have yet to finish wrapping the outside of the windows and have removed all the interior wood trim around the windows. It is now July 17 and Lowes doesn't give a damn about completing the installation. I have contacted four reputable contractors and no one wants to finish Lowes chop job. I am contacting an attorney and the cost will be much greater than if I had just purchased the windows from a reputable company. If you want windows, STAY AWAY FROM LOWES! They don't even deserve a one star rating!"
