"I bought a Satori P170HM from Malibal. First of all, Malibal's customer service is fantastic. I was able to get someone to help me with the purchase at 2:30 AM EST. I needed help buying the laptop using 2 credit cards and they were able to help quickly and efficiently. Malibal's prices are also one of the most competitive among all the reseller and their options to customize your laptop is top notch. I've visited all the other laptop manufacturer's websites, such as Dell/Alienware, HP, Lenovo, Sager, XoticPC, Power Notebook,and Mythologic and found Malibal's prices and customizability were the best for me. The laptop itself is very nice. I got the 17" glossy screen instead of the matte so there is a little glare but not really noticeable. I got i7-2630QM CPU, 16gig 1333 RAM, Radeon 6990M, 80 gig SSD HD, 500 gig HD, intel 6300 wireless, and IC diamond 7 thermal coumpound all for about $1800. I haven't tried any games on it yet, but Windows Experience Index gave the following scores, CPU-7.4, RAM-7.6, Graphics 2D/3D-7.6, and Primary Hard disk-7.7. The laptop comes with all the basic drivers and software on 1 CD so doing a fresh Windows install is easy. If there is any cons I feel about the laptop I would have to say it's the weight.

Overall the experience with Malibal was very good and I wouldn't buy a laptop from any other company. My experience with my laptop is also very good, but since it's still new, I would have to use it for a while to make a thorough assessment."

"Greetings. I will be splitting this review into two sections- one for Malibal and one for the product (P170HM). I've seen reviews that judge Malibal based on the product itself, which is not fair in some cases. Here is my assessment:
MALIBAL:
Communication is excellent.
Responses are usually the same day, sometimes within hours.
However, responses can be a bit terse or short.
I also found out about the ATI 6990M backorder through another review, which explained the delay on my order.
I use the word "delay" loosely, considering they still got the computer to me in 4 weeks, which is very fast.
Malibal was very kind and changed my ground shipping to 2-Day shipping.
Conclusion: They take their time to make a good machine and they care about their customers. The ATI backorder is not their fault and they STILL managed to get the job done very quickly. I am impressed.

Clevo P170HM:
I have read some pros and cons about this model.
It is used by many resellers.
The machine is large even for a desktop replacement.
However, it is justified in every way.
The computer runs cool all the time.
The keyboard is similar to VAIO/Macbooks.
I saw another review that complained about the touchpad.
It does tend to skid when you use it,
however, it goes away after about 1 week of use.
(It gets "seasoned" with your finger oils, oil spot not visible)
The screen is wonderful. No dead pixels, no stuck pixels.
The fingerprint reader is entertaining and can be programmed to launch all sorts of applications.
Games such as Battlefield 3 Beta can be played at max settings with the 6990M.
Installation was easy. I have my own copy of Windows 7 Ultimate. Once complete, I installed everything on the driver CD and one by one all of the components started working.
Bluetooth takes a little while to pair with headphones, but is otherwise seamless. Perhaps a different wifi card would pair faster, but the wait is not bad.
The speakers are amazing. It is a bit strange for the center speaker to not be "centered" on the laptop, but otherwise the quality is on par with most media computers.
The FN keys are pretty standard, though there isn't a next/previous track. (Autohotkey can fix that)
I've seem some people complain about the numpad.
The layout is not traditional and the arrow keys are hard to distinguish from other keys nearby.
Most 17" laptops can emulate traditional keyboards, but this one does not.
The new layout can be learned with time.
In general, a very powerful machine that keeps cool and performs consistently.

"I was a little edgy when ordering from Malibal because i have never heard of them. But I went ahead and ordered it. Realitivly fast turn around my laptop was still shipped within 5-7 bus even though the 3d screens they had was in short supply. When i got it i loved almost every aspect. I couple things i wish was that the thing wasn't a finger print magnet, had a better touchpad, and a back lit keyboard but that's not malibal's fault its clevo's fault so I'm not knocking off stars. Overall great place to shop and their product is simply amazing even when playing games my graphics card stays at a cool 65-70 degrees celsius"

"EXCELLENT service. My previous rating was a 1 star because I called twice and it sounded like they hung up on me twice. Not the case at all... My skpe was messed up but it didn't show up as a dropped call.
