"I purchased my Lotus P151HM1 on 8/16 and I got it the next week. I called up their support and they gave me money off for being a student :) I have been using the computer for a month now and it is GREAT! By far the best computer that I have ever owned. It is very solid, well running machine. I can play all of my games a very high frame rates and they run smooth like a desktop. I would recommend Malibal for anyone that wants a long-lasting, nice, powerful laptop. "
"Having never heard of Malibal before I was a little worried purchasing through them. However, once I bit the bullet and placed my order I've been above and beyond satisfied with the laptop I received and their customer service. I couldn't have asked for a better experience purchasing a notebook. Past purchases with Dell and HP have always caused headaches almost immediately; I'm actually looking forward to doing business with Malibal again. Thanks so much for the great laptop at an unbeatable price Malibal! Your dedication to customer satisfaction truly shows and will definitely bring me back when I'm in the market for another notebook!"
"Although I had to cancel my order, they were very professional about it and helped me through every step."
"Malibal's website is easy and intuitive. Their customer support is fast, friendly and extremely helpful. Their prices are competitive but not the absolute lowest. However, when I received my laptop and booted it for the first time, Windows blue-screened and I had to do a clean install. Since no other reviewers on this or any other site have mentioned this problem, I'm assuming it was fluke or something. Overall, I would definitely use them again."
"Overall MALIBAL was very helpful when I asked any questions. They delivered my laptop on time and in great condition. I think I got lucky as I opted for the ground shipping and got it delivered to my door the day after it was sent out. One minor issue was that the sales representative I talked to told me that a promotional offer was expiring that night, when it did not expire until 2 weeks later. I assume this was just a minor internal miscommunication. But this did prevent me from shopping around a little more and looking at other resellers in detail."
"Before I bought from MALIBAL I did my research on other sites to compare prices like, Sager, XOTICPC, and a few other sites and MALIBAL was by far the cheapest. So I already thinking of going with them after doing my research. Their customer service is amazing. Everything I asked they answered for me through their chat really quickly. I recieved my laptop a couple weeks ago and its been phenomenal so far. I got a P151HM with a gtx560m i7 2630qm the AUO led matte screen and 8gb of RAM and it does everything I want it to do and more. If you are looking for a laptop, MALIBAL is the place to go. They are the cheapest and have the best customer service out of anyone. One weird thing is I thought they were from Las Vegas, NV but the laptop shipped from New York.. Which kinda gave me second thoughts at first. But I am very very happy with my purchase and I know that if anything ever goes wrong that MALIBAL support will always be there like they are supposed to be. One of the key things besides price now days is service and customer service. If you done have good customer service then you wont last long. And MALIBAL has it. I do have a computer background so I do know my stuff really well. MALIBAL has been a really pleasant experience so far. Very happy with my decision."
"Excellent service, super quick answers by chat, competitive prices and awesome products. I'm very satisfied. "
"Malibal is amazing. I called them with an order change and they gave me a discount on my new video card. I ordered ground shipping on a Friday. I assumed it would take 5-7 days so two weeks would be the time I thought I would get it. I ended up seeing them upgrading my order to 2nd day air on Wednesday without telling me or charging me. I received my laptop the next Friday. Simply amazing. My laptop, the Satori P170HM simply lives up to all the hype i've read on notebookreviews. The build quality is exactly as I expected I may be reviewing them a bit early after 2 days but so far I have zero problems with them. I would easily recommend them to any of my friends and family."

The p170hm is a beast of a machine, and coming from me that’s saying a lot; I am more of a desktop type of guy and I tend to stay away from laptops. Upon doing some research for a laptop for school, it came down to either this laptop or the asus g74/g73 laptop I am glad that I got this one. The display which is a 120hz monitor is breathtaking, Colors are accurate no dead or stuck dead pixels. One thing I was worried about was how well the screen was going to be since I found a webpage that this had one of the lowest contrast ratios on high end laptops. Boy was I wrong, I own a px2370 for my gaming rig and if anyone knows monitors that are one of the best gaming monitors to buy. I was also impressed with the sound system, of course you goingt to hook speakers up if you can but if you’re on the go these speakers sound amazing for a laptop as long as you press fn+5 for the extra 2 speakers and subwoofer to kick in. I do have some issues with the laptop first up is I don’t like that Clevo didn’t take advantage of extra keyboard space, I feel they should have spaced the keys out a lot more. This really isn’t an issue but it would have been nice if the keyboard was backlit but it is not a deal breaker. Also I am not fan of having ports in the back but once again not a deal breaker I can live with it. I would the biggest issue is the brushed aluminum/metal finish they have while it does look amazing and I get comments everywhere, I find myself cleaning the fingerprints off.
Malibal
Since Malibal is not widely known to costumers outside of the gaming community, like dell and the other big laptop makers, which I or someone I know have had bad experiences with. I feel that boutique pc builders should not only shine with a product which malibal/Clevo/Sager did. But mostly customer service. Considering other custom pc companies shipping was pretty fast. That’s another issues it’s kinda of hard to wait about 2 weeks for product you spend well over 1000 dollars for. I do like that they offered a free upgrade for the 120 hz 3d display which is why I got the gtx 485. If they didn’t offer it I would have got the 6990m since they would not have let me get birth the 120 Hz display and the 6990m. Yes I know the 6990m won’t work with 3d vision, I wanted the display for the 120 hz so it was disappointing that they didn’t let me have it. What was even more disappointing they didn’t even explained why; hell I would have accepted Amd and NVidia aren’t compatible. I do like that they called up my card company to verify it was me using the card. Overall a good experience however they did not impress so I will say I might be looking elsewhere next time I buy a clevo

"BLUF this laptop kicks ass! I have been waiting to submit my review until I received my Lotus P150HM-S1. I was initially frustrated with the online chat representative I spoke with about shipping time and the 7 days it took to arrive from the East Coast (Potsdam, NY). But now that it is here it is all that was advertised. So I guess the metaphor is correct, good things do come to those who wait. Hope the laptop holds up well during my deployment and extended warranty I purchased match my impressions of the initial build quality. "
"I initially ordered my Satori P170HM-S1 from South Korea on August 11th, 2011 and my payment was processed on August 25th, 2011. There was a two week delay because of a thermal issue with the 6990m card that I ordered, and another week of wait because Malibal did not have all the shipping documents ready to ship my laptop to South Korea. I was patient about waiting during the two week delay because I knew the GPU heating issue was not Malibal's fault, but I was unhappy about the delay in shipping just because UPS required shipping documents that Malibal did not know they had to fill.
I voiced my displeasure to Malibal about the shipping delay and I can attest that they worked hard to compensate me. During my considerably long wait, a newer configuration of the Satori-S1 was released and I asked Malibal to change my current order to the newer and better specs (the cost between the two specs were very close). They obliged my request and also gave me a free upgrade from Expedited Shipping to Express shipping. The waiting was unpleasant, but they satisfied me with the free upgrades, the express shipping, and the fact that they worked hard to build and send the newly configured laptop for me as soon as possible.
I am quite pleased with the quality of my laptop (it is a Clevo afterall), and would consider shopping at Malibal again because of their fairly low prices, and willingness to compensate the customer for unfortunate incidents that might occur."
“I'm so glad we could get you taken care of. Thanks so much for your understanding - we really appreciate it! :)”
"So far I'm very satisfied with Malibal. My order was suppose to ship yesterday, but when I called to check up on the status of my computer they said my screen was backing up the order. They offered to upgrade my screen for free so they can ship in two days. I thought loooong and hard about such a difficult decision and went with the upgrade. I'll post more when I actually get the computer. Thanks a bunch Malibal!"
"Prior to ordering from Malibal I spent a fair amount of time on notebook review and other various sites researching. I spoke with Malibal representatives both in their live chat and through private message on notebookreview. Each time the responses were prompt and on point. My laptop was received on time and in working order. The lettering was slightly crooked but that easily could have happened during shipping and I fixed it myself in a matter of seconds. Unfortunately, I received my the wrong cord to go from the wall to the power supply, I sent them an e-mail at midnight (their time) received an instant response and they sent the cord out the next morning. Overall I was extremely satisfied with Malibal and will definitely order from them in the future. A+"
"Yes, Malibal did deliver...for the most part! Here's the good, the bad, and some more good...
Positive:
Service and delivery were excellent. Delivered within the overnight time frame.
Negatives:
The only issue I have is with the product itself. I left the US a few days after I received the product so that I didn't really have a chance to inspect it in its entirety until I'm overseas. The problem I have is that upon closer inspection, I have 2 stuck pixels on my screen. They're NOT dead pixels, but they're stuck on the color red. They're only mostly noticeable when the background is black, but they're noticeable nonetheless. Though they don't detract from day to day activity using the laptop, they can be annoying at times.
Also, because the laptop remains cool at ALL times, the big fans pushing the heat for CPU and GPU cards can be loud most times. While it's good that the laptop is cool, the fans may need a "silencer" of some kind, akin to the silencer in pistols. Having said that, when you play games, the audio from the games will overcome the fans noise.
I find the power button to be a little less responsive. With a Macbook Pro, for example, a simple touch of the power button and the computer starts immediately. With Satori, sometimes you have to press a little hard to get it going. Not a major issue I suppose, but it's worth noting.
Touchpad is a multitouch, but it could be more sensitive and the touchpad area could be larger. Sorry, but I have to compare the multitouch with the best out there, and that has to be the Macbook Pro's touch pad (both in sensitivity and the touchpad area). It's good enough for a PC I suppose, since most of gamers will probably use Razer's, or Logitech's mice anyway.
Battery life should also be longer, though it may be asking too much for a gaming laptop since there's tradeoff between size and longevity of the battery . Ideally, the quality of the battery should mimic that of Apple products and perhaps one Dell "military" laptop that can last up to 19 hours on a single charge.
Positives:
The performance of this gaming laptop is amazing. Even with the mid-i7 processors, the speed is blazingly fast. Don't need the extreme i7 processor. Even with antivirus software, full startup and shut down only take 30 secs or less (though it may have to do with SSD more than anything). PC games are excellent of course, though I have to try it later with Elder Scrolls V Skyrim and Diablo III when they come out to see its full potential. PS: Diablo III better come out soon!
When testing the screen of the laptop, I was using various video games consoles to see its performance. With "some gadgets", I was able to play games using XBox360, PS3, and Wii consoles with this laptop on full screen. No noticeable downgrade in pixels transition, so the laptop screen is as good as any LED TV out there.
Audio is justified and comparable to any Alienware laptops out there. The nice thing about Satori is that the laptop is lighter than M17X with comparable performance, so this one is more portable than M17X. The body of the laptop remains cool at ALL times, especially around the keyboard and hand rest areas (this I haven't seen in any other Gaming laptops out there), although the fans noise issue was noted above.
Keyboard is relative easy to press and use. No major issues. The only suggestion I can add is that for the design of the 10-key, it should retain the normal 10-key design, otherwise, I keep typing the wrong buttons every time (e.g. the zero button).
Also, for future gaming laptops designers out there, while all the peripheral audio/video device outputs are excellent already, there isn't much audio/video inputs to the laptops. It'd be nice to think about having A/V/S input devices for the laptop for those mobile gamers out there. They will add value to the laptop essentially making it the ultimate device that can do it all.
I'm sure I have more to say, but I can't think of any right now, so this will be my review of the Satori P170HM Malibal laptop as of 09/10/11.

“Hi, tap firmly on the stuck pixels until they come unstuck. Also, for the power button - you need to press it firmly and hold until the notebook powers on. :)”
"My first order from somewhere other than the better known prefab makers. I had a couple of questions prior to my order which were responded to the same day via email and the laptop arrived prior to the quoted date. I marked moderately priced under products and services due to the specs I chose, not as a statement about their prices which were excellent. I would (and plan to) order from them again."
A rep from MALIBAL, MALIBAL, has responded:
“"This is probably the best laptop I have ever used."
We contacted this customer and asked why they gave such a low star rating, when they admittedly love the laptop, we shipped it out in 2 business days, which is faster than any other company, we gave them a far better deal than any other company - including $380 in FREE Upgrades and Discounts on a $1640 laptop, and we answered all of their emails and live chats in a very timely manner (usually within minutes) and they responded by saying that they would never give any company a 5 Star Rating... even if they thought it was a perfect experience, the best they would rate a company would be 4 out of 5 stars, so that's the reason why their star rating isn't exactly congruent with the actual experience they had, which was essentially perfect.
Thanks for reading. :)”
