"Chair arrived filthy, covered in black substance. Left arm rest is bent/crooked. Chair is missing lumbar support despite being advertised as "fully loaded". It was explained to me by a terrible woman in customer service that "fully loaded" does not mean "fully loaded" and I was stupid for thinking so."
"I ordered the "hardwood caster upgrade" on my Steelcase Leap 2. Within 5 minutes one of the casters fell apart. I asked for a refund on the casters, as clearly they are garbage and I'm going to have to purchase a quality set somewhere, but they refused and were only interested in sending me another cheap caster. Not my idea of customer service."
"To date, I have ordered three Steelcase Think chairs from Madison Seating. The first two came without a problem and are wonderful. So, I ordered a third chair late last month. When the chair arrived, the lever to move the chair’s gas case was not attached. When I contacted customer service for replacement parts and/or directions on how to fix the chair, they responded quickly. They offered to send me another chair and said I did not have to return the damaged chair. In exchange, they asked that I write a positive review. So far, Madison Seating has been responsive to my concerns. I intend to update this review once the replacement chair arrives. **Update** While it took almost 2 weeks and an email nudge, I eventually received the replacement chair. It works fine. One thing to note though: read carefully the description of the exact chair you are ordering. Unlike previous Steelcase Think chairs I've received in the past from Madison Seating, the chair I received did not have adjustable arms. :("
"The whole office is thrilled with their new chairs. The quality is far superior to any of the other brands we've used in the past. We found them to be extremely comfortable, stylish and easy to assemble. Madison Seating was very quick and accommodating with questions we had before/after the chairs arrived. Would definitely recommend the Leap Chair by Steelcase. Over a month of wear on them but they still look brand new!"
"I ordered a Steelcase Leap Chair V2 and received the item well packaged. The pneumatic lift did not work on the chair, but was timeously replaced with Fedex 2-day shipping. The customer service, both by telephone and email, was extremely helpful. I would recommend Madison Seating for well-priced high-end ergonomic chairs."
"I ordered 1 chair, then ordered 2 more. They kept calling to "confirm" the correct order. I called them back and said yes, all the orders were correct. They kept calling and then just cancelled it. Sounds like they really wanted to not fulfill the order. Probably oversold and no stock - that's the usual reason someone bugs you to cancel an order.
If you're on the internet, you are going to have to ship product. And if you deal with business, they don't want to waste money talking to you. Just deal with it. But for some reason, they don't have the controls to know what they're doing. Or again, maybe they oversold.
As usual, if you want to buy some thing for cheap, buy it from Amazon. They know what they're doing. The price might not be the lowest, but they don't waste your time."
"I ordered a Herman Miller Aeron, and this is roughly 9 months into my ownership. The chair arrived with 1 wheel locked in place, but this didn't matter much since I use the chair on carpet and have no need to roll around. Also there is a black granular substance on the back, and underside of the chair that gets on me when I touch it. I live in an apartment, so taking it outside to hose it off would be difficult.
Recently I've noticed that the left arm fails to stay in place, and will slide down the chair when I put any weight on it. The chair already falling apart further, led me to finally write this review.

"After ordering servreal Leap V2 chairs from Madison Seating with absolutely no problems, the height of my last chair. I them and they offered replace the chair. Several issues was back retention and gas shock along with adjustment. Was a faulty Steel Case Chair they offered to send me a replacement. How can you beat customer service like this! They are your Amazon of chairs! I will be doing business with them always.

I contacted customer service and they quickly send me out a replacement part. The replacement part did not fix the issue and upon contracting customer service again, they are sending me out replacement chair. They have been extremely responsive to my issue. "My chairs arrived over a week late. I called customer service 3 times during my given 21-day delivery window and was told each time that they would not work to ship the chairs out soon, and that I need to give them the full 21 days. I called on the 19th day and got that same response. I called on the 23rd day, and was *finally* connected to a customer service representative who agreed to get the chairs shipped.
Additionally, returns are very expensive. You must pay the full return shipping cost as well as a hefty percentage of original price as a restocking fee. I will not purchase from Madison Seating again. Their mild discount is not worth the other costs incurred from doing business with them."

"I recently ordered a chair and when it arrived, discovered it was damaged . I contacted Madison Seating immediately and their very kind customer service rep told me what information they would need in order to take care of this problem. I sent it to them and upon review, they set up to send me a new chair without me having to even return the damaged chair. All through the process, I was treated very well by professional and courteous people. This is VERY important to me. As a senior, it is very gratifying to deal with folks in the younger generations who are not only highly competent but also respectful. Would buy from Madison again and have already referred them!"
"I ordered a chair from Madison Seating that arrived with significant damage. I could not discern if it was a result of the carrier service damaging the chair rather than Madison shipping a damaged product. Regardless, upon bringing this to Madison's attention, I received exemplary customer service. Responses to my emails were prompt and courteous, and they offered to ship me a replacement chair, free of charge, without needing to return the damaged chair. Not even taking into account the considerable discount they offer relative to their competitors, I would order from Madison again. The level of service alone sets them apart. I have not yet received the replacement chair and will update this review once it arrives. This review was written upon request from the company and writing it was one of the conditions the company placed upon sending me another chair. "
