"I purchased a Steelcase Think chair in a light mint color from their site, waited weeks for it to arrive and upon arrival the chair is not at all what I ordered. I immediately reach out via email and try to resolve with customer support. They tell me they don't have the chair I ordered in stock - my first thought is why didn't they alert me that they didn't have it and just ship me a chair I didn't order instead? Why not offer me the option to either get a refund or select a different chair? Horrible customer service if you ask me. I was buying a chair to match an office and purchased what I needed so it's extremely frustrating to get a completely different chair. I ask for a return label to ship the chair back, they tell me if I do that I need to return it in two pieces, in original packaging material and original box. I also ask why the chair I ordered is still available for purchase on their webpage to which they reply: "All the products on our website are purchasable but no necessarily available." I ask again for the return label and get this reply from their customer service:
"Instead of having you repackage the chair and wait for it to come back to us for a replacement, we would like to simply refund you for the item and you can keep the chair for free.. All we ask in return is for you to write a positive review on Trustpilot.com about our company."
Essentially, write us a great review, lie to our customers about your experience and we'll give you a free chair!
I state that I don't want to write a fake review, I want to return and get a refund OR get the chair I ordered. I then get this email from them:
"Management is offering you the opportunity to keep this brand name chair for free!!
We are having a hard time understanding why this is not a satisfactory resolve.
We do not wish to further inconvenience you by having you box up and package the item for the return process.
If you do not want to keep the chair, we request you simply donate the item to a local charity of your choice."
I'm sorry but my reviews aren't for sale and people should really consider that when reading through the ones posted here. WHY can I not just return the chair?!"

"I ordered a desk chair for my back and it arrived on-time with free shipping. Once we got it out of the box, we noticed that it was damaged to the point that the chair was unusable. They have offered to send out a replacement chair for free and not send the damaged one back. I am writing a positive review as they have promised to send out a new one as soon as possible. I am hopeful that the new chair will arrive in perfect condition."
"Ordered a Steelcase Leap Chair V2 in „open box“ condition with Madison Seating. When the chair arrived it turned out that the seat was noticeably wobbling. I addressed the problem and their customer service (Andrew, Emma, Annie) were very responsive and always returned my emails immediately. Unfortunately, the problem could not be fixed. Hence, Madison Seating offered me (a) to send a replacement chair or (b) to keep the chair and get a full refund. The latter is subject to posting a review on this website. In case I will not receive the full refund as indicated from customer service, I will update this review accordingly. Assuming that the reimbursement will be completed to my satisfaction, I’m more than happy to consider Madison Seating for future business."

I'm giving them 4 stars, as I believe they will replace the item with-in a short time frame and that it will be everything we requested.

"Madison Seating shipped 11 chairs to our organization. The chairs that arrived were the correct model, however lacked one feature listed in the product description. Once I made the company aware, customer service immediately contacted me and acknowledged the error. Further complicating this was the fact that through this process, it became clear I actually ordered the wrong model which offered yet an additional feature. As a solution, the company offered to send me replacement parts that included not only the feature listed in the model i ordered but also the feature listed in the model I failed to order. They even supplied an entire chair to address minor damage likely caused by the shipper. We will be doing business with Madison Seating in the future."

"The chair arrived broken, so we have to contact them. Their management is very, very unprofessional and rude. They were not responsive on essential matters and they kept sending rude messages with lots of threats. After we returned the chair, they refused to confirm that they received it... I cannot imagine how horrible service they provided! I will never do business with them again."

"The chairs this company sells are good quality chairs, but not brand new. The prices and the customer service are very good, and if you have any problems, they will be resolved. We received a Steelcase Leap chair with a broken back support. I e-mailed customer service with a picture of the broken piece and they first offered me a 60% refund. I told them I would just rather have a replacement chair. They said no problem and offered to send another one and let us keep the broken one in exchange for this review. I will update this review once the new chair comes if there are any problems with it. If you order from Madison Seating, you will get a good quality chair for about 1/2 price, but you may have to deal with a few problems to get it. I think it is worth it.

I contacted the company and the response was pretty dry "You are certainly able to buy upgraded hardwood floor casters".... sure I can, but that is an extra cost and hassle that wasn't part of the deal."
