"I ordered a Steelcase leap chair from madisonseating and received it in great condition. I could not tell it was a refurb. I decided to give this one to an older colleague who has back problems and purchased the exact same chair again. Unfortunately due to FedEx mishandling the package even thought its clearly marked "fragile". The package was totally destroyed and many features did not work on the second chair. I contacted customer support and within hours they were ready to send me replace parts. Since i did not put the chair together until i received confirmation of the replacement parts once I assembled the chair, I noticed the piston did not hold a position. Immediately customer service informed me that they would be sending me a new chair and there was not need to return the faulty one. I will be doing some research to see it I can fix on my spare time. Great company, I will continue to do business with them."
"I encourage all prospective customers to read the reviews on this site, as well as BBB and TrustPilot. I wish I had! Notice how many involve a defective or discrepant chair being received. This company has a very unscrupulous business model, whereby they ship a defective chair, try to extort a false positive review in exchange for shipping a "free" replacement which turns out to be a different model. Then they want the customer to pay for return shipping and a restocking fee for their discrepant shipment. Madison Seating clearly does not stand behind their "100% Customer Satisfaction" claim. Thankfully, my credit card company agreed with the facts and credited me for the entire purchase. It was an exhaustive experience that I don't wish upon anyone."

"I ordered a Steel-case V2 Chair. The back arrived broken. They are a heavy chair. I e-mailed customer service and they said the would replace the chair but i was to keep the broken one. I did my own repair on the broken back so i would have something to use while i waiting for the replacement. When the new back arrived, i had a very hard time removing the base and cylinder from the broken back unit. The seal and bearing on the gas cylinder came out. I e-mailed customer service and right way they sent a new gas cylinder. This was fine but after installing it, it doesn't let you adjust the height of the seat. Again, i contacted customer service and said they would replace the entire chair. While the chair and parts haven't been great, Madison Seating customer service has been. "
"Over the past 5 years I've ordered 17 Aerons and Steelcases from Madison Seating in 3 different orders.
My most recent order was the first time one of the chairs arrived damaged, it was a Steelcase Leap whose upper seat wasn't level with the ground (the wheel base was but the seat itself was at a slant to the right).
I reached out to their customer service and they were super helpful and responsive and are sending me a replacement chair.
I was sad about the chair arriving damaged but they have been really great in fixing the situation for me and I'm looking forward to getting my replacement chair!"

One time I had the incorrect chair sent to me, they offered to send me the correct one and I'd get to keep the incorrect model as a gift. Per providing them this review. "I was thrilled to find a Steelcase chair at a steep discount through Madison Seating. Unfortunately, the chair was damaged when delivered - likely during shipping. I emailed customer service and got a prompt response. They will be sending a new replacement chair and said I should just keep the defective chair. "I bought and Aeron Herman Miller chair from madisonseating.com and the levers are broken upon arrival. The customer service rep emailed me instructions on how to adjust the chair. That does me no good if the levers are broken. BEWARE this company sells you garbage for hundreds dollars. This chair wasn’t worth the five hundred and fifty dollars I paid!! Now I have to buy a new chair after a few weeks of use. "
